What to do with Joe

So the question of the day is what to do with Joe Lieberman. To me loyalty means a lot. Lieberman showed he was not a loyal Democrat by campaigning for more of the same McCain and he should pay the price unless he comes out saying he was wrong. Otherwise he should be stripped of his committee chair and let him, since he appears to be one anyway, caucus with the Republicans. I know Democrats who feel differently but he made his choice and he needs to live with the consequences of that choice. If nothing happens to him what's to stop others from either party from doing the same??

Still Waiting

Still Waiting for Lindsey Graham to live up to his promise of drowning himself if President-Elect won North Carolina. What a shock a Republican who doesn't live up to expectations.

What about Sarah

So the question is what are the Republicans going to do with out of touch Sarah Palin. We know she wants to run as President in 2012 but I have a hunch the following will occur:

With the Alaskans dumb enough to re-elect a convicted criminal (more on that in a second) like Ted Stevens she will appoint herself Senator. Then she will run for President again.

I would LOVE Congress and the Senate to pass the following rule change: If you are indicted on any charge you immediately have to resign and give up your benefits from being a Senator or Congressman. That doesn't mean if you are found not guilty you can't run again but that's where a lot of corruption occurs.

Change

Congrats America you chose wisely. Barrack Obama is the new President as you all know. He is going to be such a nice change from Bush and the deceptive administration in history.

First a couple of suggestions for Republicans if they want to regain any seats or have any shot at President in 2012:

A) Apply the 50 state strategy as Obama did. It obviously works as you see how many states Obama turned from Bush.

B) Try to become more diverse. The fact is if you looked at the Grand Old Party you saw one of the three. Old. And they were pretty much all White. There were nothing but old people who ran for the White House and while of course McCain's Vice Presidential Candidate is 44 and will probably run in 2012 the rest of the party needs to change. There are African American, Latino Republicans out there and they feel left out and they should be included if Republicans want any chance at winning again.

C) The negative ads and campaigning don't work. It was disgusting to watch and I'm sure it cost many votes for McCain. Stick with the issues that show how you differ from Democrats.

That's how Republicans can return but of course you won't.

One thing that was a mood-killer was showing how California allowed discrimination by passing prop 8. Hopefully they will get that overturned when it's sued in court.

Congrats again to President-Elect Obama. Now the work begins.

Remember

Remember to vote today. It's the most patriotic thing you can do. Whether you vote for McCain or Obama just vote.

I will try to give updates as often if I can as possible.

Prediction: Dems will end up with 58 seats in the Senate withe Lieberman finally switching to the Republican party which he has been all along.

The races I'm most intersted in: Franken in Mn, Dole in North Caroline and Stevens in Alaska.

And of course here in CA. I ask again to vote no on prop 8

101 Reasons

The Bill Press Show (http://www.billpressshow.com) has been running a list of 10 reasons not to vote for more of the same McCain. Here is the full list:

#1: Voting against John McCain means you get to vote for Barack Obama. Visit his website for more information!

#2: John McCain won't release records of a possibly serious car crash.
The senator is covering up for a possibly deadly car crash. We don't know any facts about it, because there are no released records. How honest is that?

#3: John McCain is a grumpy old man.
He whines, complains and groans like an old man on a porch, just a little too much for us.

#4: John McCain has let his campaign spiral out of control.
With Sarah Palin going rogue, and several Republicans preparing to meet on how to save the Republican party...do you want someone running the country who can't even run their own campaign?

#5: John McCain believes there is a vast 'left wing conspiracy.'
He warns against a Obama/Reid/Pelosi agenda...when it is CLEAR AS DAY that America is hungry for Change!

#6: John McCain has flipped flopped 44 times.
The old 'he was for it before he was against it' and vice versa...so much back and forth.

#7: John McCain is delusional when it comes to the latest polls.
He is down in so many polls in different states, but he says the polls are not accurate. Is this a type of analyzer you'd want as President?

#8: John McCain wants it both ways.
While he voted with George Bush 95% of the time, he then came out slamming Bush's policies as a campaign tactic - policies he used to agree with.

#9: John McCain allowed the RNC to spend $150,000 on Sarah Palin's wardrobe.
Millions of Americans are in danger of losing their homes, and many spend less than that on a home...it shows they're elitists, and shows bad judgement.

#10: John McCain’s reputation is built on opposing torture, but he voted against a bill to ban waterboarding.
He also applauded President Bush for vetoing that ban. Just another flip flop.

#11: John McCain is distorting Barack Obama's tax plan.
It's another smear: He's calling Obama a socialist. Obama's tax plan actually gives tax cuts to Americans earning less than $250,000 a year.

#12: John McCain is using robo-calls with lies to scare swing state voters - the same types of calls he condemned back in 2000.
He said the calls in 2000 were 'dramatically different.'

#13: John McCain is not an advocate for children.
The Children’s Defense Fund rated McCain as the worst Senator in Congress for children. He voted against the Children’s health care bill last year, and defended Bush’s veto of the bill.

#14: John McCain hired someone who lobbied for Saddam Hussein.
Especially when he says he doesn't like lobbyists, AND accuses Obama of palling around with terrorists, he puts Bill Timmons so high up in his campaign, as his Transition Manager?

#15: John McCain is injecting a bogus issue into the campaign: ACORN.
Barack Obama once worked with the Department of Justice and ACORN, but McCain's accusations of Barack Obama attempting to commit voter fraud are baseless.

#16: John McCain opposes having women register for Selective Service.
Barack Obama believes in equality and thinks women should be afforded all the opportunities and responsibilities that men do.

#17: John McCain refuses to repudiate and condemn the Chairman of the Virginia Republican Party.
Jeff Frederick compared Barack Obama to Osama Bin Laden. McCain said he 'didn't know the context' of the comments.

#18: John McCain has a bad temper that is not acceptable for a President.
It's known around the Senate as the "McCain Rage."

#19: John McCain is trying to paint Barack Obama as a terrorist.
He said nothing at a rally when his supporters called Obama a terrorist, and said "kill him." In fact, in February, he said he would not allow these negative attacks to come from his surrogates, when Bill Cunningham viciously attacked Obama.

#20: John McCain called Barack Obama "that one."
It was during the 2nd debate that he made this condescending remark.

#21: John McCain will raise your taxes for his health care plan.
He will raise your income taxes on the $5000 health care tax credit he's offering, which in turn, will also cause your employer to stop offering coverage.

#22: John McCain accused Barack Obama of lying.
That's just about as low as you can get in politics, especially when it's not true.

#23: John McCain wants to destroy health insurance for non-elderly Americans.
He plans to eliminate tax breaks for employer-provided health insurance, which would cause 20 million Americans to lose their coverage.

#24: John McCain originally voted against supporting the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.
It wasn't until he had presidential ambitions that he supported it.

#25: John McCain's tax plan helps the rich.
He is only looking out for himself because he and wife Cindy would save $373,429 if his tax plan were enacted.

#26: John McCain has a gambling problem.
He freely throws around chips at the table and has done it for years...he'll probably do some gambling in the government if he were to be elected!

#27: John McCain tried to blame Barack Obama for the financial crisis and the bailout failure.
Actually, plenty of his own GOP friends voted to can the bill!

#28: John McCain showed a poor performance in the first one-on-one debate.
He was mean and never looked Barack Obama in the eye, not to mention having poor answers to questions.

#29: John McCain grandstanded during the financial crisis.
He played the card going into Washington like "Arizona Jones" to save everything...yet he's got nothing to do with the crisis, which may be a major part of the reason why the bailout fell apart.

#30: John McCain can't the handle the pressure.
He suspended his own campaign when he fell behind in the polls and the going got tough - will he just suspend the presidency if he gets in a tough spot?

#31: John McCain is two-faced when it comes to lobbyists.
He attacks Barack Obama for having ties to lobbyists. McCain's own campaign manager, Rick Davis, is a lobbyist - he was paid by Freddie Mac through August of this year!!!

#32: John McCain wants to deregulate the health insurance industry like they deregulated Wall Street.
He is against universal health care, which would give health insurance companies much more power than they already have.

#33: John McCain thinks he has oversight over the SEC.
He said he would fire the SEC Chair...but he can't constitutionally do that.

#34: John McCain Knows Nothing About Spain.
In an interview, McCain clearly didn't recognize the name of Zapatero, the Prime Minister of Spain. He also said Spain is in our hemisphere, and referred to "our friends in Central America."

#35: John McCain Flip Flopped on AIG.
John McCain was AGAINST the bailout of AIG BEFORE he was against it. After publicly saying that he didn't think AIG should be bailed out, less than 24 hours later, he called it a good decision.

#36: John McCain helped create the economic mess we're in.
By backing de-regulation for so many years and fighting for big corporations, John McCain helped destroy the American economy.

#37: John McCain claims to be an agent of change.
Barack Obama has been running as the "Change" candidate for almost 2 years. McCain has been in Washington politics for 26 years. How can McCain claim to be a change agent??

#38: John McCain voted against raising the minimum wage 19 times.
While this last time around he did vote yes, why did he make the mistake of not helping working families 19 times?

#39: John McCain is calling a remark offensive - a remark which he once used himself.
McCain used the "Lipstick" line - which has been used for years, Obama said nothing new - against Hillary Clinton during the primary race.

#40: John McCain's running mate ripped off her taxpayers for personal gain.
Sarah Palin billed the state of Alaska for 312 nights spent in her own home, for travel and meals.

#41: John McCain showed poor judgement in his running mate choice.
Sarah Palin does not have the qualifications to be Vice President of the United States.

#42: John McCain doesn't know how many houses he owns.
He is so out of it, he can't count how many houses he owns...does he belong in the White House?

#43: John McCain is an elitist with 10 homes.
He is out of touch with the American people because of his wealth, yet he attacks Obama for being elitist?

#44: John McCain cheats in church!
He KNEW the questions going into the Saddleback forum with Pastor Rick Warren - and was not in a cone of silence. If he cheats on that...would you want him as President?

#45: John McCain would gut Social Security as President.
His plan includes a higher retirement age, and he would cut benefits to moderate and higher income earners, plus, he would like to privatize Social Security as well.

#46: John McCain is in bed with Ralph Reed.
McCain is scheduled to attend a fundraiser with the Abramoff-scandal-involved man, and is ignoring calls to cancel his appearance.

#47: John McCain supported an extra tax on Tobacco before he opposed it.
He is now against a $1.10 tax that is aimed at cutting down on smoking.

#48: John McCain continues to lie to slam Barack Obama.
In a new ad out on August 8, he says Obama would raise taxes on anyone making over $42,000 a year - not true.

#49: John McCain is against giving proper health care to our nation's veterans.
In 2006, he voted against a bill that would give $20 million to the VA for health care facilities. He also voted against a bill that would increase Veterans medical services funding by $1.5 billion.

#50: John McCain mocks energy conservation.
Barack Obama worked hard highlighting little things like properly inflating tires to help conserve energy, and McCain made fun of it.

#51: John McCain thinks we are better off now than we were eight years ago.
Yes, his latest ad contradicts that, but in the Republican debate in January 2008, he said we were better off now than we were eight years ago. Fact is, inflation and unemployment rates are up.

#52: John McCain is in the pocket of big oil.
He has accepted over $2 million in contributions from big oil companies, and has offered tax breaks to them as well. Barack Obama highlights these bad ideas in a TV ad.

#53: John McCain opposes the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA).
This plan would make it easier for American workers to decide if they wanted to unionize at their workplace, and McCain doesn't support giving them that right.

#54: John McCain played the race card.
His ad featuring Paris Hilton and Britney Spears injected race into the campaign.

#55: John McCain promised a clean campaign, based on the issues - but has not stayed that course.
He has started running negative attack ads, after saying he had respect for Barack Obama.

#56: John McCain flip-flopped on taxes.
He once said he'd never raise taxes. Now - he's open to raising Social Security taxes.

#57: John McCain flip-flopped on affirmative action.
He used support it...now he changed into the wrong direction and supports a measure on the ballot in AZ to end the policy.

#58: John McCain is two-faced on lobbyists.
He has constantly said he wants nothing to do with 'big-moneyed special interests'...but he has taken in $181,000 in donations from lobbyists.

#59: John McCain's priorities for health insurance companies are flawed.
He is all for them covering Viagra, but not birth control.

#60: John McCain is still fixated on the 'surge.'
He doesn't get that the surge is over - he believes it's still going on.

#61: John McCain isn't fit to be commander in chief.
He lost five Navy aircraft during his flying career.

#62: John McCain needs a geography lesson.
He brags he's been to Iraq so many times, but he said Iraq borders Pakistan. Look at a map, John....there's a little country called Iran in between.

#63: John McCain supports the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy in the military.
He believes the anti-gay policy is working.

#64: John McCain has slammed Obama for only attending one Afghanistan hearing...but McCain's even more guilty!
The Arizona Senator has not attended any committee hearings on Afghanistan.

#65: John McCain says the war in Iraq is not related to the war in Afghanistan.
Barack Obama pointed out that the Senator from Arizona is dead wrong.

#66: John McCain's top economic advisor thinks the poor economy is just a 'mental recession.'
Phil Gramm called America a 'nation of whiners.'

#67: John McCain's Gas Tax Holiday is a joke.
Virtually every economist has shot down McCain's idea of a gas tax holiday. It just won't work!

#68: John McCain flip-flops on immigration.
First he applauded a clear route to citizenship, now he's changed to a "fences-first" stance.

#69: John McCain gives us double-talk on Iraq.
He says on the one hand, we gotta keep it going with no timetable. Then, more recently, he says we'll balance the budget by winning the war in Iraq and getting the troops home.

#70: John McCain represents the third term of Karl Rove.
Steve Schmidt is the latest person to be at the top of the campaign - another name involved with McCain who worked closely with Karl Rove.

#71: John McCain is taking money from Swift Boat veterans.
In 2004, he called them dishonest and dishonorable.

#72: John McCain flip-flopped on swiftboat veterans.
In 2004, he condemned the swiftboat veterans, now, he endorses them, with Bud Day back on the scene.

#73: John McCain is a tax cheater.
Cindy McCain failed to pay property taxes on time - that is not the type of responsibility that we want in the White House.

#74: John McCain is an opponent of helping rail transit.
When he chaired the Senate Commerce Committee, he opposed public financing of Amtrak - a service very important in this day of high fuel prices.

#75: John McCain's healthcare plan would not help Americans.
It would tax your healthcare benefits and leave working families at the mercy of big insurance companies.

#76: John McCain is a fear monger.
Adviser Charlie Black suggested another terrorist attack would help McCain and the Republicans win.

#77: John McCain is more of a game show host than a candidate, offering up gimmick after gimmick.
First it was the gas tax holiday, but now - he wants taxpayers to give $300 million to whoever develops the next new electric battery. Too bad the Japanese are already five years ahead of the US in developing the next generation battery.

#78: John McCain does not have a good environmental record.
The League of Conservation Voters gave him a zero rating when it comes to pro-environment votes.

#79: Cindy McCain criticizes Michelle Obama for not "always" being proud of her country.
Guess what - John McCain said the same thing.

#80: John McCain graduated fifth from the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy.
Out of 899 graduates, he was ranked 894.

#81: John McCain uses scare tactics.
John McCain accuses Barack Obama of having a "September 10" mentality. We've heard this before from George W. Bush. Republicans have NO problem using September 11 for political gain.

#82: John McCain is in favor of offshore drilling for oil.
Of course, this is AFTER he was opposed to it. Drilling for oil off the shores of the United States WON'T ease the gas burden.

#83: John McCain was part of the Keating Five.
John McCain was part of the five Senators who were tied to dirty deal with Charles Keating.

#84: John McCain doesn't support prisoner's rights.
The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of Gitmo detainees. John McCain says that the ruling "concerns" him.

#85: John McCain doesn't care about women's interests.
He wants to overturn Roe v. Wade (among other things) - Planned Parenthood gives him a zero lifetime voting record on women's issues.

#86: John McCain won't repeal George Bush's tax cuts.
This is another issue that he has flip-flopped on, and his plan will continue to put this country into a deeper budget deficit.

#87: John McCain agrees with Bush's illegal wiretapping policy outside of FISA.
At one point he did disagree with Bush on the subject, but he flip-flopped and now supports the President.

#88: John McCain doesn't know anything about the economy.
He himself said he doesn't know as much about it as he should.

#89: John McCain voted with George Bush 89% of the time through his administration.
Just more proof that if he's elected, it's more of the same.

#90: John McCain is a fake campaign finance reformer.
Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) presented this reason during his in-studio visit, and believes McCains back-room dealings need to be exposed.

#91: The Supreme Court.
John McCain himself has said he wants to appoint clones of Alito and Roberts to the high court. With that, Roe v. Wade and other important decisions will go right out the window.

#92: His bad "comb-over," that he won't admit to.
He won't just be honest and admit he's balding - what else won't he be honest about?

#93: John McCain supports the war in Iraq.
He stated he would stay in Iraq for 100 years.

#94: John McCain will be nothing but a third term of George Bush.
He wants to continue the same policies that have failed for the last eight years, as Barack Obama pointed out.

#95: John McCain is too old to run the country.
He'll be 72 this year. Back in 2000, he admitted to PBS's Jim Lehrer he's too old to be President!

#96: John McCain does not support the GI Bill.
He's against giving our veterans full scholarships to college upon returning from service.

#97: John McCain has bad judgment related to the people he cozies up to.
He was endorsed by, and was good friends with John Hagee - it took him three months to reject the endorsement! What other type of people might he get close to when he's president?

#98: John McCain doesn't know Shiite from Shinola.
Even Joe Lieberman corrected him when he mixed up Shiites and Sunnis.

#99: John McCain doesn't want to change anything about our relationship with Cuba.
He is attacking Barack Obama's willingness to meet with Raul Castro.

#100: John McCain will try to stir up war with Iran.
We've seen this with his recent exchange with Barack Obama, saying we shouldn't talk - we should just bomb, bomb, bomb Iran.

#101: John McCain's connection with Lobbyists.
Special Interests, Special Interests. Ouch. The prime connection is Thomas Loeffler - who resigned from McCain's campaign because of his lobbyist connections.

I don't know how many minds this will change but however you vote don't forget to vote tomorrow.

Horror Films

So I figure since Halloween is tomorrow I wanted to list my 5 favorite horror films. Mind you this is my opinion and I'd like to know what anyone else list would be. To me I feel no reason is necessary as the films are scary.

5) Silence of the Lambs.
4) The Omen
3) Dracula
2) Jaws
1) The Exorcist

The Info

So did you see the positive message Obama said last night in his T.V. add? Did you see no attack on insane more of the same McCain? Did you see how McCain has no answers except to do nothing but attack as right-wingers only know how to do? I did. So to sum up:

Obama: Answers, common sense policies, positive campaign

Insane more of the same McCain: No answers, continuation of Bush's failed policies, negative campaign since he has no ideas.

One Prop

I'd like to talk about a measure on the ballot in California and that's prop 8. I've heard so many lies coming from the people who are in favor of that (of course the religious freaks) who are claiming all sorts of nonsense.

What prop 8 will do if passed will abolish same-sex marriages. The crap I heard from the churches who are spending millions includes how the church would lose tax-exempt status (which if it were true I would applaud) and they hope you are just so homophobic enough that you would agree with them.

This IS a civil rights issue. If two people are in love they should be able to marry no matter what the sexual preference is. It's sad that the church (who allowed their priests to sexually molest boys for years) is so against this but what do you expect.

So in this case I urge you to vote no on prop 8.

I love it

ctctI Love the fact that now that Ted Stevens (R, Alaska) is a convicted felon he is not unable to vote in Alaska according to their law. So he can't vote for himself in his own election.

On a more disturbing note I saw where in West Hollywood some loser dressed a dummy up as Sarah Palin and put a noose on her. There is no reason for this behavior and I feel I am consistant and that is not right. He needs to take the display down.

On McCain

I've said this before if anything happens to Obama in terms of an assassination attempt I fully blame insane more of the same McCain and Palin. They have done nothing but encourage violence and have not condoned the threats done made against him in rallies they conducted. Here is another example of the behavior they allow:

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/washingtondc/la-na-plot28-2008oct28,0,2491720.story

Again if anything happens to Obama this is on the Republicans.

Something you should know

My friend Erika sent gave this to me and it's something you should know. If you want to see this for yourself click on my myspace link and on my friends find Erika and click her blog. She lives in Oregon and mailed in her ballot but found instead of the normal stamp she was charged .59 cents. Now if you want to mail in your ballots I suggest you contact your Secretary of State's office and find out for sure.

Birds of a feather

Again even more news about McCain being attached to a criminal.

http://timesonline.typepad.com/uselections/2008/10/keating-law-fir.html

So this is a firm founded by old McCain buddy Charles Keating. Remember the Keating five which McCain will always be attached to cause of his favors he did. Well his firm is still donating money to McCain's campaign.

I'm glad Obama is running a clean campaign cause there is so much stuff he could use.

Did You Know??

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/14/mccain-transition-chief-a_n_134595.html

So with the crap Obama is taking with his phony ties to terrorism (even though he has addressed that on many occasions and he was 8 when the events in question occurred) how about insane more of the same McCains ACTUAL ties to terror. I posted earlier about his ties to a woman who was a delegate at the Republican Convention who bombed an obortion clinic. We also know his friendship to G. Gordon Liddy who has many times advocated if one sees a federal officer to shoot them now we find a key member of his transition team (talk about being presumptuous) lobbyed for the U.N. to have santions eased against Saddam Hussein.

So I ask who has ties to terrorists??

More corruption

On the heels of the damning Troopergate scandal as well as $150,000 for clothes I find this:

http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/21/palin.travel.ap/

It shows how Palin has charged her state of Alaska $21,012 for her kids travel to events where they are not invited to. Think about how ethically wrong that is.

Why Not??

The funny thing (as we have been told we are expecting yet another round of Santa Ana winds) is how people say how weather forecasters shouldn't say when the winds are coming cause people who set fires will know. If have a couple of problems with that:

A) They are saying weather people shouldn't say what the weather is

B) People who set fires will know it's windy anyway when they wake up and see it's windy

C) The fire last week was set by a downed power line and not by hand

D) If there is a problem (and this is with things like high-speed chases as well) is there really is a lack of follow-up by the media on the fires that are set by human hands. We don't know what charges they face we don't really find out what time they get we don't know what eventually happens to these people and in the end that would be the ultimate way to show people how stupid they are if they even think about it.

Who is elite

Remember how John Edwards was called an "elitist" from the right-wing media for paying for a $400 haircut? Where is the equal outcry when the Republican Party spends $150,000 for Palin's clothes??

http://www.411mania.com/politics/columns/88375

Just wondering

Just wondering why when a Republican is arrested with voter fraud it isn't as much news as when Acorn is just accused of it? Example:

http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-fraud20-2008oct20,0,3842357.story

The fact is I shouldn't have to search for stories like that.

Last SNL thought

Maybe I was too rough on Sarah Palin's SNL stint after all Saturday Night Live hasn't been funny for years and maybe that was a continuance of it. Then again Palin has no personality so the mix was there.

two weeks left

Two weeks left before the election. Remember no matter who you are going to vote for make sure you vote. This is a very important election.

Big Endorsement

I see where Barrack Obama got the endorsement of former Sec. of State Powell yesterday. More then any newspaper this is actually a big endorsement considering who he served under and his reasons why. The main one is (even though sane people have been saying that all along) is Sarah Palin is not qualified to be President of the United States.

On a different note I see where Palin was supposed to do several skits on Saturday Night Live last week but pretty much refused to do them. Not a real maverick is she??

Thursday, October 16, 2008

Even one more debate note

One more observation which spoke volumes about insane more of the same McCain. Obama gave McCain a chance to condone the shouts of terrorist, kill him, and treason and not only did McCain not condone those chants but he immediately lied and said that similar chants were heard at Obama rallies. Which if it were true believe me I would be just as upset because that has no business during any political campaign. So that means McCain agrees with the calls to "kill him" and he's a "terrorist" and Obama has committed "treason".

That speaks volumes about McCain.

Two more thoughts on the Debate

I saw this on the replay last night and I'm wondering if this will be talked about or not:

Barrack Obama was wearing a flag lapel pin. Insane more of the same McCain was not. This has been an issue for the right and this is the 2nd debate in a row where McCain hasn't worn his.

I wonder how much McCain really knows about Sarah Palin. Her child DOES NOT have autism as McCain said last night the child has Downs Syndrome and there is a difference. And how can he say that he would spend more for special education when he said he would have a spending freeze?

Sad Ending

The Dodgers season just ended tonight. That was a great run but the Phillies were just a better team. They found ways to win.

This will present an interesting off season for the Dodgers though. They have quite a few free agents but in my opinion here is who they should re-sign:

Rafael Furcal. I know he had a horrible post season but he is still a great shortstop.

Manny Ramirez. Duh. I know he will be expensive but you can't say he doesn't produce.

Derek Lowe. This is a questionable considering his age (sad but I'm older then him) but he's durable and will give you a lot of innings.

Casey Blake. He was solid down the stretch and a leader in the clubhouse.

Now if only they can find a sucker for Andruw Jones (can you say DH) but I do hope they keep Pierre if only for his speed.

So I say bye to Brad Penny and Jeff Kent (not sure who else is a free agent) but DeWitt will be solid and they have the young pitching to replace Penny.

MOre Right Racsim

This is the most disgusting thing to date.

It shows how a restaurant in Arizona who is an African American Obama supporter was vandalized by insane more of the same McCain supporters. This is sad and I am starting to fear more and more for Obama's life cause these nutcases are going to take a shot at him.

Debate Thoughts

Some thoughts and observations on the last debate between McCain and Obama:

McCain had a strong 1st half but in the 2nd half he was getting angry and it was showing.

Obama stayed cool even though McCain was trying to get him upset

McCain kept smirking while Obama was talking and Obama was smiling but listening to every work McCain said.

Ok

Just to any family members to happen on this site the family is ok we are not near the fire (at least yet) while it was dangerously close to my work which was an adventure leaving with the traffic from those being evacuated and the brave heroes of Firefighters and Policemen coming in unfortunately there are homes being destroyed as I type this and my heart goes out to all the people who are effected by this nightmare.

This is his advisor??

Going in our wayback machine (if you know the reference you are good) I'd like to take you back to the Presidential scam ( I mean forum) where insane more of the same McCain was asked who are the wisest people you know. Insane more of the same McCain included Georgia Democrat and Civil Rights leader John Lewis (D, GA) to the shock of everyone cause at the time Lewis said he rarely if at all spoke with insane more of the same McCain.

So this wise man (according to insane more of the same McCain's words) had the following directed toward McCain:

"What I am seeing reminds me too much of another destructive period in American history," Lewis wrote in a statement first posted on Politico's website. "Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are sowing the seeds of hatred and division, and there is no need for this hostility in our political discourse."

"As public figures with the power to influence and persuade, Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are playing with fire, and if they are not careful, that fire will consume us all," the statement continues. "They are playing a very dangerous game that disregards the value of the political process and cheapens our entire democracy. We can do better. The American people deserve better."

What response did insane more of the same McCain have?? :
"Congressman John Lewis' comments represent a character attack against Governor Sarah Palin and me that is shocking and beyond the pale," reads the statement from McCain. "The notion that legitimate criticism of Senator Obama's record and positions could be compared to Governor George Wallace, his segregationist policies and the violence he provoked is unacceptable and has no place in this campaign. I am saddened that John Lewis, a man I've always admired, would make such a brazen and baseless attack on my character and the character of the thousands of hardworking Americans who come to our events to cheer for the kind of reform that will put America on the right track.

First did he see the last week and the hate that he and Palin inspired? Then to blame Obama for the accurate statement Lewis made sure showed more disrespect toward Obama. I'm sorry McCain you are absolutely wrong and you are the reason if anything happens to Obama in the future cause of the hate you inspired.

You are trying to have it both ways as always and that is why you are losing and will lose in 23 or so days.

Rep. Lewis is right on and this is McCain's wise man.

Religion in Politics

I know this is kinda old news but I want to talk about it because to me it's more important then a lot of issues (although I did get my 401K in the mail this week and that was really ugly) but there are preachers who are endorsing insane more of the same McCain and are demanding that they should not lose their tax exempt status because of it.

I think it's wrong. Absolutely wrong. We should in no way shape or form have religion shoved down our throats (mind you I feel the same way for preachers who endorse Obama) and this is the reason why we have separation of church and state. This should NEVER be allowed and as far as I'm concerned if the preachers who endorsed insane more of the same McCain continue to get their way regarding this and not have the IRS come knocking on their door it will lead us down a more dangerous path then we are going already.

Religion as far as I'm concerned is already too involved with with politics especially here in California with the freaks who want to overturn gay marriage. And they feel they are doing "god's work" now I'm sorry but I would feel if there is a god (and let's face it does anyone really know) god would want every race, religion, viewpoint, sexual preference, whatever to have long happy lives without fears thrust upon them by these radical religious jerks? That's what I would think god would want.

So religion has no place in politics period.

You know if you're a Republican IF

A friend sent this to me and it's really accurate:

1. Jesus loves you and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

2. Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's Daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him, and a bad guy when Bush needed a 'we can't find Bin Laden' diversion.

3. Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is Communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.

4. The United States should get out of the United Nations, but our highest national priority should continue to be enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq .

5. A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multinational drug corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

6. The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches, while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.

7. If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.

8. A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our longtime allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

9. Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy, but providing health care to all Americans is socialism. HMO's and insurance companies have the best interests of the public at heart.

10. Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

11. A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense, but a president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.

12. Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.

13. The public has a right to know about Hillary's cattle trades, but George Bush's driving record is none of our business.

14. Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness, and you need our prayers for your recovery.

15. Supporting 'Executive Privilege' for every Republican ever born, who will be born, or who might be born (in perpetuity.)

16. What Bill Clinton did in the 1960's is of vital national interest, but what Bush did in the '80's is irrelevant.

17. Support for hunters who shoot their friends and blame them for wearing orange vests similar to those worn by the quail.

Who's Terrorist Ties??

So with the desperate insane more of the same McCain campaign accusing Obama of having ties to Ayers who did things when he was 8 years and and has changed his life I would like to talk about the Republican Vice President nominee's CURRENT ties to terrorist activities.

Palin's husband IS a member of a group that wants Alaska to secede from the United States. She has spoken as recently as THIS YEAR at their convention telling them to "keep up the good work".

So while Republicans blame Obama for something he had nothing to do with YET with their Vice President Candidate HAS ties to groups nothing is said by the right-wing media.

By the way the last time a state wanted to secede from the United States we had something called the CIVIL WAR you may have heard about.

Inciting Violence

Has anyone heard insane more of the same McCain and Palin's rally's lately? I have. And if anyone tries to attack, hurt in anyway Barrack Obama and/or Joe Biden it is on the Republicans hands. Especially insane more of the same McCain and Palin!

Heard clearly and loudly regarding Barrack Obama when insane more of the same McCain and Palin ask "who is Barrack Obama: "Terrorist" "Treason" "Kill Him"

And the fact that neither one condones those words either at the time or ANYTIME LATER means that they agree with them. And since they are inciting the violence they will be accessories to the violence. And that continues the right thinking it's ok to make threats and that says a lot for who they are.

More Disgusting

I watched the replay of the debate on C-Span last night (I know I need a life) and I noticed three things:

A) After the debate insane more of the same McCain refused to shake Obama's hand afterwords

B) Insane more of the same McCain just left after instead of staying and meeting members of the audience which is standard. I guess he was pissed at his horrible performance.

C) He didn't acknowledge the African-American who asked a question and refused to say her name. I think insane more of the same McCain's showing his true self. And Robert take that as you will but there is a clear pattern.

So to sum it up Obama destroyed insane more of the same McCain in a debate which format was demanded by insane more of the same McCain. That sucking sound is the air coming out of McCain's campaign.

Tuesday, October 07, 2008

He said what?

Hope EVERYONE saw insane more of the same McCain's reaction. He looked straight at Obama and said "that one". That was disgusting and pathetic which represents insane more of the same McCain's campaign.

Monday, October 06, 2008

Pathetic

Really showing how pathetic and desperate Republicans are right now since they are incredibly horrible I present to you Sarah Pallin. Over the weekend here in California she said that Obama "pals around with terrorists".

I think as usual she needs to be taught history on the two threats that were created. Yes created.

Osama Bin Laden: Papi Bush is responsible for his rise to power by giving him arms against Afghanistan.

Saddam Hussein: Ronald Reagan, George Bush (Papi again) Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld are responsible for the exact same reasons. They gave him arms and money.

I think the current administration has so much to do with terrorism then Obama and I have facts on my side

What will it be

Just wondering what the Republicans will attempt at their October surprise this year to try to steal the election. I think I narrowed it down to three possibilities.

A) The capture or death of Bin Laden. Not likely since Bush himself has said he never thinks about him but still that would be their best bet.

B) A phony raise of the terror level. They will, as they always do, claim they have a credible threat (which they don't) and they will try to scare people (as they always try) into submission

C) Start rumors of an affair that Obama never had. The media in its ever willingness to smear will report it whether it's factual or not.

Changing the subject briefly I see O.J. was found guily on all counts last night. I hope the conviction was for this crime and not the one done years ago.

Debate Thoughts

Round 2 observations:

Palin didn't answer questions directly. It was horrible. She was strong but said nothing.

The moderator was horrible. She allowed Palin to stray from topic and the debate was out of control.

Biden was great. He actually answered questions

Palin doesn't even know what the job of the Vice President is. That should be the most telling point because if insane more of the same McCain steals the election (which is the only way he will win) she should know what her role is.

The Latest

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/10/mccain-and-pali.html

The latest attempt to distract people from the issues and the debate tonight shows insane more of the same McCain's camp saying tonight's moderator is not going to be fair for the sole reason she is writing a book on African-American politicians. That's really pathetic and shows of desperation on their parts.

I found it funny how in a speech the other day Palin was actually making fun of Biden's age considering insane more of the same McCain's older then Biden.

While the expectations have been set so low for Palin I think Biden is in the most interesting situation. If he doesn't attack her quotes and policies he'll be labeled as soft and if he does he'll be labeled as sexist. Should be an interesting night.

The usual

I hope you understand this is the usual mo from Republicans.

A) Scare the people. (Bush going on TV saying yet again the sky is falling with the disaster Republicans created on Wall Street with deregulation)

B) Blame. (Even though it's not Democrats fault that doesn't stop Republicans from blaming Democrats. Insane more of the same McCain blamed Obama. House Republicans blamed Pelosi for telling the truth about who's is clearly to blame which is Bush and the Republicans.

C) Offer no solutions. I haven't heard any solutions by Republicans in the house or senate. None. They don't have a plan. They have no ideas at all.

Remember that next month.

Who's Fault??

For the record I agree with everyone who votes against spending $700 billion of our taxpayer dollars but I would like to talk about insane more of the same McCain for a moment. It was Republicans who voted against this disaster waiting to happen but that doesn't stop the moron from putting the blame on Obama and Pelosi who support this plan. Nevermind it was insane more of the same McCain who is in a big part responsible for this mess to begin with.

The truth

A few of quick things. Just wondering if the whole more of the same McCain and Bush getting Obama back to Washington for the financial mess that more of the same McCain was done to distract Obama from his debate preparations. Honestly neither one of them needed to be there and more of the same McCain has been absent from the Senate pretty much completely this year due to his campaining.

Goodbye to Yankee and Shea stadiums. I've been to both, Dodgers Stadium is 9 billion times better although my one trip to Yankee gave me the greatest thrill ever going to David Wells perfect game. Hard to believe Dodgers Stadium (and someone can correct me if I'm wrong on this) is like the 2nd or 3rd oldest stadium now which is a scary thought.

Last I found this on the Bill Press Show website and it is so true and how Obama is being treated vs more of the same McCain and Palin. (http://www.billpressshow.com)

I’m a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight…..

If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you’re ‘exotic, different.’

Grow up in Alaska eating mooseburgers, a quintessential American story.

If your name is Barack you’re a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.

Name your kids Willow, Trig, and Track; you’re a maverick.

Graduate from Harvard law School and you are unstable.

Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you’re well grounded.

If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate’s Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran’s Affairs committees, you don’t have any real leadership experience.

If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city council, 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, and 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you’re qualified to become the country’s second highest ranking executive.

If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you’re not a real Christian.

If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you’re a Christian.

If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.

If, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other option in sex education in your state’s school system while your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant, you’re very responsible.

If your wife is a Harvard graduate laywer who gave up a position in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family’s values don’t represent America’s.

If your husband is nicknamed ‘First Dude’, with at least one DWI conviction and no college education, who didn’t register to vote until age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely admirable.

By the way if you wanna look up something that again proves what hipocrites the right-wing media is look up Bill O'Reilly and Jamie Lynn Spears look at the anger he directs toward her mother and wonder why he isn't equally as angry at Sarah Palin!

Debate Thoughts

Some thoughts on last night's debate:

1) How many more times will more of the same McCain call Obama stupid? (code words naive and he doesn't understand)

2) Both continued to make their talking points and said really nothing new

3) Does more of the same McCain think Obama is so far beneath him that he couldn't address him directly?

4) How come more of the same really broke in when Obama was speaking but wouldn't let Obama do the same?

5) I would not be surprised if Palin all the sudden had an illness to break next weeks debate with Biden cause if you saw her during the Katie Couric interview this week she looked well out of their league and what will happen when someone with experience takes her to task on the things she has wrongly said?

Don't Give In

Error by Obama: He is going to the White House to meet with Bush and more of the same McCain who will use this as a photo op and against Obama.

Error by more of the same McCain: Trying to delay the Presidential debate tomorrow. Like Obama said if you are President you need to handle multiple situations. To sane people it shows how more of the same McCain is not ready and not mentally equipped to be President.

Error #2 by more of the same McCain: Deciding, after being out of Washington for more then a year and missing more votes then Obama, that he needs to go to Washington now. Remember he is a huge cause of this mess.

I hope Obama doesn't give in to more of the same McCain and postpone the debate. If more of the same McCain doesn't show up then it should be a question and answer with Obama. This is nothing but a stunt by more of the same McCain. I hope people realize that. And remember more of the same McCain has nothing to do with the negotiations so he will accomplish nothing.

You know really thinking about it since more of the same McCain wants to postpone the debate to the night of the Vice Presidential debate he just really doesn't want to send out this alleged pitbull with lipstick (her words not mine) to get destroyed by Biden.

Last thought in the idiots speech last night he blamed instead of the banks which gave out loans to people who should not have received them he blamed solely the American people. Remember that come election day.

Trickle Up

Since Republicans have the phony theory of trickle down economics which never works, where tax breaks and advantages for people at the top of the income scale will trickle down to those who are at the bottom, I'd like propose the exact opposite. I'd like to propose trickle up economics. Here is what I mean:

Instead of giving $700 billion of taxpayer dollars to failed industries on Wall Street which we will never see, how about paying off people's mortgages? Here is what that will accomplish:

A) People will pay their debts (which ultimately is a good thing that we wouldn't be as much as a debtor nation).

B) People will save money for there future. People could save for retirements or college for their children and rely less on government programs which would create smaller government.

C) People will spend. That will be the thing that does things like create profits for businesses which in turn creates jobs.

Just my view.

Broken Record

I can predict what Bush is going to say tonight since he is nothing but a broken record and repeats himself over and over again. He is going to say the following: Give me what I want or else. That's what he has said time and time again.

By the way I see where more of the same McCain wants to "postpone" the debate scheduled for Friday and he all of the sudden wants to go to Washington for one of the few times he has been there this year. If I were Obama with all the momentum right now he should tell more of the same McCain no. Remember more of the same McCain is a huge reason (not the whole reason) why we are in this nightmare and I hope Obama reminds people that.

Tuesday, September 23, 2008

Trust Who?

How are we supposed to trust Sec. Paulson when he was CEO of a failing bank himself? Yes he was CEO of Goldman Sachs.

And the top adviser for the more of the same McCain campaign Ricky Davis was a lobbyist for Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac. Bet you didn't know that either.

We should really trust these people?

Monday, September 22, 2008

A couple of questions

Just a couple of questions and observations:

How come you can find $700 billion dollars of taxpayer money to bailout Wall Stree but you can't find a dime for Universal Heathcare?

And also is this yet another reason NEVER to privatize social security cause that would be another disaster waiting to happen?

Why doesn't the bailout of taxpayer dollars do anything to really to help taxpayers?

Looking things up

If you look a few posts down you will see a discussion between Robert and I. I point out how deregulation does not work he wrongly thinks it does buying the phony Republican line how it creates competition when in reality it does not. I point out several industries that were deregulated and how monopolies were created.

One of the industries I said was deregulated was the cable industry. He said it wasn't but to be accurate I looked it up cause if he is right I am man enough to admit it. I found since I looked it up the Telecommunications Act of 1996 which DEREGULATED THE CABLE INDUSTRY.

So Robert my good friend I guess I do know what I'm talking about after all at least in this case as well as every industry that has been deregulated.

How to make a scandal

If you wanna know how to make a scandal out of something that isn't I present Republican Vice President Sarah Palin. You see she was all set to give testimony about "troopergate" where she wanted her ex brother in law fired for divorcing her sister. Simple enough. No she decided to get political and pull out cause the final report was due a little before the election. I wanna bring up two points regarding this:

A) Honestly there is a long history of people getting fired for their boses not liking them for whatever reason whether it's personal or job related. That's fine I honestly don't have a problem with that.

B) By not testifying she is making this more of a scandal then it really is. The committee is not bias it is made of two Democrats and two Republicans. Again she just has to say what happened and that's it.

But as a typical Republican she decides to be decitful. What a loser.

Just wodering

How come the media considers more of the same McCain a maverick when he votes with Bush at least 90% of the time?

How come Obama is considered an elitest when more of the same McCain doesn't even know how many homes he owns?

How come the media doesn't really call more of the same McCain (or Bush for that matter) when he says the economy is fine when anyone with half a brain knows it isn't?

How come Obama is critisized regarding a preacher and a serman he wasn't at BUT Sarah Palin is at a church that preeches hate and more of the same McCain has endorsements from preechers who spread hate and there is no response?

How come no one calls out more of the same McCain for saying how he wanted a clean campaign when he has done nothing but attack AND offer nothing but a continuation of Bush's policies which as we know DON'T WORK!

Now for some non politics:
Has there been a player that has made more of an impact from a mid-season trade then Manny Ramirez has with the Dodgers?

Should he be considered for MVP?

Did UCLA gets their butts whiped on Saturday or what?

DID USC look impresive against Ohio State Saturday or what?

Is the Kansas City Chiefs the worst team in professional Football?

Or is it the Rams?

Is it me or is it really selfish for Kobe Bryant NOT to have the surgery on his finger when if it gets worse in the long run he will hurt the Lakers?

And isn't this his option year of the contract?

Just wondering

Like Father Like Son......

Making a couple of comparisons from papa Bush to current Bush.

Papa Bush: Spent billions of taxpayer dollars to bail out the Savings and Loan Industry (including the current President) with the aid of more of the same John McCain and the Keating 5

Current Bush: Spent billions of taxpayer dollars to bail out the mortgage industry with the aid of more of the same McCain

Papa Bush: Dealt poorly with the destruction of Hurricane Andrew in Florida

Current Bush: Dealt even more poorly with the destruction of Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana

Papa Bush: Attacked Iraq for oil

Current Bush: Attacked Iraq for oil

Stunning simularities huh?

An Add Idea

Here is an add that Obama should make:

Show all the economic failures of George Bush, give Bush quotes saying how the economy is fine then morph him into more of the same McCain who said yesterday "the fundamentals of the economy is strong" and the chief economic advisor for more of the same McCain Phil Graham saying how we are in a "imaginary recession". Then have the announcer say something like "they broke it you can't trust them to fix it"

Just my idea.

Monday, September 15, 2008

Where are they?

So we know about the disasterous train wreck in Chatsworth on Friday (about 1 mile from my work) I hope the reports are false that the engineer was texting some train enthusiasts in the area instead of paying attention to a red light which would have easily prevented this tragedy.

I really thought there were other safeguards in place where something like that would be prevented. Metrolink if the reports are true will get their heads sued off and possibly even be forced to go under if it's true.

Just Remember

Remember the grim anniversary today. 9/11/01. Remember how Bush was told it was going to happen and chose to do nothing. Remember how Republicans have used this to their advantage in every election, how Bush has used PHONY threats to scare people into getting nightmares like the invasion of privacy act and remember how this should be a reason NEVER to vote for a Republican again (remember they were in charge of the country) and remember all those who died so Bush can get his war.

More of the same part 2

Didn't more of the same McCain say at the beginning of the Presidential Race he claimed (which I knew was crap) he was going to run a clean campaign? Well that lasted two seconds. The latest is the UN-NECESSARY UN-WARRENTED attack on Barack Obama when he made an HONEST statement regarding more of the same's economic policy but it turns into a right-wing smear.

The quote that Obama used was "lipstick on a pig" which was used to describe more of the same's ecnomic policy and nothing else. But no the right wing claims how that's an attack on Palin which in complete crap!

Just some facts using google (happy 10th birthday by the way) I found five different times more of the same McCain used THE EXACT SAME TERM in the past year describing Hillary Clinton DIRECTLY but nothing has been said of that regarding more of the same's DIRECT ATTACK on her. I even found the big Dick Cheney using that SAME PHRASE regarding John Kerry's policies. So again since the press is conservative they ignore THOSE FACTS.

And again it shows that more of the same HAS NO ORIGIANL IDEAS so they do the ONLY THING they know how and that is attack. They have no plans for America and no vision of the future like Obama has!

So once again more of the same has to use smear tactics instead of talking issues.

Tuesday, September 09, 2008

More of the same

So Sarah Palin is MORE CORRUPT then more of the same McCain. She has taken money from the oil companies (like McCain) and I will have some more stuff regarding her religion later which is absolutely fair game since the right attacked Obama.

I don't see it

I don't understand why anyone would vote for more of the same McCain. He is the most pathetic candidate I have seen (even more so then Michael Dukakis) he has no original ideas and would continue to head our country on a path of self-destruction that Bush has started us on.

Football Predictions

Since Football snuck up on us (ok I admit I'm concentrating on Baseball and my 1st place Dodgers)
I think it's time for an unscientific Football prediction post. And with this comes my usual disclaimer if you take my prediction seriously (mind you they are usually wrong) this is your responsibility and you are to blame.

AFC East NFC East
New England Dallas
NY Jets NY Giants
Buffalo Philadelphia
Miami Washington

AFC North NFC North
Cleveland Minnesota
Pittsburgh Detroit
Baltimore Green Bay
Cincinnati Chicago

AFC South NFC South
Jacksonville New Orleans
Indianapolis Tampa Bay
Tennessee Carolina
Houston Atlanta

AFC West NFC West
San Diego St. Louis
Denver Arizona
Oakland Seattle
Kansas City San Francisco

Playoffs:
AFC NFC
New England Dallas
Indianapolis NY Giants
Cleveland Philadelphia
Pittsburgh St. Louis
San Diego New Orleans
Jacksonville Tampa Bay

Super Bowl
Jacksonville vs Dallas

Just say it already

One of things I keep hearing from more of the same McCain and the right-wing media is how people can't vote Obama because he is "different". You know I just wish they would say what we all know he means by that and just get it out in the open already. He is saying people shouldn't vote for Obama because he is African-American.

At least if it's out in the open we can have an honest discussion about it and everyone's true feelings will come out.

Another Joke

What a joke a Palin's speech was. I realize Republicans like her, more of the same McCain have no original ideas of their own so they attack Obama's. Obama is the American Dream and is proof how every person has the chance to become President and the fact the Republicans continuously attack his life shows just how jealous and petty they are!

Wednesday, September 03, 2008

Notice

Has anyone noticed something lacking at the Republican Convention. I have. I noticed how lack of African-Americans, lack of Asian-Americans, lack of Mexican-Americans just an overall lack of diversity which is something you had at the Democratic Convention.

So if you want the party of old white guys you vote Republican.

Tuesday, September 02, 2008

Horrible

What a horrible choice from more of the same McCain for Vice President. I understand he is trying to get disgruntled Clinton supporters but if he wanted to pick a strong Republican woman for Vice President why not Sec. Rice or Sen. Snow from Maine or Kay Baily Hutchinson from Texas.

Doesn't that also negate the argument from more of the same McCain about how inexperienced Obama is cause she has even less. I mean come on Los Angeles County has more people then Alaska.

It's already starting with the scandals she already has so she must be a Republican I'm just waiting for a sex scandal involving her since the Republican Party is the party of sex scandals.

Thursday, August 28, 2008

Wow

It's not often I'm moved by a speech. As I said he needed to score and I would say not only did Obama score a touchdown but he made the two point conversion. That was an amazing speech. Bravo.

A big night

What great speeches (words I never thought I'd say ever) from both Hillary and Bill Clinton over the last couple of nights as well as I would like to give special recognition to Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer who complete blew the roof off the Pepsi Center (even though none of the networks covered his speech thank god for C-Span.

I don't know what to expect from tonights speech from Obama. I hope he gets a home run (or a touchdown since it is where the Broncos play) but I wonder if too much is expected from him tonight. I guess we will find out.

Wednesday, August 27, 2008

A good idea

Considering how liberal (and proud of it) I am this view might surprise some people. I see where the LPGA is making it's golfers speak English only on the tour. I have no problem with that. I feel if you are in America you should be expected to know English just like if I were to take a job in Italy (which if more of the same McCain steals the election which is the only way he'll win) I would have to learn Italian. As I said I have no problems with that idea at all.

So they begin

Over the next two weeks we have the Democratic and Republican conventions. You will hear speech upon speech on who people believe will be best to run the country. One question does anyone else find it ironic that the Republican convention starts on Labor Day? After all who has done less for the working man then the Republican Party especially under the current administration.

An Add that should be made

I would love to see this add by Obama (mind you more of the same McCain has already started with these dirty tactics):

All he has to do is continuously play more of the same McCain saying he doesn't know how many houses he owns.

Think about it if he is that out of touch how is he supposed to lead?

And one other add that Obama should play is how more of the same McCain saying how McCain thinks if you make over $5,000,000 you are rich. Which more of the same McCain said at the joke of a presidential forum. But then again he attacked Obama yesterday saying how Obama made $4 million last year. But by more of the same McCain's own words that's not rich. All Obama has to do is make an add showing how out of touch with reality more of the same McCain is. I mean really with the 8 houses more of the same McCain owns (and hasn't paid taxes on) who is an elitist?

What else

What else will more of the same McCains lie about? I mean in one interview Cindy McCain (you remember the person more of the same John McCain had an affair with) claims that she is an only child and it turns out she has a half sister. Last I checked that means she is NOT an only child. What else will they lie about??

http://www.usmagazine.com/news/cindy-mccain-half-sister-she-makes-me-feel-like-a-non-person

I'm glad

I'm glad I don't believe in polls. They would just show how stupid the American people are. They show more of the same John McCain gaining on the next president Barack Obama even though McCain has yet to show an original idea. He has none. All he has said is he will continue Bush's failed policies that has led our country in a recession and a borderline depression. He won't do a damn thing.

Why isn't this being talked about

http://globalwarming.house.gov/mediacenter/pressreleases_2008?id=0033

You know with all the talk about drilling which won't work why isn't the fact that the oil companies are exporting 1.8 billion barrels of oil to countries like China and Russia? Why isn't that being used here where it's needed and what will make prices drop?

And another thing remember how the right-wing media touted how the government of Iraq signed a contract with the big oil companies? Well that's done as they have gone with China instead. So why again are we there? Why is Bush murdering our soldiers? And why isn't this being talked about?

http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/08/20/africa/20oil.php

Who will it be

So I guess at sometime this week we will know the next President Barack Obama's Vice President. I feel his choice is more important then more of the same McCain because I truly feel there is going to be an attempt on Obama's life and the fact that there are so many right-wing media types who encourage violence and since they are sheep they will follow them. I hope he picks a strong choice.

As far as more of the same McCain I have a feeling it's going to be Joe Lieberman. I don't know why but I've always felt that. He will announce his pick after the Democratic Convention

Who REALLY gets it

Once again Barack Obama is the one WHO truly understands where the United States should stand in the world and not more of the same John McCain. If you have a chance check out Obama's speech today after more of the same McCain wrongly called him a traitor in his speech. Obama had the best response. As always more of the same McCain looks like a baby sucking his thumb.

How does it feel

I wonder how Bill O'Idiot feels now that HE is the victim of a hate song and threats like the one he gives out all the time. Make a bet he's not too happy.

http://rawstory.com/rawreplay/?p=1693

Do we still have it?

After watching the Presidential Forum on Saturday hosted by Rick Warren I was wondering if we still have separation of church and state? If so then his tax-exempt status should be taken away immediately and the fact that this person has so much power where he can get both more of the same McCain and Obama is disgusting.

More violence

More Violence against Democrats yesterday as the head of the DNCC in Arkansas was killed by a gunman. I blame the right wing media on this. I have quotes from them that encouraging violence against Democrats and as I have posted before it was a matter of time before stupid followers of theirs took them up on this. Remember the church shooting in Tennessee a couple of weeks ago was because the gunman thought the church was too liberal. But as examples of right-wingers encouraging violence against Democrats:

http://mediamatters.org/items/200511100008

O'REILLY: Hey, you know, if you want to ban military recruiting, fine, but I'm not going to give you another nickel of federal money. You know, if I'm the president of the United States, I walk right into Union Square, I set up my little presidential podium, and I say, "Listen, citizens of San Francisco, if you vote against military recruiting, you're not going to get another nickel in federal funds. Fine. You want to be your own country? Go right ahead."

And if Al Qaeda comes in here and blows you up, we're not going to do anything about it. We're going to say, look, every other place in America is off limits to you, except San Francisco. You want to blow up the Coit Tower? Go ahead.

I have a quote from Ann Coulter saying it's ok to kill the liberal wing of the Supreme Court.

Bill O saying to lynch Michelle Obama

We have the Anthrax letters that were mainly sent to Democrats (which I have my own theory on but that's not important at the moment)

Right Winger Michelle Malkin in San Francisco who tried to intimidate a 12 year old boy
http://www.crooksandliars.com/2007/10/09/graeme-foster-what-would-you-do-if-this-was-snooping-around-your-house/

The history is endless. Bottom line is if it's open season on Democrats and Republicans who do nothing but encourage violence will be held responsible.

Big Difference

So here is the big difference between Robert and myself. I will say something and explain why I am saying that with links to stories and quotes from the people I'm talking about. Robert on the other hand will make a quote and do nothing to back it up.

Here is two examples of recent posts. Robert said that I cannot call more of the same McCain a racist in fact, here is his quote "I'm no fan of McCain but calling him a racist is totally uncalled for.

You should tread carefully here Erik. It is Obama who is showing himself to be racist."

First that sounds like a threat to me. Second there is no explanation why Robert feels that way as always third it's a false statement. I have examples why I made my statement and why I feel that way. Robert is as usual blank other then saying right-wing talking points and not having a mind of his own.

And I should "tread carefully" sounds like a threat. I'm looking at the facts starting with his voting record (which again I have in my archives) and basing on that as well as quotes (which I have also in my archives) and actions like the previous couple of posts down.

By the way Robert you also falsely claimed Obama will be worse then more of the same McCain yet again never offered explanations why. So as usual you make a baseless argument like the Republican poster boy you are.

Just wondering

Using the idiot in the White House's philosophy I'm wondering why he isn't attacking Russia since the people in the country of Georgia actually want freedom? Isn't that one of the reasons why Bush claimed he attacked Iraq? Oh wait wasn't it weapons of mass destruction (which Russia has) or links to terrorism (which Russia has).

Oh wait Russia will destroy us. Nevermind.

Affairs

In the wake of John Edwards admitting to having an affair with someone and of course the right-wing media jumping all over it even though Edwards isn't running for anything anymore I would like to remind everyone how more of the same Mccain also had an affair with his current wife while still married to his first wife(and if you look in my archives you fill find links) and the media is not covering that at all.

Again just a reminder cause we need to be talking about this and the reasons I'm harder on Republicans on this issue is they are the ones who claim they are the party of family values. They sure don't show it.

Thursday, August 07, 2008

Did you know

Did you know this about more of the same John McCain:
http://www.vietnamveteransagainstjohnmccain.com/cin_mccain_lost_five_u.htm

Since more of the same McCain opened up this can of worms with the attack adds I think it's important to know about more of the sames military experience. That link shows he lost 5 aircraft when he flew in Vietnam. That's incompetence. And that should be a story out there but as always the conservative media looks away. No surprise.

Nice Guy

Why is this not news or should we not be surprised on this. I know Keith Olbermann reported this yesterday but this is just added to a long list of racism from more of the same McCain or at least his staff.

http://www.floridacapitalnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080802/CAPITOLNEWS/808020312

He had his staff throw out the lone African American reporter at an event in Florida last week. It really shows how pathetic he is but given his stance on Martin Luther King day he has a history. Remember that.

Birds of a feather

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/08/stevens-to-join.html

Birds of a feather stay together. Bush is joining an event with indicted Alaska Senator Ted Stevens. They absolutely deserve each other.

More slime

Gee does anyone remember how more of the same McCain said he was going to run a different kind of campaign? I do. But that doesn't stop him from releasing yet another attack add on the next President Obama. This guy is nothing but a slime and then after that racist add last week and his history (being against Martin Luther King holiday, etc) I shouldn't be surprised. (Yes I am saying what more of the same McCain is).

And again take a look at his voting record more of the same McCain agreed with Bush 85% of the time. This person is no different from Bush.

Thursday, July 31, 2008

Double Talk

I see the first attack add is done by more of the same McCain. I'd love to say I'm surprised but I'm not since all he does is not straight talk but double talk. He was the one who said how he wants a clean campaign but that lasted about 30 seconds. Again yet another reason not to vote for him.

What liberal bias

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-onthemedia27-2008jul27,0,2066363,full.story

So I would like to once again offer proof of the myth of liberal bias. Barrack Obama has received, since Hillary Clinton dropped out, 28% of positive media coverage and 72% negative. Meanwhile more of the same McCain has received 43% positive and 57 % negative.

Again this is ALL NETWORKS. And if any conservative says one more time about media bias I have facts on my side.

Ted Stevens

I never thought I'd write a post on Ted Stevens but he was indicted yesterday. Odds are since he is a Republican nothing will happen to him since that is their history of criminals (Vitter, Craig most recently) but nice to see the law working.

OK

As you probably have heard we had a 5.4 Earthquake today. Just letting you know we are ok.

Do you remember

Do you remember when President Bill Clinton left office? Do you remember the budget surplus he left us in??I sure do but now we have Bush who announced we will have a record $482 BILLION dollar deficit in 2009. I thought Republicans where fiscally responsible but obviously that is yet another myth and yet another reason not to vote for more of the same McCain.

Sad

ggxwhttp://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/jul/28/usa

This sick individual who shot and killed two people and wounded others in Tennessee is pathetic but he is in the same mindset as a lot of conservatives.

For those who don't know he went to a church he is not a member of and fired away for the reason he felt the church was too liberal! Let's have that sink he this individual killed two people, wounded others IN A CHURCH because HE felt the church was too liberal.

First off the mere fact that I had to make that statement disgusts me. The fact is I've seen bumper stickers saying make the world safer shoot a liberal proves what sick disgusting psychopaths they really are and really have no place in the world. It's really sad and yes for Robert who I know is going to say something again Robert prove to me in any way where this losers actions are justified and ask how outraged you would be if someone shot up a conservative church for the reasons this guy is saying.

And I make a bet he is one of the dittoheads (mind you I'm assuming) cause Rush does encourage violence. I have posts showing that in my archives.

Again who REALLY gets it

Finally someone who understands what America's place in the world should be. Check out Obama's speech today in Berlin. We've had 8 years of a President with the shoot first shoot last and shoot everywhere in between facts be damned and if you vote for more of the same McCain you will continue that. Here is a link for today's speech and that is the best speech I've seen in my lifetime by a politician:

When did he know and what did he know

http://rawstory.com//news/2008/Was_Flight_93_shot_down_on_0723.html

Just wondering why this isn't news? This should be the most talked about story on air today. It's about the prosecutor, not defense attorney, saying that flight 93 was shot down. Here is the quote:

"If they hadn't shot down the fourth plane it would've hit the dome," Stone, a Navy officer, said in his opening remarks.

Now I want to know the following: What did Bush know (and if you remember he said he saw the first plane hit the World Trade Center when no one did) when did Bush know it and why did Bush not do anything (although that answer is completely obvious as I have stated previously). We have a right to know and remember he never testified under oath to the 9/11 commission so he very easily lied to them.

Tuesday, July 22, 2008

Who's Fault??

So I want to talk about two adds. One is more of the same McCain's tv add that was shown yesterday blaming Democratic candidate Barrack Obama for the high gas prices because he is against oil drilling. I hate to burst that bubble but the gas prices rose dramatically BEFORE he was even in the Senate and more of the same McCain could have done something AT THAT POINT but his good friend Phil Gramm who ended the regulation of the oil industry (another argument against deregulation) is most responsible.

2nd and this is about a week old but I had to talk about this and this is even more disgusting. This is a billboard that was bought in Florida by a Republican. The billboard clearly blames Democrats for 9/11 shows the World Trade Center on fire and since the Republicans only know how to promote fear instead of their own agenda. This billboard is disgusting and of course NOT FACTUAL!

I think we need a reminder about who was in office on 9/11 and who IS ACTUALLY RESPONSIBLE: George Bush was President on 9/11 and was warned in August in his Presidential Daily Briefing that "Bin Laden determined to attack the United States". Bush did nothing. REPUBLICANS were in control of Congress and the Senate and did nothing. There is one political party responsible for 9/11 and that is the Republican Party. And I will continue to push that point for as long as necessary. And I won't promote the billboard google search it if you want to see it.

By the way speaking of the next President Obama did anyone see where Iraqi Prime Minister Malaki of Iraq endorsed Obama's plan of withdraw? Funny how he is making Bush and more of the same McCain irrelevant.

For a laugh

For all the serious things we talk about on this site it's time for something funny. If you can go check out the latest video from our friends at jibjab.com as usual it's really funny and they do a great job.

Flip Flops

I have a couple of things today. First I have a link for 27 of more of the same McCain's flip-flops. That's as of today who knows how many more. Keep in mind next time the right-wing media calls Obama a flip-flopper.

http://www.wegoted.com/news/detail.asp?newsID=268

2nd I see where Bush is sending an envoy to talk with Iran. Funny when OBAMA had the SAME IDEA Bush said he would be appeasing enemies comparing him with those who wanted to appease Hitler. Funny where is the media calling Bush the hypocrite he is?

Tuesday, July 15, 2008

Who REALLY Gets it

So I would like to ask who really understands policy. We have more of the same McCain who has said things like "we will be in Iraq for 100 years" and "bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran" and we have the next President of the United States Barrack Obama who actually outlined a sane policy.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/07/15/obama.iraq/index.html

If more of the same McCain had any brains he would look at Obama's policy. But luckily in a few months we won't have to worry about him and he can go back to his cushy life as a senator or do the world a favor and retire like most people his age.

So to sum up:

Sane foreign policies: Barrack Obama

Continuation of Bush's Policies: More of the same John McCain

Sunday, July 13, 2008

Why

I'm just wondering when the media is going to report on more of the same McCain's adultery. That's right adultery. He cheated on his former wife with his current wife. Nevermind this is while the former wife was severely disfigured after a call wreck.

Mind you how the media was all over President Clinton's affairs. The obvious double-standard is pathetic and YET AGAIN proves how the media panders to the Republicans. As they always have.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1024927/The-wife-John-McCain-callously-left-behind.html

Thursday, July 10, 2008

Sad

I'm going to disagree (obviously) with Obama's vote in favor of Bush spying on American citizens. I won't agree with everything he does no one agrees with everyone 100 percent of the time. I kinda think I know why he did vote for it cause if he didn't the Republican smear machine (since that's all they know how to do attack) would claim how soft he is on terror and he doesn't want to protect American's. Even though this bill won't prevent a terror attack in any way.

On a side note I wonder what's worse in the news the past couple of days.

A: (Which is getting the most airplay by the right wing media) Jessie Jackson saying he would cut Obama's nuts off

or

B: More of the same McCain surrogate Graham saying that American's are imagining how bad things are in the economy. Saying everything is alright. Blaming everyone but the fact that the truth is the United States is in a recession.

To me McCain surrogate Graham calling American's stupid is worse. But that's me.

Tuesday, July 08, 2008

Interesting

http://independentsources.com/2006/06/03/john-mccain-gambling-las-vegas/

So it says more of the same McCain likes to gamble. There is nothing wrong except in ethics. I have a few questions I think should be answered which won't cause the media looks the other way for more of the same McCain. I think these are legitimate questions.

Does he owe casino's any amount of money?
Has he done political favors for those casinos?
How has he voted when gaming votes come up?

And most importantly I think Has he paid taxes on his winnings and loses. If you look at a couple of posts ago there is a history of him not paying taxes. This is something that really needs to be looked at.

Friday, July 04, 2008

Must be nice

It must being nice being racist drug-addicted right-wingers. I see where Rush signed a new contract where he makes $38 million a year to tell lies and deceive people. Ahhh only in America can someone filled with hate like he is can do that.

Arrest Him

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/06/28/mccains-failed-to-pay-tax_n_109785.html

More of the same McCain needs to be arrested. Why?? Failure to pay taxes. And yes they do arrest people for that and he being of the highest profile needs to be one of them to set the example. Four years without paying taxes on his property in California is a crime and he needs to be punished accordingly.

How can more of the same McCain claim to be a patriot when he doesn't pay his taxes??

Only in Texas

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/world/latinamerica/la-na-shoot1-2008jul01,0,3358560.story?track=rss

Only in Texas can you commit pre-meditated murder and be called a hero and found not guilty. Well you can in Ca. too if you are famous which this idiot is not. Sad. More guns are NOT THE ANSWER!
