    No Erik. "Pal"ing around with allies is not what a president is supposed to do.

    FDR met with Stalin
    Truman met with Stalin
    Kennedy met with Khrushchev
    Nixon met with Mao
    Reagan met with Gorbachev
    Even Jimmy Fricken' Carter met with Brezhnev

    It's not an easy job and we shouldn't have a president taking the path of least resistance.
