Just wanted to say to all of you Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanza, Happy Boxing Day, Happy Chanukah. In other words whatever holliday you celebrate may it be happy and joyous.

Remember do not drink and drive especially this weekend I've seen so many police cars this weekend it's much easier to take a cab or bus if you decide to drink. You will save lives.

Response to a letter

I'd like to respond to a letter in today's Los Angeles Times. The letter writter said that we were invaded on 9/11 and habeas corpus rights for enemy combatants should not be allowed.

First we were not invaded on 9/11 we were attacked. The people who attacked us were killed. We invaded a country where the attacker (in case you forget like Bush has that persons name is Osama Bin Laden) and let the person responsible for the attack escape where he is still at large today.

We also ignored the country (Saudi Arabia) where a majority of the people who attacked us were from and where Osama Bin Laden was from and where I think he is. Bush also instead of detaining Osama Bin Laden's relatives perhaps getting an idea where he is decided to let them fly away on 9/11 at taxpayer expense. Remember that important piece of information especially since no one else was able to fly.

And also remember despite what Bush and Cheney and the right-wing media has claimed was also invaded a country that had no weapons of mass destruction and had nothing to do with the attacks on 9/11 which was Iraq. Iraq had no terrorists til after we invaded Al Queda was not there til after we invaded and we killed more people in Iraq then Saddam Hussein was convicted for. Remember that.

So I guess what I'm telling the letter writter is that we were not invaded on 9/11 so your argument is false.

Wonder if the right is going to call this an activist judge? A FEDERAL JUDGE cut the $5 Billion dollar award by a jury to Alaskans who had to deal with the cleanup and loss of revenue to do the Exxon Valdez.

So Bush issued pardons as all Presidents do this time of year. One of the people Bush pardoned was a donor to his Presidential Campaign and the Republican Party. So on MSNBC typical Republican Strategist Cheri Jacobus as usual got the priorities wrong when it game to Virgil Goode's (R) comments towards newly elected Muslim-AMERICAN Keith Ellison. If you recall Goode (being another racist right-winger in a long list of them).

So here is how Ms. Jacobus spun it yesterday:

JACOBUS: Well, first of all, I'm a pretty big fan of free speech, so even if Congressman Goode's remarks were somewhat inelegant, if you read the blogs today there are a lot of people who sort of get his larger point -- first on immigration -- but also, you do have a newly elected Democrat [sic] Muslim member of Congress who seems to be proactive in making a stink about this, saying, "I will not be sworn in with my hand on the Bible like every other elected member to Congress before me."

First off they are not supposed to be sworn in on anything. All members are supposed to do is RAISE THEIR HANDS IN THE AIR. It is the congressperson's choice if they want to be sworn in on the bible. But the "person" continued:

JACOBUS: And he could have -- look, if he wasn't trying to make a stink about it, if he wasn't trying to cause controversy, what he should have done, and the mature thing to do and the diplomatic thing to do, would be to say, "You know, I think I would like both." But instead, you have a newly elected member of Congress trying to cause controversy, and yet we're focusing on Virgil Goode? I think that's a little bit strange.

The only people making a stink about it are the right-wingers. No one else. But again (Robert I know you don't like this) more racism for the racist right.

Only in Texas. A FOUR YEAR OLD was leaving his school when the four year old hugged his teacher. An aid saw this and it was put on the FOUR YEAR OLD'S record that he engaged in "inappropriate physical behavior interpreted as sexual contact and/or sexual harrasment." Again this is a four year old.

Since then the school district has removed the sexual contact and sexual harrasment part but inappropriate physical behavior remains as part of the four year old's record.

Something is wrong and I can't wait for the lawsuit in this one.

Obsession

It's funny watching the conservative Republican ass-kissing media at work. They continuously bash Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and yet they call John McCain a "maverick" yet if they actually LOOK at his record they will see he has the fourth most conservative voting record in the Senate.

Guiliani get nothing but praise but people forget he is only popular because he was mayor of New York on 9/11. No other reason up until 9/10 he was the LEAST popular mayor in New York. I was there during 1998 and remember that.

As for Gingrich what can you say about a "man" who sends divorce papers to his wife while she is in the hospital being treated for cancer? About a man partially responsible (with Bill Clinton) for failed legislation like NAFTA?

Yet they are getting nothing but praise from the mainstream media. Sad.

Blame Game

Republican Joe Lieberman is wrong. Let's see if he has the guts to admit it. (Yes I know he claims he's a Democrat but he is nothing more then a Republican suck up to Bush). If you recall on election day he whined how challenger Ned Lamont caused his website to crash. Here is the official report:

he U.S. attorney's office and state attorney general have cleared former U.S. Senate candidate Ned Lamont and his supporters of any role in the crash of U.S. Sen. Joseph Lieberman's campaign Web site hours before last summer's Democratic primary.

State Attorney General Richard Blumenthal confirmed the joint investigation "found no evidence of tampering or sabotage warranting civil action by my office." Both men declined to provide additional information, such as what might have happened to the site


So in otherwords Lieberman's cheap campaign was to blame. I hope he has the guts to apologize. I doubt it though. By the way this report is wrong too from CNN:

"This type of dirty politics has been a staple of the Lamont campaign from the beginning, from the nonstop personal attacks to the intimidation tactics and offensive displays to these coordinated efforts to disable our Web site," said Smith in a statement e-mailed to reporters Monday evening.

"There is no place for these Rovian tactics in Democratic politics, and we demand that our opponent call off his supporters and their online attack dogs."

So that's one for CNN to do but they won't also being the Republican kiss-asses they are.

Basketbrawl

You all know I'm a big sports fan. I love watching sports. I'd like to briefly talk about the disgusting fight last night between players of the Denver Nuggest and the New York Knicks.

First I hope NBA Head Honcho David Stern throws the book in terms of suspension of the players involved. The precedent was set with the Ron Artest brawl in Detroit and as far as I'm concerned this is the same thing. So to me that means Mardy Collins (who started it the the flagrant foul) and Carmelo Anthony (who threw a punch) should be gone for the year should be gone for the year. Period. Everyone else should get at least 20 games. There is no room for the disgusting display last night.

And a memo to New York Knick coach Isoah Thomas, who whined about the fact the Nuggest had their players in. Grow up. You were a baby when you were a player and now that you have no chance in New York you are more of a baby. You need control of your players.

I bring this up cause my friend Bill O'Idiot is upset again. He's upset at the Bush dominated Supreme Court not looking at a case (which they really shouldn't) about a Nativity scene in New York. Here is a few experts from his column (which could be read in the Los Angeles Daily News today).

"Well, the Supreme Court punted. The justices were supposed to decide weeks ago whether or not to hear a blatant example of anti-Christian bias in New York City. But still no decision.

The case concerns a policy by the New York City public schools to allow displays of the Star and Crescent flag for Ramadan and the Menorah for Hanukkah, but to ban the Nativity scene at Christmas time. The decision makes no legal sense, as the federal courts have previously ruled that so-called "religious" displays can appear on public property, as long as there is no preference given to one religion over another.

But no, the Supreme Court justices are now on their Christmas break, and have left the country adrift once again. The anti-Christmas forces are still clinging to the bogus separation of church and state argument that does not appear anywhere in the Constitution. If Thomas Jefferson were alive today, he would mock these secular fools and then retire to his Virginia estate for Christmas dinner.

Here is the bottom line: If you're offended by Christmas, you have a problem. See somebody or tough it out. But enough with the petty nonsense. When Christmas images have to be decided by the Supreme Court, you know things are out of control"




First, I did a little research on his Thomas Jefferson reference. Here are some facts(you can google search this as I did)

* In a letter to Samuel Miller, Jefferson wrote: "I consider the government of the United States as interdicted by the Constitution from intermeddling with religious institutions, their doctrines, discipline, or exercises. This results not only from the provision that no law shall be made respecting the establishment or free exercise of religion, but from that also which reserves to the states the powers not delegated to the United States. Certainly, no power to prescribe any religious exercise or to assume authority in religious discipline has been delegated to the General Government."
* Also to Miller, Jefferson wrote: "I do not believe it is for the interest of religion to invite the civil magistrate to direct its exercises, its discipline, or its doctrines; nor of the religious societies, that the General Government should be invested with the power of effecting any uniformity of time or matter among them. Fasting and prayer are religious exercises. The enjoining them, an act of discipline. Every religious society has a right to determine for itself the times for these exercises and the objects proper for them according to their own particular tenets; and this right can never be safer than in their own hands where the Constitution has deposited it. ... Everyone must act according to the dictates of his own reason, and mine tells me that civil powers alone have been given to the President of the United States, and no authority to direct the religious exercises of his constituents."
* Jefferson also believed in keeping religion out of public schools, as noted in his statements during the passage of the Elementary School Act of 1817: "Ministers of the Gospel are excluded [from serving as Visitors of the county Elementary Schools] to avoid jealousy from the other sects, were the public education committed to the ministers of a particular one; and with more reason than in the case of their exclusion from the legislative and executive functions. ... No religious reading, instruction or exercise, shall be prescribed or practiced [in the elementary schools] inconsistent with the tenets of any religious sect or denomination."


So to me Mr. Jefferson is saying the exact opposite of what Bill O'Idiot is saying he is. Remember we have the right to worship how we wish contrary to what O'Idiot thinks and he directly contradicts himself yet again when he first rights how upset he is with the Supreme Court for not taking the case YET he is upset also that the case had to go there.

Death Penalty

I've always taken the non-liberal position on thedeath penalty. I'm for them. It astounds me how people think that people who are convicted of killing other people should be left alive. So you might imagine how I feel when I see people who are so against the death penalty protest prisons and insult I feel the families of the victims by their appearence there. Also things like this disturb me.

Florida Gov. Jeb Bush halted executions in Florida because someone who was executed took 34 minutes to die after his lethal injection was not inserted properly. I say poor baby he should of thought of the consequence when the person did the crime he was convicted of. If you suffer I say good. I say you deserve what you get and if you are not prepared to do the time and face the consequence of your actionts don't do the crime.

It's sad that people feel more sorry for the criminal then the victim.

I would like to say something nice about outgoing Sec. of Defense Donald Rumsfeld but I really can't. He like Bush is responsible for the deaths of so many U.S. Soldiers it's not funny. I only hope there is someone brave enough to charge them all with war crimes and sentence them to hang from the highest tree. Has anyone noticed the upswing of the theft of our personal records? Just this week "hackers" broke into the UCLA system and got access to 800,000 student records and I see where "hackers" broke into Boeing and got 382,000 employee records.

First if you recall Mel Gibson never DIRECTLY apologized for his racist tirade after his drunk driving arrest. His publisist said he apologized but words were never directly out of Gibson's mouth. I say that alot when it comes to my favorite Bill O'Idiot but in his column (by the way on the FRONT PAGE of the viewpoints in the Los Angeles Daily News)he is really over the line.

People like him blame everyone BUT the person or people responsible. For instance he actually blames the MEDIA for what's going on in Iraq. The MEDIA's (which as always he forgets he's a part of)job is to report the news. No more no less. The media did not create the occupation we have in Iraq and the media is reporting the facts about the occupation. Now blame the war really on a couple of things. First it's EVERY Democrat and Republican congressmen and congresswoman as well as EVERY Senator again of both parties who said Bush could invade Iraq but the majority of blame goes to the moron in the White House named George W. Bush.

Why is it his fault? Let's see... He invaded Iraq based on intelligence he tilted to his views, he invaded Iraq without a plan, he invaded Iraq and lied to the public on how quick it would end. He lied about the reasons going to Iraq. That is who deserves the blame for Iraq.

A citizen's guide to protecting marriage.

No matter how you feel about gay marriage, we should be able to agree that the citizens and their elected representatives must not be excluded from a decision as fundamental to society as the definition of marriage. There are lessons from my state's experience that may help other states preserve the rightful participation of their legislatures and citizens, and avoid the confusion now facing Massachusetts.

In a decision handed down in November, a divided Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts detected a previously unrecognized right in our 200-year-old state constitution that permits same-sex couples to wed. I believe that 4-3 decision was wrongly decided and is deeply mistaken.

Contrary to the court's opinion, marriage is not "an evolving paradigm." It is deeply rooted in the history, culture and tradition of civil society. It predates our Constitution and our nation by millennia. The institution of marriage was not created by government and it should not be redefined by government.

Marriage is a fundamental and universal social institution. It encompasses many obligations and benefits affecting husband and wife, father and mother, son and daughter. It is the foundation of a harmonious family life. It is the basic building block of society: The development, productivity and happiness of new generations are bound inextricably to the family unit. As a result, marriage bears a real relation to the well-being, health and enduring strength of society.

Because of marriage's pivotal role, nations and states have chosen to provide unique benefits and incentives to those who choose to be married. These benefits are not given to single citizens, groups of friends, or couples of the same sex. That benefits are given to married couples and not to singles or gay couples has nothing to do with discrimination; it has everything to do with building a stable new generation and nation.

It is important that the defense of marriage not become an attack on gays, on singles or on nontraditional couples. We must recognize the right of every citizen to live in the manner of his or her own choosing. In fact, it makes sense to ensure that essential civil rights, protection from violence and appropriate societal benefits are afforded to all citizens, be they single or combined in nontraditional relationships.

So, what to do?

• Act now to protect marriage in your state. Thirty-seven states--38 with recent actions by Ohio--have a Defense of Marriage Act. Twelve states, including Massachusetts, do not. I urge my fellow governors and all state legislators to review and, if necessary, strengthen the laws concerning marriage. Look to carefully delineate in the acts themselves the underlying, compelling state purposes. Explore, as well, amendments to the state constitution. In Massachusetts, gay rights advocates in years past successfully thwarted attempts to call a vote on a proposed constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. This cannot happen again. It is imperative that we proceed with the legitimate process of amending our state constitution.

• Beware of activist judges. The Legislature is our lawmaking body, and it is the Legislature's job to pass laws. As governor, it is my job to carry out the laws. The Supreme Judicial Court decides cases where there is a dispute as to the meaning of the laws or the constitution. This is not simply a separation of the branches of government, it is also a balance of powers: One branch is not to do the work of the other. It is not the job of judges to make laws, the job of legislators to command the National Guard, or my job to resolve litigation between citizens. If the powers were not separated this way, an official could make the laws, enforce them, and stop court challenges to them. No one branch or person should have that kind of power. It is inconsistent with a constitutional democracy that guarantees to the people the ultimate power to control their government.

With the Dred Scott case, decided four years before he took office, President Lincoln faced a judicial decision that he believed was terribly wrong and badly misinterpreted the U.S. Constitution. Here is what Lincoln said: "If the policy of the government upon vital questions affecting the whole people is to be irrevocably fixed by decisions of the Supreme Court, the instant they are made in ordinary litigation between parties in personal actions the people will have ceased to be their own rulers, having to that extent practically resigned their government into the hands of that eminent tribunal." By its decision, the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts circumvented the Legislature and the executive, and assumed to itself the power of legislating. That's wrong.

• Act at the federal level. In 1996, President Clinton signed the Defense of Marriage Act. While the law protects states from being forced to recognize gay marriage, activist state courts could reach a different conclusion, just as ours did. It would be disruptive and confusing to have a patchwork of inconsistent marriage laws between states. Amending the Constitution may be the best and most reliable way to prevent such confusion and preserve the institution of marriage. Sometimes we forget that the ultimate power in our democracy is not in the Supreme Court but rather in the voice of the people. And the people have the exclusive right to protect their nation and constitution from judicial overreaching.

People of differing views must remember that real lives and real people are deeply affected by this issue: traditional couples, gay couples and children. We should conduct our discourse with decency and respect for those with different opinions. The definition of marriage is not a matter of semantics; it will have lasting impact on society however it is ultimately resolved. This issue was seized by a one-vote majority of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. We must now act to preserve the voice of the people and the representatives they elect.


That is to me the definition of a flip-flop. But when I was watching Fox this morning they say he "changed position" on the issue. Now I'm confused cause when John Kerry "changed position" on issues he was accused of being a flip-flopper by the same network that is saying that it's ok for Mitt Rommey (R). Sounds like the perfect definition of hypocrite to me.

In the last act of insulting the american public the Republican led Congress and Senate decided as usual NOT to do the business of the american people but to do the last bidding of the Bush Administration. Instead of passing the stop gap measures in the budget, something which needed to be done, they decided to extend the tax cuts which a majority of the public doesn't see.

They also showed they don't give a damn about the public when they allowed 8.3 million acres in the Gulf of Mexico open for drilling. They also showed that they only care about covering their asses when the ethics committe said nothing was wrong with what they did in the Foley scandel.

In otherwords the lazy pieces of trash left the REAL WORK for the Democrats.

Remember how I said yesterday how the right is going to have a fit over Mary Chaney's pregnancy? Here are a few quotes so far (courtesy of americablog)

I see where Vice President Dick Cheney's lesbian daughter Mary Cheney is pregnant. Congrats to her and her partner on this wonderful news for them. I wonder how the right-wing is going to handle this since they are against this type of thing. Can't wait to hear this.

I called right-wingers psychopaths a little while ago and I have more proof. Max Boot's column in today's Los Angeles Times proves my point. He advocates invading Russia. That's right. Here is the last paragraph:

I was watching Bill O'Idiot last night (I couldn't sleep and he is usually the cure) and he immediately went into his usual double-standard. He commented on newly elected Senator from Virginia Jim Webb's recent war of words with George Bush and blasted him for "disrespecting the President"!

First here is the conversation you can tell me who disrespected who:
But when Bush asked about his son, a Marine serving in Iraq, Webb hinted at the campaign criticism.

"I'd like to get them out of Iraq, Mr. President," Webb said, according to a description of the conversation by several people. Webb confirmed the account last week.

"That's not what I asked you," Bush replied. "How's your boy?"

"That's between me and my boy, Mr. President," Webb responded.

So Bush is rude first by the account(not suprisingly) and Webb responded. Webb was rude but after all the crap the right-wingers but him through in the election I think it's to be expected.

Now what gets me to O'Idiot is he spent 8 years disrespecting President Bill Clinton on a daily basis but that's ok because he is a democrat. So righties can do whatever they want according to the moron. That's what's gotta change.

My god

While I was getting ready for the UCLA win over USC (I haven't had the right to brag for 7 years so please bear with me) I saw a story on Faux News that I had to comment about. The piece on the screen said "NYU Students complain they are being abused because they are conservative."

I haven't laughed so hard in ages. My god do these "people" have lives? Welcome to reality. Life is hard and welcome to what their leaders do to other people. I'm sorry for having no smpathy for them and no one should. If they can't handle it get out. It's that simple.

I really don't have much to say about Bill O'Idiot's column in the Los Angeles Daily News because he covered what I posted about Thomas Sowell the other day. I guess he doesn't have an original thought so he has to steal others.

I've never been so glad to be so wrong in my life. My beloved Bruins embarassed the overrated Trojans. That defense was unbelievable and my hats off to the team that did the unthinkable. Congrats that was well-earned.

I'm worried

Believe it or not I worry about Bill O'Idiot. He's so busy worrying about what stores and companies think about the holliday's (nevermind there are 3 major ones at the same time) he refused to do backround checks on whether it's true or not.

For instance (thanks to mediamaters) he went on this rant:

O'REILLY: It's a bunch of people who are running around and they're angry, but they've got no direction for the anger. And there are so many insane things that, everyday, I come into work and I say to myself, "How can this be happening?"

You know, I have to tell you that I did not want to do Christmas controversy stories this year. You know, we did it last year, we won the war, Wal-Mart and Macy's and all the big stores are saying, "Merry Christmas," and they've stopped ordering their employees not to say it -- most of them. Best Buy and Crate & Barrel are two that still are ordering their people not to say, "Merry Christmas," which is the worst kind of fascism you could possibly have. They have a right to do it but it's just stupid.

But anyway, this season I said to myself, "You know, with all the trouble we have overseas and the war on terror, I really don't want to get into the Christmas thing again." We won it, it was a worthy campaign, but do we have to do it again? And then, I'm confronted with this stuff.

O'REILLY: So, that is the -- that is the end game. Now, you get back to Crate & Barrel and Best Buy, who are ordering their employees, "If you say, 'Merry Christmas,' we will fire you." Now, this is insane, OK? It is, to me, an affront, so I don't shop at those places. I don't want to give them my business, because they annoy me. Nothing more. Nothing more. It's annoying. I don't want to do business with those people. My right. Now, it is their right to tell their employees what they can and cannot say. Unfortunately, private companies can do that. It's their right.

So, it's basically my right -- I'm not going to buy your little barrel or a crate, or I'm not going to Best Buy. I'm going to go someplace that says, "Merry Christmas," because it's the Christmas season. That's why you give gifts. You give gifts because it's Christmastime. The spirit of giving. That's a tradition. Don't acknowledge the tradition, I ain't gonna -- I'm not going to buy it, not going to do it.

O'REILLY: I have to fire somebody. How many people have I fired this year? Philip Nulman, CEO of the Nulman Group and author of the marketing book, Just Say Yes! All right, so you believe that Crate & Barrel and Best Buy and others who order their employees not to say, "Merry Christmas" are smart?


Now first they interviewed the CEO of Crate and Barrel on FOX and you know what he said? He said "It's up to the INDIVIDUAL EMPLOYEE to say Merry Christmas or whatever he or she wishes." Again it's up to the INDIVIDUAL EMPLOYEE. I guess O'Idiot didn't bother to check that. Best Buy I haven't been in but I don't know. So I ask again WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL IF HAPPY HOLLIDAY'S OR MERRY CHRISTMAS is said? I don't think it offends anyone but Bill O'idiot but then again he doesn't live in reality does he?

I'd like to talk about Bill O'Idiot one of my favorite people. The idiot gives me more ammo on my website then anyone else. But this really pisses me off. He said on his show yesterday the term Happy Holliday's is "insulting to christians."

Now I've gone on record saying I really don't care if the greeting is Merry Christmas or Happy Holliday's or whatever that is up to the person saying it but my question is for anyone who would like to respond is how is Happy Holliday's insulting to christians?

If I can get an answer I'd appreciate it.

You know I wonder why they can do this. I read a column in today's Los Angeles Daily News by Thomas Sowell and he is quoting one book and comes to the following conclusion:

Conservatives give more to charity then liberals and liberals make more money then conservatives.

Seriously that's his conclusion based off one book. I wonder unless that book has statistics on EVERY family in America how he say that. There is no way to judge whether conservatives OR liberals spend more on charity and whether conservatives or liberals earn more money. It's impossible to state and I'm sure for every conservative book that states that there is a liberal book that states the same information about liberals.

But a typical right-winger as Sowell is he just uses that book as fact and goes with it and doesn't do any research.

WHY??

So I see Bill Frist (R) is not going to run for President in 2008. I wonder why? Could it be the fact he in part cost the Republicans the Senate? Could it be his, like all Senate Republicans obsession with the Terry Schaivo case which was none of their business? It could be so many things I don't know where to begin.

I'm a little confused about a letter in today's Los Angeles Daily News. Here it is from the paper today from thier website:

"The Jewish community can stop vilifying Mel Gibson. All they have to do is look in their own backyard and find Michael Richards. My god, at least Mel Gibson had an excuse. He was drunk. What's Richards' excuse? Richards' three-minute racist diatribe personally offended me as an African-American beyond comprehension.

I don't care how many black leaders he plans to meet with or how many times he apologizes. He will never ever be forgiven or redeemed in my book. Also, various news reports claim that Richards is seeking psychiatric help for his anger and racist outburst. What an excuse of convenience. Since when is being a racist a psychiatric problem? "

So according to the letter writer because Mel Gibson was drunk, even though alcohol enhances your personality, it was ok for him to say what he said. That's ok with the person. But Michael Richards (I don't even know if he is Jewish and there are reports he did a simular attack on Jewish people at the improv in Brea) is Jewish according to the letter writer he's just giving excuses.

Mel Gibson, blaming the alcohol checked into rehab if I recall but that's not the point.

First I'm Jewish. I'm offended by both and I pray NEITHER make another penny in the entertainment industry. I've said this many times there is NO ROOM for racism in this world and people, including the letter writer, need to grow the hell up.

Poor Bill O'Idiot. He and his ilk must be so upset over the Democrats taking the House and Senate he doesn't know what to do. His column in the Los Angeles Daily News is so much more incoharent then usual I don't know how to begin.

First I know he's upset that Nancy Pelosi is in charge of the House. This is a man who once endorsed Al Queda to blow up the Coit Tower in San Francisco (If you look in my archives it's there) so naturally he is I feel jealous of the beauty in San Francisco. Great city. But he goes on a rant about how the board of education voted to ban the JRROTC in schools there. My observation is this: If it is within their rights to do so it's their right. If they are breaking the law then the appropriate steps should be taken against them. But that is an issue that doesn't involve Mr. O'Idiot.

Then he is upset at Massachusets because they allow Gay Marriage. I know he's homophobic (like MOST Republicans and some Democrats) but again he is not making sense. He singles out the judges but if he ever did research (yeah right we know he makes it up as he goes along) the judges were assigned by Gov. Rommey who is a REPUBLICAN! I love the irony there.

They he is upset at Vermont. He claims the state is "Secular progressive" because they elected a Senator Bernie Sanders an Independent. He is also upset at a judge who gave a guy who was accused of being a child predator (nevermind he doesn't give any information on the case so we can look it up). So in otherwords we don't even know if this case exists after all it's Bill O'Idiot. Who doesn't know which end is up.

And here is his closing statement: No tolerance for the military, no voting on controversial issues. Welcome to the land of the secular-progressive. Have a nice day.

Now let's take a look at something that Bill O'Idiot is not familliar with and that's something called reality. There is really one issue that he mentions that is "progressive" and that is gay-rights. Other then that that's something the cities and states are doing on their own. Isn't that one of what WAS Republican talking points at least at one time? States rights? I guess only when it's convenient for them.

I'm Thankful that my 10 (soon to be 11) year old niece Megan is in remission from cancer. To see what she went through this year has been rough on all of us and the fact that it's gone hopefully forever, words can't describe the feeling I have.

I'm thankful for my friends. So many to mention and I know I will forget a few. But here we go. Robert, Ken, Bob, Bryan, Brian, Steve, Zeke, Lisa, Chris, Erika, Mark, Elysse, Rob, Bernie, Ben, Eric R, Tracy, Karmen, Candice, Jade, Dave, Tawny and everyone who I am forgetting at this time. You all have no idea how sane you've kept me during this year and believe me I will not forget that.

My mom and dad. I don't mention them much but the fact that they even put up with me makes me forever thankful.

I am also thankful for you. My readers. You input more responses this year then last and whether you agreed with me or not we had spirited discussions and the conversation continued.

On the Today Show Denise Brown, sister of the person OJ Simpson killed Nicole Brown, said that Newscorp, Parent company of Fox News, offered the Brown family "millions of dollars, no strings attached" to shut up about the book that they cancelled by the murderer called "If I did it."

Good ol' Fox. You can count on them for nothing but slime. It starts with Fox News and goes all the way down to the network.

So the town of Pahrump, Nevada, population of 30,000 and perhaps most famous of being the former home of late night talk show host Art Bell decided to ban the flying of all foreign (non U.S.) flags.

This is very wrong. I may not be a fan of immigration but we should respect the right to fly flags of whatever nation people are from. Would there be outrage here if another country said we couldn't wave flags from the United States? Of course there would be. There should be equal outrage directed toward Pahrump.

This again is wrong and not a way to solve any problems. And if the person is upset at immigration issues the problem should be directed toward the people who hire them.

A Correction

Yesterday I commented what a bad idea the draft is. I said the idea was from Chuck Hagel who I put was a Democrat from New York. I was wrong. Chuck Hagel is a moderate Republican from Nebraska. The person with the bad idea was Democrat Chuck Rangel of New York. For that error I apologize.

No Plan

You know we keep hearing that "Bush has a plan" for Iraq. At Americablog they have the following Bush quote: ""I haven't made any decisions about troop increases or troop decreases, and won't until I hear from a variety of sources,"

So doesn't that admit Bush has NO IDEA what the hell he's doing in Iraq? Good job MORON!

Just wondering

So if the Republicans are the "party of values" why are their three leading Presidential Candidates (Guliani, McCain, Gingrich) for 2008 known for having affairs?

Is that their definition of values??

And if anyone says what they did in their private lives is no ones business remember what they got President Clinton for which was having an affair. So it's everyone's business.

Career Killer

One of the things I've always felt I am on my website, right or wrong, is I've been consistant in my views. You will see me attack Democrats if I feel they are doing something wrong (see last post) as equally as Republicans.

I don't know what former Seinfeld star Michael Richards political views are but something he said WHILE APPEARING at the Laugh Factory were incredibly disturbing. After someone heckled him he went into a racial tirade. If you go to http://www.tmz.com/2006/11/20/kramers-racist-tirade-caught-on-tape they have the video.

I've said this many times there is no room for people like him in the world. The world needs to be accepting of people of all people no matter what their skin color is. I know it will never happen but it's gotta start somewhere. And it has to start with the end of the career of people like him.

By the way I saw where Chuck Hagel (D) of New York wants to reinstate the draft. While I understand his resoning (he said would Bush start a war where his kids might be drafted) that's still a bad idea. I hope the idea ends with him.

Some Advice

So yesterday I bashed Bill O'Idiot for hyping up his networks upcoming interview with double-murderer OJ Simpson. I hear calls of boycotting the stores that carry the book but I have I think a better idea:

A) Don't watch the interview so the ratings suck

B) Don't buy the book.

The best way to hurt companies like Fox and the bookstores that carry them and hurting their pocketbook. But that's my view.

Bill O'Idiot broke the law today. As far as I know listing the names of doctors who perform abortions is a violation of the law in Kansas where this one is and I do know he is being investigated by the Kansas Attorney General and I hope they throw the book at the son of a bitch.

You see it's like this. Since O'Idiot is a lapdog for the right-wing he is against abortion. That's fine we all have the right to our own views and I disagree with his point of view (I know you are all shocked). But to add the insult in today's Los Angeles Daily News he lists the name of a doctor that performs abortion like that's anyones business. It isn't. What a woman chooses to do with her body is nobody's business either. But that doesn't stop O'Idiot from breaking the law and blaming everyone but himself in the same article. This guy is sick.

I wanna be the first to call John McCain for what he is. A flip-flopper. Now are the first two as many more will come.

That's what Pat Robertson said on the 700 Club. Here is a viewer question then his response:

So since I am not a Christian according to him I'm a demon. I guess that means I'm going to hell (knew that already) but as far as he is concerned when is he going to be investigated by the IRS? He is a big Bush supporter.

Only in America. Chad Castagana, the man who sent threatening emails to liberal pundits like Keith Olbermann and others, the man who admittedly said he follows such people like Ann Coulter (who said we should do that) was released on Bond.

I wonder what would happen if the letters containing the white powder were sent to say Rush Limbaugh if he would be released on bond?

By the way remember the Anthrax attacks on liberals such as Tom Brokov what ever happened to that investigation. Oh yeah nothing since the attacks was on allegedly liberal people.

For a second I was going to shock myself and agree with Bill O'Idiot when he attacked his network for airing an interview with double-murderer OJ Simpson. Then he did like he always does and lie about obvious facts. He said that Fox News doesn't have anything to do with the networks which is a lie because they have the same owner, Rupert Murdoch and the same chairman Roger Ailes. That's lie number 1.

Lie number 2 is he is actually blaming "far left loons" and "kool aid zombies" for having the nerve to question Fox for airing the interview.

So what is it O'Idiot? Is Fox the problem or are you the problem. You are willingly giving the interview the hype IT DOESN'T DESERVE! You are AIDING A DOUBLE MURDER GET MONEY HE DOESN'T DESERVE!

How can you live with yourself you freak. That's why he's number 1 on my enemies list.

On the other foot

So I was wondering what it's going to be like when Democrats take control and when the Republicans have no say like Democrats did when they had power. I stumbled on this quote (from Americablog) from new GOP Senate Leader Mitch McConnell: "Democrats want our cooperation, they'll give the president's judicial nominees an up-or-down vote,"

So I have this one comment: Why? If Bush has good nominees then he or she should be passed without a problem. If Bush just wants cronies then there will be no vote. And isn't it funny how when Clinton was President and the Republicans wouldn't even bring to a vote many of his nominees?

Again Republicans welcome to the shoe is now on the other foot. Enjoy how you are treated cause you now know how it feels.

A Couple of Predictions

Michigan over Ohio State
USC Over Cal

Ohio State hasn't played anyone good this year except Texas while Michigan has played a tougher schedule. USC has momentum after their loss and should beat Cal easily I think.

Even More Racism

Proving my point even more on how the right-wingers are racist is CNN host Glen Beck. That's right CNN. He interviewed the frist MUSLIM-AMERICAN, a Deomcrat, named Keith Ellision and the following exchange took place:(the video is availible at meidamaters)

What the hell kind of racist DUMBASS statement is that? People like this complete moron is EXACTLY what's wrong with our country. But he was on a roll yesterday. Here is what he had to say about healthcare proposed by Hillary Clinton:

First according to study's we are toward the bottom OF THE WORLD in terms of our heathcare. So there goes that theory. It's funny how they don't say check the facts out. But again racism and stupidity go hand in hand all the time don't they?

Fair and Balanced??

So for years FoxNews claims they are "Fair and Balanced" and I've been saying since the beginning that's BS. So The Huffington Post has a memo that states the following: "Be On The Lookout For Any Statements From The Iraqi Insurgents...Thrilled At The Prospect Of A Dem Controlled Congress"

That shows obviously FoxNews is not "fair and balanced" but, like CNN, MSNBC and every other channel spokespeople for the Republican Party. Say goodnight losers.

What?

So I am reading Thomas Sowell's column in today's Los Angeles Daily News and he issues the following statement: "Some of the most baffling emails received before the election were from conservative Republicans who said they were so disillusioned and/or disgusted with the Bush Administration that they were going to vote for Democrats in order to send a message."

Then "Sending a message may have it's benefits,but, as with all benefits the question must be asked: At what cost?"

It seems to me the cost is this: Democrats are now in control of the House and Senate. That is no cost but a benefit. You see voters see a record deficit, a war where now 3109 troops were killed that Republicans started, a failed response with Katrina, corruption, and so many other screw-ups where the voters said they had enough of the stupidity that is the Republican Party.

Now it's up to Democrats to show something that the Republicans have not and that's maturity. Time will tell if they do.

I see Trent Lott, who said "The United States would have avoided all these problems if Storm Thurmond (then a segregationist) would have been elected" is the Senate Minority Whip.

You see it's stupid ass statements like these and so many others I've listed makes me say that the right-wing is racist. Again that's more proof and it continuously ads up. And he is another leader in the Repubican Party!

Wrong Blame

So last night on Fox former President George H.W. Bush said the following about the current political climate "gotten so adversarial that it’s ugly." and “It’s probably a little worse now given electronic media and the bloggers and all these kinds of things."


I wonder if it's as well due to right-wing radio and news? The fact that Democrats are accused every day of things like helping terrorists? Think that has something to do with it Bush?? I think it does.

Shocking

This may or may not shock you but I'm going to agree with part of Rich Lowry's column in today's Los Angeles Daily News at least to a point.

He says "Republicans should have forced Tom DeLay, Bob Ney, and Conrad Burns to step aside expeditiously."

While that may or may not have made a difference in the election, I think the Republicans were hurt because they were too stubborn in supporting their friends instead of doing what the people demanded which was action. The Republicans claim they are the party of values and that showed that they were the party of special interest and I think that cost them a lot of votes.

More stupidity

The right is pretty stupid. Here is more proof: There was a letter in today's Los Angeles Daily News saying since the democrats won the election the terrorists won. I wonder where idiots get those ideas other then from the stupid right-wing talking points. I think some reminders need to be given:

Who was in charge when the worst terrorist attack happened? The Republicans. Who instead of going after the person responsible for 9/11 decided to invade a country that had nothing to do with 9/11?? The Republicans. And to even go farther back who left lebanon after the Marine base was attacked in the 80's? Ronald Reagan a Republican.

So who is the real cut and runners? That is the Republican Party.

Bush is so dillusional. Here is a quote yesterday:

Bush is so sick and demented he needs help. There IS NO GOOD from the invasion and occupation we have in Iraq. NO GOOD AT ALL. You wonder why I want Bush to be charged with war crimes.

I think a reminder is in order here. First gas prices rose under the REPUBLICAN party. Not Democrat. So if anyone is to blame it IS the REPUBLICAN party. So that question should be directed toward Bush and not the Democratic party.

Not Yet

So there are still 8 races undesided for Congress. While really it doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things it's still interesting to see how many more seats to be picked up. Or not for that matter.

I wonder as well if they will have a typical right-wing double standard where they hold up the election results. I hope not but I know better.

Breaking News

In an effort to steal headlines away from the Democrats taking the House it appears that Donald Rumsfeld will be resigning. While of course that's great news it's an obvious ploy by Republicans. The only way this will be made right is if he's charged with war crimes and genocide which is what he created. For that matter so should Bush and Chenney and Rice.

A HUGE night

Looks like we got the House and are in very good shape in the Senate with the race coming down to Virginia. I guess both sides are sending lawyers, guns and money down there for the Webb-Allen race.

Congrats to all Democrats who won and to the Republicans leaving don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Making it up

I guess the conservative cable news networks can make up information as they go along. I see polls at dailykos.com and they appear accurate but it seems every time I've seen all the cable news networks (CNN,MSNBC,Fox) they show the Republicans winning everything. I guess they make up the info as they go along.

Is It Worth It

So here's my question: Was the conviction and death sentence to Saddam Hussein worth it? Here is the cost so he could be tried and convicted of killing 128 of his own citizens with weapons we gave him:

2800 + American troops dead
Unknown amount of wounded
300,000 + Iraqi's Dead at our hands (Significantly higher wouldn't you say then what Saddam did)
$400,000,000,000 cost to taxpayers

So according to my count we did more damage then Saddam ever did. Who is the real bad guy here?

What we have here is this: The Pastor at a "megachurch" in Colorado,President of the National Association of Evangelicals, The Rev. Ted Haggard resigned due to allegations of homosexual affairs. What makes this a story is a couple of things:

A) He is not being investigated by the IRS

B) He is a close advisor to Bush and calls the White House every Monday

So again the lesson is you can be a hypocrite as long as you are in favor of Bush.

With all the mis-information about Sen. John Kerry's botched joke about Bush I'm just wondering does anyone remember a couple of years ago at I believe it was the Correspondants dinner where Bush mocked the troops by faking looking for the weapons of mass destruction at the dinner? I sure do. And of course no one was upset about that were they?

Sad News

I do have some sad news to report. The fifth firefighter was killed in last weeks Esperanza fire here in Southern California. His name was Pablo Cerda. He was 23 years old. He, long with Capt. Mark Loutzenhiser, Firefighter Jason McKay, Engine Operator Jess McLean, and Daniel Hoover-Najera were all killed by the bastard who set this fire.

There has been an arrest made with a person who was charged with two other arson fires in the area. He is a "person of interest" in this tragedy.

Questions

I have a question with all the crap I'm taking for telling the truth:

If I am irresponsible for listing the names of the soldiers who have passed in Iraq is it EQUALLY irresponsible for the Republicans to involk 9/11 for their own gain as they do? I would like an answer on that please.

An Apology

I will have a few open questions in a bit but first I wanted to shoot from the hip here for a second. I would like to apologize if I offended anyone when I listed the names of the fallen in Iraq. That is not my intend I just feel they should never be forgotten. No more no less. So again if I offended anyone I do sincerely apologize and will remember this if I think about doing this again.

Faux News

No this is not a typo. Faux News is the "news" station that just makes things up as they go along. For example EVERY poll I've seen regarding the Maryland Senate Race has the Democrat, Carden, leading the Republican, Steele by at least 10 points. That didn't stop Faux for claiming Steele is leading Carden by 10 points this morning at 6:30 am pst.
