One more week til the end of the stench of the George Bush Presidency. Not a moment too soon.

Did anyone see the idiot's press conference yesterday? I'm telling you outside of the usual lies and how stupid he thinks the American people are he was clearly drunk or stoned or something. He was clearly slurring his speech he was clearly wasted. Again. Glad the nightmare is going to be over soon and hopefully Obama will store honor and respect to the White House contrary to the loser that currently occupies it

The link shows the soon to be former Vice President Darth Vader saying that he doesn't care that Bin Laden wasn't captured. How pathetic. But I guess he got what he wanted with the illegal war in Iraq so it doesn't matter to him.

To me it does matter. But forgive me for actually giving a damn about what happened on 9/11. We know who doesn't.

The REAL top 5

So with the BCS crap I figured I'd give the REAL top 5 in college football. No scientific stuff like polls just my opinion.

1) Utah. They are undefeated. They beat 6 teams this year that were in bowls. They might have even beat the Florida and Oklahoma teams that showed up on Thursday.

2) USC. Truly the best teams in the country. Everyone knows I'm not a USC fan but I always do respect them and the fact of the matter is they had a tougher schedule then the teams in the alleged Championship Game

3) Florida. Tim Teebow is a great player. They have a solid team. USC still beats them at this time.

4) Texas. They beat Oklahoma. They should have been there. Result still would have been the same

5) The Pac-10 Conference. They went 5-0 in bowl games. No other conference could claim that.

Quit Whining

This is why the Republicans are nothing right now. I present FORMER V.P. candidate Sarah Palin who I know people wish she would just go away. She blamed the media for the fact Republicans lost when the media was more then fair with her and McCain. Remember SHE was the one who claimed how she could do things like see Russia from her house. SHE was also the one who encouraged violence against Obama by refusing to denounce people who said things like terrorist, kill him at her rallies and SHE was the one who just looked stupid everytime she was asked softball questions by people like Katie Couric, Charles Gibson and Shawn Hannity and especially during her one and only debate.

Remember it was Obama who did interviews with people from both parties. She didn't. She looked how she was and that was not prepared for the spotlight but like the typical Republican she blames everyone BUT herself! The blame game doesn't work anymore and once Republicans figure that out they might gain seats in the House and Senate. Until then go away!

Who's to blame

We've heard about the sad loss of John Travolta's son Jett and I feel that John is fully responsible for the death because of scientology. Those who are not aware it's been widely reported Jett had autism and because scientology refuses to have medicine for mental health that i feel was a factor. I feel there should be a full investigation of John Travolta and charges should be filed if warrented. And by the way anyone who feels scientology is a true religion let's just say is wrong.

Good and Bad

First I wanna do something I rarely do and that is give Bush credit cause it's due. He has protected appprox 195200 square miles of the Pacific Ocean along with two other areas which he has previously done. Congrats for once you did the right thing.

Now for the bad and that's the Democratic Senate. They rejected Blogevich's appointment to the Senate yesterday and I'm confused why.

A) He is qualified to be Senator according to the U.S. Constitution

B) Blogevich IS the current Governor of Illinois and IS doing his job as much as a scumbag he is

C) It really makes Democrats look horrible by doing this. If they want to hold on to the majority and maybe pick up a seat or two in the future they are doing themselves no favors.

I'm wondering why Reed didn't battle Republicans on Iraq,torture,the bank bailout and so many others with as much intensity? It said too much about his character and it really disappoints me that he is not a leader and needs to step away.

And one more good thing. I want to say congrats to Al Franken for legally winning the Senate in Minnesota. He earned a victory with all votes counted. Of course that is not what Norman Coleman wants to hear cause he is going to of course sue to stop Franken from being certified.

Bush's Errors

So the people who want to head the Republican Party were asked what was the worst mistake Bush made as President. I can come up with a few:

A) The Bank Bailout. I mean think about it he got funds for banks with no questions asked. No regulation. Good idea with this crook

B) Iraq. We were lied to. We were told how Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and were going to use them against us or Israel. If Bush listened to the people on the ground as he claims he does he would have known Iraq DIDN'T have any weapons. According to every U.N. weapons inspector that was there.

C) Katrina . I say because Bush allowed the poor people to suffer. Bush's lack of concern was astounding and he didn't do a thing until it was too late.

D) 9/11. He was warned an attack was coming. He chose to do nothing. Look what happened

E) Patriot Act. It was funny how many people were so willing to have our civil rights taken away by this illegal legislation.

F) Torture. I will always ask this question and never seem to get a response. If waterboarding happened to our troops would we as a country consider it torture? Yes we would yet it's ok for Bush to do it. This is why we are so hated in the world right now.

G) The denial over the economy. How long did we hear the economy is ok from Bush? Maybe if he gave a damn about common people instead of being an elitist like he is.

H) Valerie Plame. The outing of a covert CIA agent is illegal no matter how big or small his or her role is. Bush said he would fire anyone associated with the leaking of her name. He pardoned the one person convicted when everyone with a brain knew he and Cheney were the ones who leaked it!

I) The phony war on terror. Bush not only failed to make a dent in Al Queda, he strengthened them. Bush has completely forgotten about the person responsible for 9/11 Bin Laden and every time something comes up that is damning toward him he uses a phony terror threat to distract the nation. It's a joke and an embarassment!

J) The record deficit. Does anyone remember when Bush stole the office in 2000? We had something called a surplus. No debt. Bill Clinton did that. Bush is leaving us with a deficit of over $400 billion dollars. I know Republicans like to blame Democrats but this started when Republicans controlled everything and anyone who says otherwise is in denial!

I'll come up with a few more I'm sure

Let's take a look at something. You all remember the illegal firing of the U.S. Attorney's authorized by Rove for refusing to go after Democrats? I'm sure you don't since the media doesn't talk about it anymore. Let's take a look at the past year at the results:

This is a DIRECT result of what Rove did and he refused to testify for it. He should be in jail as well as Bush, Cheney as I've said many times I hope Obama has the courage to prosecute all of them. If this isn't pay to play I don't know what is.

Tough

I wanted to chime in on the disaster in Gaza between Hamas and Israel. This might be stunning one of the few areas I agree with Bush on is Israel. I've always wondering why these groups are mad at Israel instead of the countries that really cost them a country called Palestine which is Egypt, Jordan, and Syria when they attacked Israel in 1967. Israel has every right to defend themselves and it's funny how you hear from the media about the "poor palestinians" after the attacks but not the fact that Hamas instigates the attacks for continuing to fire rockets into Israel.

I'm sorry but until the people of Palestine decide to show their purpose is not to destroy Israel they do not deserve a country.

Why is this a Republican Assassination: He, contrary to Vince Foster, was about to testify on the 2004 election in Ohio which Bush stole yet again and Karl Rove DID threaten him. Connell was warned by friend not to fly and he was killed. And I'm sorry this is obvious

Remember during the campaign where Rush Limbaugh played a disgusting "parody" of Puff the Magic Dragon called Barrack the Magic Negro and how incredibly offensive it was? Well apparently the Republicans didn't get the message as it didn't stop Republican Chip Saltsman, who wants to become head of the GOP from sending the recording out as a Christmas gift to other Republicans. If there is any more proof how racist Republicans are there it is and the fact is no one ever seems to call them on it.

Take a look we have President-Elect Obama who does nothing but preach unity and then the Republicans who do nothing but divide and create anger and hate.

Do you think President-Elect Obama has enough on his plate when he is sworn in? He already has:

A) An inherited financial disaster created by the Bush Administration

B) The wars created by the Bush Administration in Iraq and Afghanistan

C) The deteriorating situation in Israel

D) The developing situation between India and Pakistan where our troops are in the middle

A few more in the bad a few more in the good

I forgot in my last post to name a few in the bad and the good. Here is who I forgot.

Bad:
Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reed. You are supposed to be leaders. Not followers. You were followers and gave into Bush every time. If you don't lead find people who will and get out of the way.

John Edwards. You thought with your head and not the one above your shoulders. You would have been an amazing Attorney General and now you are gone. We live with the choices we make and you chose poorly.

The Detroit Lions. Wow. Robert as bad as your Rams are and my Raiders are at least our favorite teams aren't as bad as the Lions.

The BCS. I wish it would go away. They took games like the Rose Bowl and took away it's history. Made it meaningless. As someone who understands tradition in sports it upsets me.


Good:

Michael Phelps. Wow what a performance at the Olympics. you had America clued to the TV every time you swam.

Usain Bolt from Jamaica. Your speed at the Olympics was also incredible. Shattered the world record and if you blinked you missed him.

George Carlin. I know he was a dirty comedian in term of language but he was very funny and I will miss him a lot.

Good Bad

Since everyone is doing reviews of the past year I will to. Just do what I think is the good and the bad of the year.

Bad:
The Media. The horrible coverage they gave to Obama and the favorable coverage they gave to McCain despite the facts. Continuing to bring up Ayers which wasn't an issue Rev. Wright which wasn't an issue but McCain who had ties to a terrorist and hateful preachers like John Hagee went unreported.

George Bush Dick Cheney. I lump them together cause they have done nothing but destroy America. We are in the disaster we are in financially because of them we are billions of dollars in debt because of them we are in a was tted war in Iraq because of them and their lies. They are responsible for what's going on now and should be blamed properly and as I said I hope Obama has the courage to put them on trial for War Crimes.

John McCain. What a horrible campaign. While Obama was sticking with the issues more of the same McCain did nothing but attack and smear like the typical Republican he is. It was pathetic and horrible. And the fact he did nothing to discourage the people who said kill him and he's a terrorist at his rallies shows how disgusting he is. We can also bring up what a snob he is and he is so out of touch he didn't know how many houses he owns. It was horrible.

California. Prop 8. For a state that is considered by many to be liberal we sure didn't show it. The fact that so many people fell for the church's bullying and fear based ads without realizing what they were really doing was saying that it's ok to descriminate against gay and lesbian people show that people really don't know what they are doing.

Organized Religion. For the reason above. The fact is the church is responsible for Prop 8 and the scare tactics they used fooled the people. They are to blame for the reprecussions. The fact also is there are preachers who are telling the parishners to repent for voting for Obama is disgusting as well.

Sarah Palin. John McCain killed any chance he had to win by picking her. She was horrible. She had no experience (which was an argument McCain used against Obama) she more importantly had no clue. McCain could have picked so many more stronger, experienced Republican women but chose her. She was in way over her head and it showed.

Hillary Clinton during the primaries. She was as bad as McCain during the primaries she deserved to lose. Glad she came around.

The Republican Party. They deserved exactly what they got on election day. The smears won't work anymore.

Toby Keith. His whining about the Country Awards just pissed me off.

Now the good:

The American People. They refused to give into the fear-based ads the Republicans gave us. They accepted Obama and the issues instead of smears and attacks. Congrats to the people they deserved it.

Barack Obama. He ran a great campaign he didn't get into the character attacks even though there was more then enough actual facts that he could have gone.

Hillary and Bill Clinton. After realizing they lost the primaries they campaigned hard for Obama and helped Obama become President.

Tina Fey and Saturday Night Live. Got the ratings up and made the show interesting again. Fey was more like Palin then Palin. And Amy Proeler as Hillary Clinton was equally good.

David Letterman. When McCain cancelled on him and did another interview instead it pissed Letterman off and might have cost McCain more votes.

Rush to Judgement

I think people, including myself, are guilty in a rush to judgment in the case of Illinois Gov. Blagojevich. When the news broke of Patrick Fitzgerald's case the case looked damning. Now even false (Fox News for those who are new here) news is reporting the wiretaps used in the case might be illegal which a lot of Fitzgerald's case was based on. If Blagojevich is guilty of course throw the book at him if not a lot of people, including myself, will owe him an apology.

But of course I need to remind people about Fitzgerald's character when he refused to press charges in the Valerie Plame case even though there was ACTUAL evidence against Bush and Cheney.

Put in his place

It's about time right-wingers are put in their place regarding the auto industry situation. I just saw on CNN about 30 minutes ago where Wolf Blitzer repeated the myth that the union workers in the auto industry make $70 an hour when guest Michigan Gov. Jenifer Granholf just shut him down and gave the actual salary the average worker makes. 2nd Blitzer said how this was a bailout when what they received IS A LOAN THAT HAS TO BE PAID BACK! Unlike Wall Street which doesn't have to do anything with the billions they received! I really wish right-wingers like Blitzer would actually research what is going on instead of just repeating wrong talking points. Oh wait I'm talking right-wingers who think they can make up stuff and not be called on it and since they have listeners and viewers who are pretty much sheep and will believe everything they say (right dittoheads) nothing will happen to them

Bad choice

Bad choice for Obama to have Rick Warren give a prayer at his inauguration. This guy is exactly what I'm talking about when I say how much better the world would be without religion. He is exactly what's wrong with the hate he preaches and the fact he has an audience to preach it to and they believe him and follow him disgusts me. I realize I'm not going to agree with everything Obama does and this is one of them without a doubt.
