Pork??

So Bush claims he is going to veto the bill that sets a timeline for the troops to withdraw from Iraq cause it contains too much pork? Isn't this the same man who signed the famed bridge to nowhere which benefited Republican Ted Stevens? Now the moron is concerned about pork?

I hate to disagree with the idiot but the fact is he is actually getting ALL of the money he is asking for for the illegal war in Iraq. All of it. The only reason he is vetoing the bill is cause of the deadline. No other reason. If anyone believes otherwise they are as stupid as he is.

How does it feel?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070326/ap_on_re_mi_ea/british_seized_iran_51

Just wondering how it feels to Great Britain? If you didn't hear they had 15 soldiers taken prisoner by Iran after allegedly sailing in their waters. The soldiers are being interrogated and I just wonder how rough they are being treated as a result of BUSH backing out of the Geneva Convention. I said then as I continue to say that when Bush did that that will come back to haunt every soldier from any country. And unfortunately I'm right again.

By the way

Just wanted to apologize for the lack of posts the past few days. My cable modem wasn't working and I have Time-Warner. You do the math :).

Did you know?

This is not reported by the conservative media but I saw this at http://americablog.blogspot.com and I have to tell.

Whenever Bush uses soldiers for props as he does all the time it violates several Department of Defense policies. Specifically these:

3.1. The wearing of the uniform by members of the Armed Forces (including retired members and members of Reserve components) is prohibited under any of the following circumstances:

3.1.1. At any meeting or demonstration that is a function of, or sponsored by an organization, association, movement, group, or combination of persons that the Attorney General of the United States has designated, under Executive Order 10450 as amended (reference (c)), as totalitarian, fascist, communist, or subversive, or as having adopted a policy of advocating or approving the commission of acts of force or violence to deny others their rights under the Constitution of the United States, or as seeking to alter the form of Government of the United States by unconstitutional means.

3.1.2. During or in connection with furthering political activities, private employment or commercial interests, when an inference of official sponsorship for the activity or interest may be drawn.

3.1.3. Except when authorized by the approval authorities in subparagraph 4.1.1., when participating in activities such as unofficial public speeches, interviews, picket lines, marches, rallies or any public demonstration, which may imply Service sanction of the cause for which the demonstration or activity is conducted.
And regarding retired vets:
3.2. Former members of the Armed Forces, unless under another provision of this Instruction or
under the terms of Section 772 of title 10, United States Code (reference (d)), who served honorably during a declared or undeclared war and whose most recent service was terminated under honorable conditions may wear the uniform in the highest grade held during such war service only on the following occasions and in the course of travel incident thereto:

3.2.1. Military funerals, memorial services, weddings, and inaugurals.

3.2.2. Parades on National or State holidays; or other parades or ceremonies of a patriotic character in which any Active or Reserve United States military unit is taking part.

3.2.3. Wearing of the uniform or any part thereof at any other time or for any other purposes is prohibited.

3.3. Medal of Honor holders may wear the uniform at their pleasure except under the circumstances set forth in paragraph 3.1., above.

So nevermind the many many laws he has broken, nevermind how he neglects the troops both in the field and after they come home, nevermind he is the first President to lose a city nevermind the scandals the lies the laws he's broken. How he has violated, actually destroyed the constitution.

I'd like to know why no one else is reporting these criminal acts? It's incredible to me that people care more about someones PRIVATE sex life then someone who has broken laws.

Just wondering

Just wondering why it was ok for Republicowards to subpoena staff members of President Bill Clinton during a fake Whitewater investigation YET it's not ok for Democrats to summon members of the Bush Administration for a real crime such as firing of U.S. Attorneys.

Wondering also why Republicowards also blame President Bill Clinton ANYTIME something goes wrong during the CURRENT ADMINISTRATION? It seems to me that whoever is CURRENTLY in power should deserve the blame for any CURRENT problem.

A prayer Please

Even though we have had our differences I would like to ask for you to give a prayer for Robert for the passing of his father. His website is http://purdrivel.blogspot.com . Please as I have offer your condolences for him and his families loss.

Still Waiting

I would like to give the following quote from Bill O'Idiot: " (thanks to thinkprogress.org) March 18, 2003
–Bill O’Reilly makes a promise on ABC’s Good Morning America: “If the Americans go in and overthrow Saddam Hussein and it’s clean, he has nothing, I will apologize to the nation, and I will not trust the Bush Administration again, all right?”

Still waiting for that apology loser.

DQ

John McCain is as intelligent as George Bush. And I don't mean that as a compliment cause we know how really stupid Bush is. Really stupid.

Here is the following quote from John McCain (thanks to americablog for this)

Q: “What about grants for sex education in the United States? Should they include instructions about using contraceptives? Or should it be Bush’s policy, which is just abstinence?”

Mr. McCain: (Long pause) “Ahhh. I think I support the president’s policy.”

Q:
“So no contraception, no counseling on contraception. Just abstinence. Do you think contraceptives help stop the spread of HIV?”

Mr. McCain: (Long pause) “You’ve stumped me.”

Q: “I mean, I think you’d probably agree it probably does help stop it?”

Mr. McCain: (Laughs) “Are we on the Straight Talk express? I’m not informed enough on it. Let me find out. You know, I’m sure I’ve taken a position on it on the past. I have to find out what my position was. Brian, would you find out what my position is on contraception – I’m sure I’m opposed to government spending on it, I’m sure I support the president’s policies on it.”

Q: “But you would agree that condoms do stop the spread of sexually transmitted diseases. Would you say: ‘No, we’re not going to distribute them,’ knowing that?”

Mr. McCain: (Twelve-second pause) "
Get me Coburn’s thing, ask Weaver to get me Coburn’s paper that he just gave me in the last couple of days. I’ve never gotten into these issues before.”

Those statement should AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFY McCain from the Presidency. Using condoms DOES stop the spread of HIV and if he doesn't know that

Curious

Curious if Congress is going to call the oil company executives now that gas in California is over 3 dollars a gallon again. Just as I said before the election it was an attempt by Republicans to gain votes since they and the oil industry are working together in a conspiracy.

The funniest thing is one of the reasons I heard on a radio station here (KNX1070) the prices were going up so fast in California is "we are shipping our gas to Arizona." Now that would make me logically think that the prices in ARIZONA would go up and not California.

If anyone wishes I would be curious what gas prices are in other areas of the country. I'd be curious to find out if they are higher in blue states then red states. If you would post I'd appreciate it.

Funny Isn't It?

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/2007/03/14/2007-03-14_giuliani_firm_on_payroll_of_prez_chavez_.html

Funny how the media is silent when a Republican Presidential Candidate does business with people like Hugo Chavez. You would think that would be a big story on the news but I saw a by the way scroll on CNN and nothing on False News. That candidate is Rudolph Guliani and his law firm lobbies for Citgo which is owned by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.

For Fun

If anyone is interested I created a NCAA Basketball Tournament Challenge league at ESPN. It's free but you do have to register if you are not already.

The league name is Who Knows. It is public and no password is needed

One Step

Well the first step as the person in charge of the disgraced Walter Reed Hospital resigned now if only the person who has continuously cut the budget for care for our soldiers, George W. Bush would do the same and be put on trial for abuse would resign that would be perfect.

Dead on Arrival

In the good news of the week (glad to see there is some for once) Democrats pulled out of what would have been a sham of a debate on False News when False News Chief, Roger Ailes, compared Illinois Senator Barrack Obama and Osama Bin Laden. You know that would be a sham and False News would have done nothing but attack the Democrats as they always do.

Finally

Sorry I didn't post yesterday as usual computer problems (what else is new). I'd like to talk about the Scooter Libby CONVICTION and what I hope it means. While I realize Bush is going to pardon him I just hope and pray the REAL criminals will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. The REAL criminals are of course Pres. George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.

That is my dream that will happen. I know it won't but if what they did isn't impeachable I don't know what is.

Isn't It Nice

It must be nice to be princess Mann Coulter (not a typo) here she calls John Edwards another word for gay which I will not use and instead of being blasted she gets rewarded by more television appearences. So if you are liberal and say something offensive it's evil and are usually removed from whatever you are doing but if you are a conservative and say something offensive you get more tv time. Yes this is the right-wing media at work.

O'Idiot

So Bill O'Idiot in his column wants to know why the media was not covering the fact that an EX-ACLU official was arrested for having child porn?

He specifically mentions ABC News, CBS News, CNN, New York Times. Since he apparently doesn't have the time I decided to google search the person in questions name who is Charles Tierney-Rust and long and behold here are the links that came up:

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=2900174&page=1

So mark ABC news off the list

In fact if you google search you will see links to all the news mediums mentioned. Sorry Bill O you lied yet again.

Huh?

There are times when the Democratic Party confuses even me. I'm wondering why Joe Lieberman is giving the Democratic radio address today when he is an Independent and caucuses with Republicans most of the time? Just wondering.

How Stupid?

White House Press Secretary and former false news correspondant Tony Snow should be fired on the spot. He is either really stupid or thinks the public is really stupid with the following question and his response:

At first Snow claimed that this was “an intelligence matter that I’m not going to be able to go into,” despite the fact that the new National Intelligence Director had testified about this topic the day before. He then suggested that bin Laden may now be “marginalized.” A reporter responded, “Isn’t he the leader of al Qaeda?” Snow answered, “Well, I don’t know. It’s a real question about who assumes operational command.”

There is a video of this at thinkprogress.
