I give this link cause a couple weeks prior he was knocked out of a  game after a hit to the head and suffered amnesia. Now if this has anything to do with what happened we won't know. But there have been several players who have had concussions who have killed themselves.

What are the solutions.

Normally you look at players who suffer injuries and they are given their jobs back once they are healed. Lately, that has changed. If you look at both Alex Smith and Michael Vick, both qb's weren't given their jobs back after suffering injuries. That will have players worrying and not identifying when they are seriously hurt. That is a mistake.

What is the NFL's and NFLPA's responsibility? It is both of their responsibilities to make sure their players are safe. Safe and healthy. Problem is you obviously can't take hitting out of the game. If there is any question the players should be examined immediately BY INDEPENDENT DOCTORS. Not team employed doctors.

The NFL has let this go on for too long. Unless stricter measures are taken to protect the players, we might have to (I know how the right will feel) have a Government come in. The NFL is fully capable with the billions of dollars that come in to hire independent people, but to this point they are choosing not to.

It begins again

I'm not a religious person. If you think religion is the answer for you I say go for it. It's not for me. No one chooses a path for me I am responsible for my own actions.

Every year I get amused by the phony outrage by conservatives who claim there is a "war" on Christmas. There isn't. It's simply a choice by stores and people who choose to be all inclusive because, last I checked, there are several holidays in December.

Taking a look

I'm not defending Zimmerman but let's take a look at a few facts here.

First off. I understand why people are pissed. Trust me there is every right to be. How would anyone feel if that was there son being shot for just walking around. We have a guy who sounds racist on the 911 tapes, who has made several calls to 911 and decided to take matters in his own hands. Those are facts.

Sadly though, according to Florida law, there has been no crime committed. The law states if you feel threatened, even though the cops told Zimmerman not to follow him and he CHOSE to, you can legally shoot someone FOR ANY REASON. You can look at someone wrong and be shot. That is how the law is written.

That being said with Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton in the like instead of protesting in the town in Florida where the tragic incident took place, they need to protest AND SUE the likes of those responsible for bringing the law about so this tragedy could take place. That's the only way true change can happen.

So I haven't made much comments on the murder of Travon Martin other then when it first happened. I've always said you want to hold people accountable affect their wallet. There was an op ed piece in the Los Angeles Times saying it would be extremely foolish for Israel to attack Iran.

As I said I think it's inevitable with war with Iran. I do. I think if Iran is developing nuclear weapons Israel would be right to attack them. However I hope Israel weighs the consequences of such an attack. By treaty the United States will defend Israel and we would be right to do so. I just hope cooler head avail right now but I don't think so cause if Israel attacks Iran before an actual threat all bets are off and any ounce of goodwill Israel has in the region will be gone and World War 3 will begin.

Good and Bad

I'd like to make a comment on the assassination of the Iranian scientist who was working on their Nuclear program. Really it's both good and bad and here is why.

First if they are building nuclear weapons, that isn't a good thing. So far the indications are they aren't but that doesn't mean we know everything that is going on in that strange country.

That being said whoever is behind that well if it's the United States, Israel or whoever, that is an act of War. And I realize the Chickenhawk Republicants want that, but really that would united a region against us and that is something frankly we don't need.

So the suspect in the murders of a few homeless people is an Iraqi veteran. It's really sad they were put into such horrible conditions (thanks to Republicant Bush) that they are left so scared. Truth to the saying war is hell. I really hope studies are done on the soldiers.

Listening to the Republicant address today touting the Keystone oil pipeline, Senator John Hoeven said that if the oil pipeline isn't built the oil will go to China or other countries.

I wonder if he knows the following: This is not a United States owned company, it's a Canadian Company who wants to use our land in the United States. We have no say where the oil will go to. The Canadian Company has the say what country the oil will go to based on the money they will receive.

Unless the Canadian Company GUARANTEES the United States gets A MAJORITY of the oil, then this is a bad deal.

But then again Rick Perry forgot Canada is a foreign country to begin with.

What I would like

I say guns should be outlawed. I know that will not happen cause of what is interpreted (wrongly) in the constitution by nuts like the NRA. Really though simple rules could be enforced which might make the stupid senseless shootings decrease:

A) Strictest background checks should be conducted for ANYONE attempting to purchase a gun. I mean thorough thorough thorough. Any questions permit is denied

B) Strictest training for those who seek to purchase guns BEFORE they are allowed to take the gun home.

C) Strictest safety measures for those who own guns to make sure they are only used if they have to

D) Strictest PENALTIES for those who use guns. I'm saying minimum life in prison and I'm a firm supporter of the death penalty.
