The nonstop barrage of attacks on President Obama include lately that he has full control over gas prices. I remember when gas prices skyrockted under Bush the right wing media was giving him a pass. And for the record I was saying that since he had influence being an oil man he should use it to do what he can. And really if this isn't collusion I don't know what is.

Do words matter?

I ask this question because we are on the anniversery of the Oklahoma City Bombing. We see such hate from the right-wing media, as well as Republicans in congress and a certain quitter from Alaska, directed toward liberals and especially the Government, we've seen Rep. Michelle Bachman encourage revolution, we see rocks thrown at windows of Democratic Reps due to those words that come from Rush, O'Idiot, Hannity and so many more and we've seen actions.

Take a look at the guy who flew his plane into the IRS in Texas. (By the way a great piece over the weekend on CNN)

The person in Pittsburgh who shot three police officers who firmly believed Obama was going to take away his guns

And I can continue but the point is these murders have one thing in common and that is a right-wing connection. And until people like Bachman, Palin, Rush, all of these who are encouraging violence are arrested for inciting violence the attacks will be worse and worse and since Republicans never accecpt responsibility for their actions someone has to step up.

Went Silently

Did anyone notice yesterday was the first full year President Obama has been in office? You didn't hear a thing from the media about it. I remember the big deal they made on the first anniversery from the last psychopath in the office.

Why isn't this being talked about?

While the right naturally is using the Ft. Hood attacks to attack the Muslim faith (keep in mind I have no love for them at all either)

Why isn't the media talking more about the fact the alleged shooter was being bullied by other members of the military? There were reports that he has had his car keyed all the way around and he had a bumber sticker about allah torn off and we know how in previous shootings the suspects were bullied. Really that should be talked and I feel if that the people who bullied him are suspects too.

About Last Night

So what we are going to hear about the election last night from the right-wing media is how it was a vote against President Obama. If you look at the exit polls that I saw last night on ALL the channels is that will be a lie. The exit polls indicated that 57 % in Virginia said Obama had NOTHING TO DO WITH THEIR VOTE and that number was 60% in New Jersey. If you look at Virginia especially historically whatever party is in power in the White House they pick the oposite in the Gov.

What you won't hear from the Right Wing media is about the New York 23 congressional seat being taken by a Democrat for the first time since the Civil War. You won't hear about California 10th which was won by a Democrat for the first time in years as well. Especially NY 23rd though where Republicans started booting out moderates to vote for the "conservative" party candidate. It just shows the infighting involved in the Republican party right now.

However I will say this should serve as a wake up call for Democrats in one sense that they should not take 2010 lightly because you know the Republican nut jobs will be in force supporting the most extremest candidates out there. Be careful.
