Iran

Uh-oh I hear the sounds coming. I read an article on yahoo http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20050701/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush_iran Bush is now questioning the newly ELECTED President of Iran's past. Let's talk about Bush's past since he is so interested in other peoples lives. Bush, former drug addict, draft dodger, destroyed businesses, aided and abetid Osama Bin Laudin's family during 9/11 getting them out of the United States at taxpayer expense instead of inquiring where he might be, lying under oath to get us into a war in Iraq for Halliburton, murdering at least 1700 troops and an unknown number of Iraqi citizens again only for Halliburton.

Yeah Mr. Bush you have the right to talk about other peoples pasts

The speech

I'd like to comment on W's speech tonight with a dose of reality.

In his speech, Bush painted a rosie picture in Iraq hoping to get better approval rating and better support, but the american people who are waking up to the lies we were told in the buildup to the war.

Bush again tried to link Iraq to the war on terror which anyone who read the 9/11 commission report would know that these are two separate wars and this was not provoked in anyway that Bush just wanted the oil in Iraq and to give Cheney's Halliburton (follow the money) no bid contracts so they can get billions of tax-payer dollars

And another point Dubya tried to make is how "We are improving roads and schools and health clinics. We're working to improve basic services like sanitation, electricity and water. And together with our allies, we will help the new Iraqi government deliver a better life for its citizens."

Now it's funny how we have such poor roads and schools and healthcare and Bush isn't doing a thing about but I guess there isn't anything at stake here in the United States so he can ignore that.

Also from the speech "They are trying to shake our will in Iraq, just as they tried to shake our will on September 11, 2001. They will fail."

Mr. Bush to disagree with you, the terrorists are not "shaking our will in Iraq" you are. YOU are the reason we are there and YOU will take the fall

And something he didn't say to the soldiers which is if they come back, their benefits are cut and if they are lucky they can get an appointment at a V.A. hospital 6 months after they call.

This is again a disaster and is not decreasing terror but increasing terror. The best solution is send our men and women home so we can secure our own borders!

Bill O'Reilly

Ahh yes I love Sunday's. I can bash my favorite person Bill O'Reilly(not that I can't do it during the week if I want it but I choose Sunday) in the idiots sunday column http://www.billoreilly.com/currentarticle I have to take exception to pretty much everything he covers. So what I'm doing is going over point by point and if you agree or disagree I'd like to know.

First he calls people "dissenters" for stating that Dubya lied about the war,for stating Dubya is violating our civil rights with the Patriot Act and is a major human-rights violator.

Now not letting facts get in the way of Bush propoganda, when we went to War in Iraq Dubya said "Iraq had weapons of mass distruction and is going to use them against the United States" that has been proven wrong by every U.N. inspector that was sent there. Then he stated that "Iraq had a hand in the 9/11 attacks in New York and Washington" the 9/11 commission in the report they issued stated that there was little if no contact between Al Queda and Sadam Hussain. Now the latest lie is that the United States went to Iraq to spread democracy. Now correct me if I'm wrong but democracy is something that has to be desired by the people of indivudual countries and not something that one country needs to invade for it to be enforced.

Now onto the patriot act. Among the main thing that pisses me off regarding it is due the fact Police,FBI, whoever can come into your house, take anything they want, plant bugs and not even announce they have been there. That is right out of Hitler. NOthing more needs to be said cause there is more.

Then, he attacks Sen. Richard Durbin(D, Illinois) for comparing the torture chambers at Guantonimo Bay to what the Nazis and Soviets did in WW2. Now I just ask him and the likes one simple question: How would you feel if your son, daughter, mother, father was taken to a foreign country, not charged with any crime what-so-ever, and got the snot beat out of him because the government thought they had information?? Would you accept it if it was your loved one? I wouldn't and I don't accept "a few rough interrogators" as Mr. O'Reilly said it is.

Of course he doesn't ask Karl Rove to apologize for his comments stating "Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 and the attacks and prepared for war; liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding to our attackers"

Or he doesn't ask Sen. Rick Santorum(R, Pennsylvania) to apologize comparing Democrats to nazi's http://damnliberals.blogspot.com/2005/05/santorums-nazi-comparison-habit.html

Ladies and Gentlemen I urge you to say to this scumbag you demand "fair and balanced" news from him or else he will be boycotted!

Republican House

This is my 2nd post on the House of Representatives in a row. Ladies and Gentlemen, thanks to George's $870 million dollar prescription plan the House of Representatives voted to cut over $1 Billion dollars from other areas. http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/06/24/congress.spending.ap/index.html

Now this is a case where many are going to pay for the few. Among the cuts is The cuts include the outright elimination of 48 programs whose current budgets total $1 billion. Among the programs to be eliminated is the Healthy Communities Access Program, currently funded at $83 million, which helps communities offer health care to the uninsured.

Also eliminated is the $205 million budget for an Education Department grant program targeted at low-income and underachieving schools.

You remember the "Every Child Left Behind" that Bush signed?? That budget had $806 million cut from it. Training programs for training for doctors and nurses has had it's budget cut from $300 million to $47 million so such much for better training for that nevermind we already have a shortage.

Public Broadcasting got cut $100 million but is, for now, still on the air.

Ladies and Gentlemen I urge you to contact your representative whatever party they are and indicate you will not stand for programs being cut that is an essential need for our country!

"No Iraqi Timeline"

http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/06/23/iraq.rumsfeld/index.html there is a lot to right about tonight.. Karl Rove basically saying liberals are terrorists, Dick Cheney painting rosey outlooks for Iraq, the Supreme Court saying cities and states can come in and take your home but for this post I want to talk about Donald Rumsfeld stating that He said that such a timetable would "throw a lifeline to terrorists who in recent months have suffered significant losses and casualties, been denied havens and suffered weakened popular support"

I don't know what war Rummy is seeing but I'm seeing a war with over 1700 american deaths(which has been proven innacurate cause they won't release the number of death after soldiers are wounded, as well as the count of the wounded)we don't know how many Iraqi's we've killed for no other reason then for Halliburton to make billions as they are, we need to get the 135,000 troops we have home. This is a war that needs to end. We destroyed the country. We are spending billions for what? To make someone who was never a soldier (Bush) himself. This is nothing but ego and this so-called man needs to end this war or be impeached!

Freedom of Speech

I see in yet another attempt to put the dimise of the constitution http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/06/22/congress.flagburning.ap/index.html the House has passed a bill that bans flag burning. Now honestly I'm not a huge fan of this but I recognize the actual act as a freedom of speech I actually just have one question regarding this: Is there an epidemic of flag burning going on that I am not aware of?? Is there flag burning running amok in the street??

Please someone respond to this. Thanks

NPR

This letter was sent to me by my uncle it is required reading because it shows the rights determination to take over ALL forms of media

On NPR's Morning Edition, Nina Tottenberg announced that if the Supreme
Court supports Congress, it will, in effect, be the end of the National Public Radio
(NPR), National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), and the Public Broadcasting
System (PBS). PBS, NPR and the arts are facing major cutbacks in funding. In spite of the efforts of each station to reduce spending costs and streamline their services, some government officials believe that the funding currently going to these programs is too large a portion of funding for something which is seen as not worthwhile.

This petition is for anyone who thinks NPR/PBS is a worthwhile expenditure of $1.12/year
of their taxes. The only way that our representatives can be aware of the base of
support for PBS and funding for these types of programs is by making our voices heard.

Please add your name to this list and forward it to friends who believe in what this stands for. This list will be forwarded to the President and the Vice President of the
United States. This petition is being passed around the Internet. Please add
your name to it so that funding can be maintained for NPR, PBS, and the NEA.

HOW TO SIGN: IT'S EASY:
First SELECT all of the text in this message, then COPY and PASTE it into a new email (DO NOT FORWARD). ADD your name to the bottom of the list and SEND it toeveryone in
your list.

DON'T WORRY ABOUT DUPLICATES.
This is being sent to several people at once to add their names to the petition.
It won't matter if many people receive the same list as THE NAMES ARE BEING MANAGED. If you decide not to sign, please don't kill it. Send it to the email address listed here: wein2688@blue.univnorthco.edu

If you happen to be the 150th, 200th, 250th, etc., signer of this petition, please, forward a copy to the above address. This way we can keep track of the lists and
organize them. Send this to everyone you know, and help us to keep these programs alive. Thank you!

Terry Schiavo

I heard this on the news and found the link here http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/06/17/schiavo.governor.ap/index.html
It's nice for the Republicans and their so-called "cycle of life" and the fact the doctors in the autopsy said Micahel Schiavo did nothing wrong, Jeb Bush sent a letter to Pinellas-Pasco County State Attorney Bernie McCabe asking for an investigation to why Michael Schiavo waited to call 911 after his wife's injury.

My quesiton is this happened 15 years ago. Why now?? I realize the republicans still have egg on their faces since this completely fell apart for them. I have 3 words for them: LET IT GO!

This happened years ago no one cares except for your right to life freaks and how many more people go through this without republican interference?? Thousands. Republicans focus on the matters of the country which this is none.

The Right's Guy

I've said many times Bush has broken the law and should be impeached. Here is a list of articles of impeachment courtesy of votetoimpeach.org

1) Seizing power to wage wars of aggression in defiance of the U.S. Constitution, the U.N. Charter and the rule of law;
carrying out a massive assault on and occupation of Iraq, a country that was not threatening the United States, resulting
in the death and maiming of tens of thousands of Iraqis, and hundreds of U.S. G.I.s.

2) Lying to the people of the U.S., to Congress, and to the U.N., providing false and deceptive rationales for war.

3) Authorizing, ordering and condoning direct attacks on civilians, civilian facilities and
locations where civilian casualties were unavoidable.

4) Threatening the independence and sovereignty of Iraq by belligerently changing its
government by force and assaulting Iraq in a war of aggression.

4) Authorizing, ordering and condoning assassinations, summary executions, kidnappings, secret
and other illegal detentions of individuals, torture and physical and psychological coercion of
prisoners to obtain false statements concerning acts and intentions of governments and
individuals and violating within the United States, and by authorizing U.S. forces and agents
elsewhere, the rights of individuals under the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Eighth Amendments
to the Constitution of the United States, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the
International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

5) Making, ordering and condoning false statements and propaganda about the conduct of foreign
governments and individuals and acts by U.S. government personnel; manipulating the media
and foreign governments with false information; concealing information vital to public
discussion and informed judgment concerning acts, intentions and possession, or efforts to obtain
weapons of mass destruction in order to falsely create a climate of fear and destroy opposition to
U.S. wars of aggression and first strike attacks.

6) Violations and subversions of the Charter of the United Nations and international law, both a
part of the "Supreme Law of the land" under Article VI, paragraph 2, of the Constitution, in an
attempt to commit with impunity crimes against peace and humanity and war crimes in wars and
threats of aggression against Afghanistan, Iraq and others and usurping powers of the United
Nations and the peoples of its nations by bribery, coercion and other corrupt acts and by rejecting
treaties, committing treaty violations, and frustrating compliance with treaties in order to destroy
any means by which international law and institutions can prevent, affect, or adjudicate the
exercise of U.S. military and economic power against the international community.

7) Acting to strip United States citizens of their constitutional and human rights, ordering
indefinite detention of citizens, without access to counsel, without charge, and without
opportunity to appear before a civil judicial officer to challenge the detention, based solely on the
discretionary designation by the Executive of a citizen as an "enemy combatant."

8) Ordering indefinite detention of non-citizens in the United States and elsewhere, and without
charge, at the discretionary designation of the Attorney General or the Secretary of Defense.

9) Ordering and authorizing the Attorney General to override judicial orders of release of
detainees under INS jurisdiction, even where the judicial officer after full hearing determines a
detainee is wrongfully held by the government.

10) Authorizing secret military tribunals and summary execution of persons who are not citizens
who are designated solely at the discretion of the Executive who acts as indicting official,
prosecutor and as the only avenue of appellate relief.

11) Refusing to provide public disclosure of the identities and locations of persons who have
been arrested, detained and imprisoned by the U.S. government in the United States, including in
response to Congressional inquiry.

12) Use of secret arrests of persons within the United States and elsewhere and denial of the right
to public trials.

13) Authorizing the monitoring of confidential attorney-client privileged communications by the
government, even in the absence of a court order and even where an incarcerated person has not
been charged with a crime.

14) Ordering and authorizing the seizure of assets of persons in the United States, prior to
hearing or trial, for lawful or innocent association with any entity that at the discretionary
designation of the Executive has been deemed "terrorist."

15) Institutionalization of racial and religious profiling and authorization of domestic spying by
federal law enforcement on persons based on their engagement in noncriminal religious and
political activity.

16) Refusal to provide information and records necessary and appropriate for the constitutional
right of legislative oversight of executive functions.

17) Rejecting treaties protective of peace and human rights and abrogation of the obligations of
the United States under, and withdrawal from, international treaties and obligations without
consent of the legislative branch, and including termination of the ABM treaty between the
United States and Russia, and rescission of the authorizing signature from the Treaty of Rome
which served as the basis for the International Criminal Court.

and to think this is while he's in the White House he's done more crooked stuff as governor of Texas and prior.

Rush Said it would be like this

I always liked the quote from Gene Hackman from the movie "The Birdcage." I sometimes listen to the drug addict either if I can't sleep to cure my insomnia or if I ever need a laugh at the foolishness of him and when listening the 14th I heard him say something that even suprised me at the time but thinking about it I figure he must be as usual in a drug induced state. Rush said "Let me tell you something, folks, if we are hit again, if we are hit again, we need to hold these people in our country who are undermining our efforts responsible. It ain't going to be the FBI's fault next time. It isn't going to be the CIA's fault next time. It isn't going to be some bureaucracy's fault next time. It's going to be the fault of politicians, left-wing groups and the like who have names and identities and spend their every waking moment trying to obstruct our ability to secure intelligence information for our own national security.

You want some names: [Sen. Patrick] Leahy [D-VT], [Sen. Joseph R.] Biden [D-DE], [Sen. Richard J.] Durbin [D-IL], [Sen. Barbara] Boxer [D-CA], [Sen. Edward] Kennedy [D-MA], [Senate Majority Leader Harry] Reid [D-NV], Newsweek, Time, The New York Times, Amnesty International. If we get hit again, these are the names of the people and organizations we need to look at when we're trying to find out why and how it happened. "

Now ladies and gentlemen I ask you.. Who's in charge of the country?? Last I checked until he hopefully gets impeached George W. Bush,Dick Cheney,Bill Frist,Dennis Hasert,Donald Rumsfield,Condelisa Rice and last I checked they are not democrats, they are Republicans. Last I also checked is they were responsible and in charge when 9/11 happened. Last I also checked they were warned August 6th,2001 in a presidential daily briefing that Osama Bin Laudin was going to use planes in "non-conventional" hijackings and they chose not to do anything about it.

So ladies and gentlement I am now telling you the following: If anyone listens to the druggie and believes what that drug addict says. While it's your choice you are the ones not doing the reasearch for the truth. What I listed above is the truth.

Michael Jackson

Now that Michael Jackson has been found not guilty I was wondering if the media can cover more important stories such as oh a few of the following:

$8 billion dollars intended for the war in Iraq that's missing. Not many reports on that.

The Downing street memo. Barely a word on "liberal" news channels like CNN

Another recent memo leaked to the washington post echoing the Downing Street Memo.

How the right is so afraid of New York Senator Hilary Clinton running for office 3 YEARS FROM NOW they are already attacking her.

Just a few thoughts.

Aid to Africa

I know those who are reading this expect my sunday post to be about Bill O'Reilly being stupid as he always is but today I want to talk about something else that's been bothering me and that is the big aid package Dubya announced this week for Africa.http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4613987.stm Bush wants to send $674 million dollars of taxpayer money to buy, I mean support the poor countries is a good thing but it's funny how Bush can find all this money for Iraq, for this, for Tsunami but he can't seem to find money for U.S. issues like Social Security (this money could help that), how to combat Illegal Immigration, education and other seemingly non-important (I guess at least to him) issues in America. Think about it.

Tobacco Settlement

Where to start..I guess at the beginning since sometimes a history lesson is in order.

President Clinton had the justice department sue the tobacco industry for $135 million dollars because they have lied about health issues on cigaretts. Its been in the courts for years cause the tobacco industry doesn't take responsibility for this.

Now since we have Mr. Dubya in office he has just settled the case for not $135 billion, not $100 billion, not $50 billion not $25 billion but $10 billion dollars which to these people is like $100 dollars.

This is another reason this guy has to go. Now I understand no one forces anyone to start smoking but in the settlement there is no education about how tobacco is not healty or about 2nd hand smoke nothing so in essence Bush's buddy in the tobacco industry get off scott-free. Think about it ladies and gentlemen

Texas

I saw yesterday in Mr. Bush's home state of Texas the current governor signed a bill at a church that requires minors to get parents permission to get abortions and bans on late-term abortions as well as signing a law the the Texas legislature passed that bans gay marriage(even though such a law would have to be passed by the voters since it is in the stuck-up state of Texas it will probably pass) now ladies and gentlemen there are a few things wrong here first of which the bill was signed in a church! Now I respect religions mine being Jewish but we have separation of church and state and it seems to me this violates that (by the way they were doing sirmons during the cerimony) 2nd off I'm pro choice. I think abortions should be legal under any circumstances and I'm really fearing if one of the liberal supreme court justices retires soon they will overturn Roe v. Wade and most states would then outlaw abortion.

Texas

I see recently where Texas Gov. Rick Perry signed a bill at a church school the requires minto to get written parental consent for abortions and imposed limes on late-term abortions. Perry also signed a resolution to amend Texas constitutuion to ban gay marriages. Ladies and gentlemen there are a few things wrong (by the way I found this READING the latimes) with this. First this was signed at a church while they were doing religious references which correct me if I'm wrong but don't we have sepearation of church and state and last I checked Texas is a state. I realize the right are against any kind of choice whatsoever but this is another right wing wacko trying to take away our freedoms and as my usual posts state they have to be voted out before we have no rights.

Guess who's back.. My favorite Sunday whipping boy

Ah yes. My favorite Sunday target is back for a grilling. Bill O'Reilly is back and in his latest column, which while the lazy ass (or webmaster) hasn't updated his site yet http://www.billoreilly.com/currentarticle he yet again is claiming the media is against the freak in the white house. He claims the media is "torturing" Bush. Yet in his column he brings the New York Times, who from what I have read has been more toward Bush then against, Newsweek, who was accurate on telling THE TRUTH about the torture and desecration of the quran, and two columnists Richard Cohen and Bob Herbert. Now of the hundreds and thousands of media who kiss Bush's ass everday(and Mr. O'Reilly that includes right wing radio, right wing tv like your network, most of cnn, msnbc) he can only talk about 4 people. You idiots who support him and the people like him need to wake up. He is among many who are saying it's ok to torture the people we are kidnapping, nevermind how outraged he would be if it was one of our troops who was being tortured. He is the one warning us how devasting it would be when a democrat is elected as President as it will be in 2008 yet he is forgetting what Bush has done to our own economy and many other hippocritical things he has said and done over the years. Again ladies and gentlemen he and his likes are what's wrong with this country and the left need to take over by any legal means necessary!

Robert Novak again

Outer of the cia agent Robert Novak is at it again. From mediamaters.com and my own eyes on the June 2 edition of Crossfire Rober Novak made these comments about New York Senator and hopefully future Presidential Canidate Hilary Clinton

NOVAK: "I don't bash Hilary because I think she's weak, I don't bash her because I think she's strong, I bash her because I like to."

Novak has in the past called Hilary mean and Madame Defarge. And what that means for those on the right who can't and don't read Madame Defarge is the evil character in the Charles Dickens classic "A Tale of Two Cities"

Ladies and Gentlemen this is typical right hypocricy. The right are so arrogant and insecure about themselves they feel they can make fun of, lie about and do whatever the hell they want but when they get called on it and when they are the perpretrator of lies, nothing should happen to them. They are the most unethical people I know of and we need to as a nation vote them out of office and hope never to hear from these arrogant blowhards again!

Deep Throat

So they finally after all these years found out who Deep Throat is from Watergate. W. Mark Felt is a hero for coming clean after all these years. That took guts. Congrats. From mediamaters.com you got the first salvos from Ben Stein(like he's significant), the drug addict Limbaugh and BUchanaon stating that cause Nixon had to resign due to him breaking the law, that was why the United States lost the Vietnam War. Here are the exact quotes:

  • BUCHANAN: There's something deadly serious here. People that brought down Nixon also resulted in the fall of South Vietnam, the death of hundreds of thousands of people. ... Nixon was brought down by people who were a hell of a lot worse than he was. [MSNBC's Hardball with Chris Matthews, 5/31/05]
  • LIMBAUGH: Had they not brought down Nixon, we wouldn't have lost Vietnam. Had [they] not brought down Nixon, the Khmer Rouge would not have come to power and murdered two million people in a full-fledged genocide. [The Rush Limbaugh Show, 6/1/05]
  • STEIN: When his [Nixon's] enemies brought him down, and they had been laying for him since he proved that Alger Hiss was a traitor, since Alger Hiss was their fair-haired boy, this is what they bought for themselves in the Kharma Supermarket that is life:

1.) The defeat of the South Vietnamese government with decades of death and hardship for the people of Vietnam.

2.) The assumption of power in Cambodia by the bloodiest government of all time, the Khmer Rouge, who killed a third of their own people, often by making children beat their own parents to death. No one doubts RN [Richard Nixon] would never have let this happen.

Now Ladies and Gentlemen of the interenet here is further proof how unintellegent losers these people are. Nixon broke the law(like Clinton and the current resident in the White House) this brave individual (W. Mark) had the courage to advise Woodward and Bernstein about it and they are villans? I need to know why no less then a medal of honor should be given to W. Mark Felt for his bravery.
