He didn't know??

Bush is going to be interviewed on ABC tonight. I'd like to give a brief summary after Hurricaine Katrina hit.

VARGAS: When you look back on those days immediately following when Katrina struck, what moment do you think was the moment that you realized that the government was failing, especially the people of New Orleans?

BUSH: When I saw TV reporters interviewing people who were screaming for help. It looked — the scenes looked chaotic and desperate. And I realized that our government was — could have done a better job of comforting people.

According to Bush, he didn’t realize there was anything wrong with the administration’s response until almost four days after the hurricane. The first time he saw newscasts of the situation on the ground was on the morning of Sept. 2, when White House “Counselor [Dan] Bartlett made up a DVD of the newscasts so Bush could see them in their entirety as he flew down to the Gulf Coast the next morning on Air Force One.”

that was courtesy of thinkprogress.org

Now let me get this stragight?? No one, according to him, was advising him the situation there?? I mean I know he's stupid but that doesn't mean we are. He knew what was going on I have posted many times here the timelines of Katrina and who knew what when. He really thinks the public is stupid.

More on the Port Deal

http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1139395502196&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull

So the company that Bush is going to allow to take over our ports has a boycott of Israel. I guess it's true about politics and strange bedfellows. This is as close to aiding the enemy as you can get.

One more thing. I'm not sure how many are aware of this but they also get security briefings. The same (or simular) ones that Bush gets. I wonder where (Bin Laden) they will get to.

This has disaster written all over it but then again what does Bush really care about he, his administration (as reported earlier) are making money off this that's all that matters to him.

34 %

34 %.. What that number is not the number of people who know how to drive properly in the rain here in Los Angeles, 34 % is not the number of people who think the Lakers will win the NBA Championship this year 34 % is Bush's latest approval ratings. Keep up the good work George.

What we did not see

Last weekend New Orleans held the Mardi Gras celebration along the French Quarter. What we didn't see, dispite all the networks being there, was the devastation still around from hurricaine Katrina.

So much for showing the real news.

More huh?

I'm a little confused here (I know what else is new). I thought the republicans were supposed to be the post 9/11 party. The security party. Yet everything I see about the port deal contradicts that. I'm reading the reasons why the deal should happen and I can't find a single reason why it makes sense.

For instance I'm reading my good friend Bill O'Reilly's column today and he says that it's because we need their friendship. I remember back in 1980 or so people saying the same thing about Saddam.

The bottom line is the UAE is not our friend. I'm not saying they are our enemy but they actually have ties to the attack on us on 9/11 and they have ties to Bin Laden and they have ties to terror. If those weren't facts I would not have a problem with them but those are facts.

Huh

In a move that makes absolutely no sense to me a state congressmen from Ohio wants to have a law passed that will ban republicans there from adopting children. http://rawstory.com/news/2005/Ohio_lawmaker_proposes_ban_on_Republican_0224.html

Now you know how I feel about the right-wing and their stupidity but they have the right to adopt children. This is just stupid

Banned

So they passed a law in South Dakota that bans all forms of abortion. We know where it's going to end up (the Supreme Court) and we know what will happen (if I'm wrong I will be the first to apologize).

So much for the right to chose.

Only

So the United Arab Emirates donated 1 million dollars to the Bush Library Foundation http://www.thinkprogress.org/ I wonder if that had anything to do with the port deal.. Oh wait he claims he didn't know (which we all know what that is)

Too late

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060223/ap_on_el_pr/florida_voting

So a "non-partisan" group is questioning the results of the Florida election in 2004. Isn't it too late? I mean I wish they came forward back then since we know the election was stolen like it was in 2000.

Worse-Case Scenario Part 2

I've been thinking lately about other scenarios that might happen in a couple of years that may involve U.S. troops and american lives. I wonder if this is possible. You tell me.

In two years the summer olympics are going to be in China. Everyone should know the tension between China and Taiwan. Here is my scenario: Taiwan declares it's independence during the olympics thinking China will not do anything being in the spotlight. Now China will attack Taiwan and I think we are obligated by treaty to defend Taiwan (please tell me if I am wrong). That is my worse case scenario.

Worse-Case Scenario

If you've been following what's been going on in Iraq things are getting worse by the moment. With the attack on the holy site and the response Iraq is on the verge of a civil war. Let's hope cooler heads prevail and things calm down.

Only on Fox

Did anyone read the 9/11 commission report besides me? Apparently on Fox they don't think you did. Fox ran today about 11:30 a.m. p.s.t. that the 9/11 commission report said Saddam had ties to Osama Bin Laden. Now anyone who read the report it said to the effect of the following: Osama Bin Laden contacted Saddam Hussein to try run some terrorist camps in Iraq and Saddam said no. That's it.

Sounds like Fox thinks you're stupid.

First Veto

So Bush is going to use his first veto to block any effort by congress and the sentate to block the sale of the ports to a company owned by the United Arab Emerits.

Isn't it funny how he talks about security but fails to follow through??

Ken Starr and Michael Morales

I'd like to talk this evening about Ken Starr and his role in stopping the execution of Michael Morales.

You all remember Ken Starr don't you? For those who don't he wasted tens of millions of dollars investigating a land deal that President Bill Clinton lost money on and instead finding out about an affair he was having.

Yes that Ken Starr.

Also some background on Morales he was scheduled to die because he was convicted of raping, torturing and murdering a then 17 year old Terri Winchell.

Now for some reason a court ruled an anesthesiologist had to administer the drugs used Morales execution making sure he had to be knocked out before the fatal drugs are fatal drugs were injected in MOrales. Nevermind the courts failed to recognize the fact that he didn't think of doing the same when he murdered Terri Winchell.

The reason why I bring up Ken Starr is he apparently forged documents from jury memebers saying that they wouldn't want the death penalty on Morales and when they interviewed the jury members in question they claim they said no such thing during Morales clemency hearing.

Now here is why I bring this up. Someone had to get to the anesthesiologists who were supposed to inject Morales pulled out at the last minute causing the delay. I realize it's speculation but who else has a vested interest in Morales living? Just a question no more no less.

Conspiracy Theories

http://www.thinkprogress.org/

It's funny. There were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. That's a proven fact that he never had them wasn't getting them but those on the right won't admit that they made a mistake. From my favorite Bill O'Reilly and a guest yesterday:

O’REILLY: What do you believe happened?

MCINERNEY: Well, I believe that — that [Saddam Hussein] had [WMD] and then the Russians convinced him, because they sent a team in, a Spetsnaz [Russian Special Forces] team in, and they moved those weapons into three locations in Syria and one into Bekaa Valley. And they did it very thoroughly. They were very professional. They were Spetsnaz with GRU. They knew exactly where all the material was, because they were preventing the inspectors from finding it. And then they had a brilliant what they call mass deroka – deception - campaign. When the Iraqi survey group didn’t find anything, then they spread throughout the capitals of Europe and the U.N: “See, there were no WMD.”

O’REILLY: So you believe that the Russians themselves moved the WMD’s?

MCINERNEY: Absolutely, absolutely.

Just admit that Bush screwed up already. And his screwup murdered over 2000 troops, countless Iraqis and accomplished nothing.

Quid Pro Quo or conflict of interest

http://rawstory.com/news/2005/Bush_nominated_executive_from_Dubai_port_0221.html

So Bush nominated an executive of the Dubai Port Company (you know the company that will, if Bush gets his way which he always does, take over the operations of 6 major ports in the United States) to Maritime Administrator a key transportation appointment reporting directly to Norman Mineta the Secretary of Transportation and Cabinet Member.

So this person works for the Dubai Port Company and Bush wants him working in the administration.. Hmm is it me or is that a conflict of interest like having Halliburton control most of the contracts in Iraq and having the Vice President formerly on the board. Oh wait that happened too didn't it?

The Olympics

I keep hearing the question why are the olympics doing so badly in the ratings. I think the answer is two-fold.

First the fact is most of us can find out what happens in the olympics before they are televised. Takes the suprise out of things.

Second is logistics. Problem is no live events. It's tied in to above but that has a lot to do with it.

I love the olympics (except curling but that's another story) and I watch what I can when I can but I understand that if you have the results it's not fun.

Does he think we are stupid

I'd like to talk about a quote from Sen. Orrin Hatch (R) Utah. He said the following on Saturday "Nobody denies that [Saddam Hussein] was supporting al-Qaeda…Well, I shouldn’t say nobody. Nobody with brains."

So according to him the 9/11 "doesn't have brains" when they found the following:"The Sept. 11 commission reported yesterday that it has found no “collaborative relationship” between Iraq and al Qaeda, challenging one of the Bush administration’s main justifications for the war in Iraq.

He said that to The St. George (UTah) Daily Spectrum.

I mean come on now we know Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11 everyone knows that except the right-wingers and their sheep that follow them.

The only people that are brain dead are the right-wingers.

A question

I'm not one for conspiracy theories and I'm not saying this is but I always find convenience interesting. Here's what I mean.

You know the bad PR the Bush Administration has been getting. Now I just pose a question: If Cheney would NOT have shot his friend last weekend what would we/I be talking about?

I would have talked about Scooter Libby saying his "superiors" ordered him to leak the name of Valerie Plame and who his superiors are (Dick Cheney, George Bush)

I would have talked more about the port deal and how tragic it's going to be to have the United Arab Emerits control 6 major ports in the United States even though the UAE has ties to terrorists and 9/11.

I would have talked about the illegal wiretaping and how the Senate killed an inquiry because the republicans like Frist who said the following(Courtesy of thinkprogress) FRIST: I believe the program – I know the program is constitutional – that it is legal – and Sen. DeWine (Ohio) ou know, there’s been some controversy about whether or not this program is legal or is not legal. I think we need to get beyond that. And the vast majority of American people believe these calls need to be listened to. But we don’t want to have any kind of debate about whether it’s constitutional or not constitutional. So I think we need to put that beyond us.

I also would have talked about the release of photo's from Guantanamo of the torture and the photos with Bush and Abramoff.

That's what we would have been talking about. Again I'm not saying anything beyond what this was which was a stupid act on Cheney's part but again with all that's going on surrounding the illegalities of the Bush Administration well distractions needed to be had.

Typical Right Wing Response

It's so typical for the right. There are two letters in the Los Angeles Daily News today turning what Dick Cheney did last week to an attack on something Ted Kennedy, a democrat, did at least 30 years ago.

Talking about living in the past. No charges were brought up on Sen. Kennedy (no charges also against Cheney) but this is why Sen. Kennedy can and will not run for President just so you know.

Cheney has got away with murdering over 2000 of our troops mind you and has got away with this embarrasment for our country.

Fair and balanced huh?

O'Reilly's Column

For anyone new to my website it's usually a Sunday tradition for me to counteract Bill O'Reilly's column in the Los Angeles Daily News and today is no exception.

He talks about a movie he's never seen and never will Brokeback Mountain. The movie about gay cowboys. Now keep in mind (just to throw the disclaimer) I also have not seen the movie nor does it interest me. Not for the reasons that Bill O'Reilly states (which I will get into) but for the same reason I normally am not interested in that genre of a movie. I'm more into Comedies and action and sci-fi picks myself. O'Reilly is homophobic (like most of the right-wing media) and is not going to go to the movie for that reason.

He also seems to talk about what the Clint Eastwood(very conservative) character in the movie "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" would do if he came across the leads in the movie in reference to Eastwood characters shoot first ask questions later.

He also wonders why movies like Star Wars and Harry Potter weren't nominated dispite being the highest grossing movies of the year. Well just to remind Mr. O'Reilly that with few exceptions (Lord of the Rings, Gladiator most recently) those types of movies hardly win Academy Awards. It's usually the dramas that do.

Guys like him really need to change their world view for society to change.

A good idea?

In yet another genius move by the Bush Administration http://www.thinkprogress.org/
they have outsourced the operation of 6 ports (New York,New Jersey, Baltimore, New Orleans, Miami and Philadelphia to the United Arab Emerets.

Just a few facts about them:

– The UAE was one of three countries in the world to recognize the Taliban as the legitimate government of Afghanistan.

– The UAE has been a key transfer point for illegal shipments of nuclear components to Iran, North Korea and Lybia.

– According to the FBI, money was transferred to the 9/11 hijackers through the UAE banking system.

– After 9/11, the Treasury Department reported that the UAE was not cooperating in efforts to track down Osama Bin Laden’s bank accounts.

So at least according to me, it would seem that this might actually lead to more terrorists in this country but maybe that's what Bush wants. Maybe he wants another attack here so he can show he's doing something cause he failed so miserably on 9/11 and he failed so miserably in getting the person responsible for 9/11 (Osama, not Saddam). I hope I'm wrong on that statement but why else would you help them?

What's News

I wanna shoot from the hip tonight after what's happened the past couple of days.

You see I feel what Cheney did is news and important news in that. Normally when one person shoots another if it's not reported to the police that's one crime (which he didn't report it right away) also when you drink and take medication (as Cheney is doing) that's another case of neglgence. When most people shoot other people (accident or not) they are charged with a variety of crimes including assault, assault with a deadly weapon, wreckless endangerment, voluntary and/or involuntary manslaughter, attempted murder and if death occurs murder. But because this is by-god Dick Cheney I'm supposed to say nothing?

That's what bothers me about Robert and the right-wingers like him. YOu know what would have happened if this was any prominant Democrat? There would have been calls for that person's head on a platter by right-wing controlled media like CNN FOX MSNBC.

It just goes to show how corrupt the righties are and blinded by their power. This administration breaks laws daily (starting with the war in Iraq, the outing of Valerie Plame and wiretapping and I can continue) and no outcry from the alleged liberal media.

That's really why I started this site. To have a fair change of views so people, whether they agree or not (right Robert)to have a forum to discuss their views.

When I see Robert post "I'm gettting angry" at me for posting what I think and feel and what is news well I guess I shouldn't be suprised because his views represent that of the party that wants to squash free speech.

I guess what I'm saying it's up to you. Always feel free to engage and discuss anthing with me for what I post whether you agree or disagree however if you disagree with me you better come up with facts because you know I have mine.

Keep in mind I post what I feel is relevant and what I feel is news.

Good to Know

http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/story?section=local&id=3913720

I see FEMA doesn't have a plan to deal with something we in Los Angeles (as well as other major cities in the U.S.) are due for and that's a major earthquake. I would think after the Katrina disaster think would change but obviously not.

Your tax dollars at work.

Good in Theory

The mayor of Los Angeles Antonio Villarigosa wants to extend our subway from downtown Los Angeles to the Santa Monica area at a cost of approx $4.8 Billion dollars. A good idea I use the subway as often as possible not sure how it's fairing otherwise but if it would help to ease our disasterous traffic situation here.

I have a couple of questions though: Why didn't he extend the subway in the San Fernando Valley out to where I live instead of that stupid busway and if he builds it to the sea from downtown would it be extended after that? Like say either north to Malibu or south to LAX?

To Sum up

To sum up the activities over the past few days for Dick Cheney:

1) He was hunting without a proper license

2) He was drinking while hunting

3) He shot someone

4) The public isn't notified about this (as we should be by the activities of our selected leaders, as we had to be notified about Clinton's sex life)

6) The Sheriff isn't notified for 12 hours after the shooting

7) Cheney admits screwing up but doesn't apologize

If there is something I'm missing let me know but it sounds like the following happened:

It was at the least wreckless endangerment at most involuntary manslaughter.

Since it's the V.P. no charges will be filed (but I think he could be sued for damages) while most people would be thrown in jail.

Something Missing

Something was missing from the "interview" of Cheney and that was an apology. He accepted responsibility but did not apologize.

He had alcohol

So in this softball interview with Brit Hume on Fox Cheney said he had "a beer" during lunch in his hunting trip.

Now that adds a whole new view to this huh? Beer impairs judgement. Even one.

Oops

http://www.palmbeachpost.com/celebrities/content/local_news/epaper/2006/02/15/a2a_josecol_0215.html

Ann Coulter, another favorite on this site who has said she would kill Bill Clinton, apparently doesn't know how to vote.

Records show when she voted in Palm Beach last week for their council elections, she went to the wrong pricinct and had the wrong address listed.

Ladies and gentlemen that's a felony. I bet since she's a republican she won't get charged though.

Even more on Cheney

Fox (big shock) is going to have an interview with Cheney today. Wonder what softball, pre-screened questions they are going to ask about the shooting?

More on Cheney

The shooting backfired and turned into an embarassment for the administration because of their own doing. That's why this will continue to be news instead of dying off as it would have for the following reason:

First they don't report(disclose) the shooting til close to 24 hours after it happened which makes it look like more then it was and the people are already suspicious on past cover-ups for the Bush Administration.

Second when the gentlemen Cheney shot had a heart attack yesterday Scott McClellan knew it happened prior to his press briefing and didn't say it at that time which again makes the administration look like it's covering it up.

That's why I don't even believe it was accidental really if you take a look at this.

When Things Will Change in the Middle East

I had this conversation at work with my boss and he's right at least I think about this. Might be one of the few things we agree on politically but when he's right he's right.

We were talking about the middle east and what will bring peace and we have the same conclusion: What will bring peace in the middle east is when families decide they love each other more then they hate Israel.

I mean we are talking about people who send their children to die and they claim they will be martyr's but we know where they go and it aint upstairs.

To me that's what's got to change in the middle east.

An Update

Just so you know the gentlemen who Cheney shot had a heart attack because of this. He is recovering.

An opinion please

I'd like to talk a bit seriously for a change about something that happened between my family and myself over the weekend. My sister has 3 kids. Two of them are 10 years old the other 6. I find she's leaving them home alone for short periods of time. One of the kids has cancer (thankfully responding well to treatment so far). I mean how am I supposed to act? It's illegal to do that. Anything can happen (I tried to remind her about Polly Klasp, Jon Bonet Ramsey and Elizabeth Smart among others) and yet I'm the one who gets bitched at. What's wrong with this. I advised people get arrested for this.

I mean what should I do? I won't stand for this but the fallout of what would happen if I called the police would be extremely severe. I tried to be calm but I do let my temper get the best of me cause I don't want anything to happen to the kids. I just don't know what to do right now with this.

Charges with Cheney

With the "accidental" shooting involving Dick Cheney over the weekend shouldn't charges be brought up against him like involuntary manslaughter like they would if it was me? Shouldn't he at least have his hunting licsence taken away? Just wondering.

Odd Views (What else is new)

After reading Bill O'Reilly's column in today's Los Angeles Daily News I really wonder how his thought process works (or doesn't not quite sure).

He's rambling today on the Christian religion and how they have been "insulted" as of late because of their views. He says they are called (this is his quote) "oppresive" by the so-called liberal media.

I mean if you really wanna take a look at history of the Christian religion we can go back as far as the crusades to see how they force their views on the world. But I won't cause frankly you don't want a history lesson.

Problem is today. For instance what makes christianity seem so horrible is representatives like Bill O'Reilly. You wanna know what I mean? You can go to the joke of a "war" on Christmas like he rambled on last year. When I think of a war I think of the disaster like we have in Iraq right now (which I think is also a war on religion more then anything) and not a war on the most holy days of all. But that's me.

But we can also talk about the christian rights views on life (you have to be born whether you are wanted or not) death (no help ever if you are terminally ill RE Terry Schivo) gay marriage (they are opposed no matter what) and I can go on. They have got to change their views in general on society and except that their way isn't the only way.

But that's my view.

One more thing about the budget

Despite all the cuts on the budget we are still have a record defecit (according to thinkprogress who has the link) of 726 BILLION dollars.

Nice fiscal responsibility huh?

Do you believe him?

Did anyone catch the BS story Bush told about preventing an Al Queda attack here in Los Angeles yesterday? If this actually did happen which I completely doubt since we all know this president lies everytime he speaks, wouldn't you let the public know immediately? I know I would if it was the truth.

Anyone who believes that story is ignorant and stupid.

Liberal LA TImes

I'd like to talk today about Jonah Goldberg's column in the allegedly liberal LA Times. He is claiming how the Democrats are in disaray and the only proof he is stating on this is an exchange of emails between Barrack Obmama (D, Ill.) which questioned (godforbid) John McCain's (R, Ariz.) commitment to ethics reforms and the shots (deservedly in my opinion) taken at George Bush during the funeral for Coretta Scott King.

I realize Goldberg, like most republicans are in denial about there own party. I think he (as well as the others who are in denial) needs to be reminded about the current leadership there.

Tom DeLay (R) currently under indictment for illegal campaign contributions

Bill Frist (R) under investigation for insider trading

Scooter Libby (R) (Cheney's Chief of Staff) under indictment for his part on the leaking of Valerie Plame

Karl Rove (R) (Bush's Brain allegedly) under investigation for the Plame leak

Jack Abramoff naming names with all he has given illegal contribtuions to Republicans (including being a Ranger giving over $100,000 to George W. Bush)

Yet the democrats are in disaray.

Sounds like the republicans are doesn't it?

Olympics

With the Winter Olympics just days away and while I'm really looking forward to it I was wondering if someone out there can explain curling to me because I just don't understand it and why it gets so much coverage. Thanks

Weather

It's February and it's 90 degrees here in Southern California. Last time I specifiacally remember it being this warm this time of year we had the Northridge Earthquake. I hope especially with this administration we don't have an encore cause we know we will be on our own especially after Kartrina.

retalliation??

In ratalliation for the cartoons done by Danish newspapers about the Msulim profit Mohammed an Iran newspaper is going to print a cartoon about Hitler and Anne Frank. Isn't that like being attacked by Afghanastan and Saudi Arabia and invading Iraq? Oh yeah that happened didn't it?

Monday, February 06, 2006

A question

I have a question regarding illegal immigration-

In California most of our illegal immigrites are from Mexico, same as Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and other states. My question is this: Why can't our attorney general sue the country of Mexico, President Vicente Fox and try to recoup some of if not all of the loses is revenue that the illegal immigrates are costing taxpayers?

Just wondering if that is possible or not.

Headlines

Just looking at the headlines quickly I noticed a few things.

Alberto Gonzales lied to congress but wasn't under oath and since it's a republican that's ok.

White House still refuses to discuss the relationship between Jack Abramoff and the President which means it was huge.

The White House is continuing to push for drilling in the Alaskan Wildlife reserve.

I couldn't make heads or tails of the budget but that's the story no matter who's President all I know is with Bush though is the budget cuts programs that benefit the middle class and pour and the upper class get richer.

Back

Hey I just got back from Lost Wages(Las Vegas) and obviously I missed quite a bit of information. Once I get caught up (300 emails to go through and not to mention finding out what I missed what's going on in the world) but I should be back going tomorrow.

I see we now have 4000 hits on my site and I just as always want to say thank you for coming and I hope whether you agree with what I say or disagree you continue to come.

Taking a break

Just so you know there won't be any posts from tomorrow through monday I am taking a well deserved vacation in Las Vegas.

An intersting question

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10990868/

Is black history month still relevent? That's the question asked at that link. I don't feel I'm racist in anyway ask my friends they will hopefully say the same so I hope what I'm about to say isn't taken the wrong way by anyone.

To me I'm not sure. I always felt I'm someone who has had an interest in all history. History of my religion being jewish, history of christianity, history of all colors and races black, white, hispanic, etc. and have for a long time wondered why is one groups history more important then the other?

Now don't get me wrong I know the atrocities committed against the black people during slavery and the civil rights battles of the 50s and 60's(although again I can never know how that feels and will never claim to know that) but every religion has had attrocities like for instances Jewish people and the holocaust.

History is something we should all learn and understand so hopefully mistakes and tragedies of the past won't happen again but it's tough to say if one group or religions history is more important then the other.

Dependent on oil?

Two things struck me funny last night when Bush said we need to be less dependent on foreign oil.

1) Does he think America is that stupid not to realize how much money he and his family has made on domestic and foreign oil?

2) Does this mean he will try again to get drilling in the Alaskan National Wildlife Reserve?

If Bush wasn't Bush he would use this to find ways to find alternatives to oil. But we know what's coming don't we?

Snake Bit

Two more deaths in West Virginia mines occured on Wed. prompting the West Virginia government to cease all mining until safety inspections happened.

Talk about bad luck.

Democracy in Name Only?

Bush likes to talk about democracy and how it's speading. Now anyone who has read this site since day one (or close to it) knows how I support Isreal. They had elections in Palestine and the terrorist organization (at least that's how we know them) Hamas now controls the parliment.

Question is how serious Bush wants democracy in the Middle East. If he is serious he will try to find a way to work with them. If he is not he will have them removed like he did in Iraq and Haiti. And what he is going to try to do in Iran.

Key Points

While I can say every word Bush said in the lie of the union was a lie and I can prove it I'd like to talk about a couple of specific issues on what Bush said and lied about.

Bush said "Each of us has made a pledge to be worthy of public responsibility – and that is a pledge we must never forget, never dismiss, and never betray.”

What reality is is Bush has not cooperated in the Abramoff investigation Bush has not cooperated in the Katrina investigation Bush has not cooperated in the Cia leak investigation Bush has close ties to Republicans who are under indictment such as Abramoff such as Scooter Libby.

So there goes that theory.

Another thing Bush said “Keeping America competitive requires us to be good stewards of tax dollars.”

Again what reality is is that we CURRENTLY have record deficits we and with the tax cuts he wants to make pernament it will worsen the deficit. If that is what good stewards means I must have a different view.

One more thing he talked about not wanting to be isolationalists he didn't mention how his policies have created that. His missile shield that didn't work (and that has been every president since Reagan) his policies that are anti-enviroment his refusal to sign the Kyotal Protocal. Those things created the reason why we are the most hated nation in the world.
