Times need to change

I would like to talk about free speech and how it doesn't always work out. Especially if you are speaking in favor of pro-gay rights. The latest is a former NFL player Chris Kluwe. He was a punter for Minnesota until he was released.

He feels he was released because he is outspoken in his pro-gay rights beliefs. And he may have standing. Last year, Brendon Ayanbadejo of the Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens, was unable to sign with a team. He is also outspoken in favor of gay rights.

In the NBA no one signed Jason Collins after he came out as being gay.

There is free speech here last I checked.

  1. There is also the freedom to hire the personnel you want. At least there should be.
