We Lose

A few months back I posted about the de-regulation of the cable industry and, like all Republican ideas about de-regulation, fail miserably. Now I bring to you the latest proof on how consumers lose when industries aren't watched. For those of us forced with monopolized Time Warner (which is always the result of de-regulation, monopolies) we are about to lose all our Fox broadcasts (while I don't mind losing Fox News since I don't watch that garbage I do watch other networks from them) because they are arguing over fees. So as always the consumer is getting screwed cause even when they resolve their differences we will either be without Fox or get higher fees. Republicans de-regulation will never work and I have examples that prove I'm right more then you do.

Year End

I decided to give my year end idiot of the year award. There are so many candidates it's not funny but the winner truly defines the spirit of the award. Runners up include Sarah Palin, John McCain, Rush, Bill O Idiot but the winner is

The Tea Party Movement

Keep in mind they really don't understand what the Boston Tea Party is but I remember attenting a rally (and being escorted out) and just asking simple questions and being able to tell them their placement of anger is completely wrong. For instance

The Deficit. Democrats had a balanced budget REPUBLICANS under George Bush ran it up. Deomcrats when they were in charge of the country had a BUDGET SURPLUS. But that didn't stop them.

Taxes. To this point taxes haven't gone up in fact I'm getting more on my paycheck (not much) and so did everyone I ask. Again misplaced anger

Bank Bailouts. That was BUSH'S IDEA. Not Democrats.

So their main reasons at the first protest are all created by Republicans yet they are blaming Democrats. They are hypocrites and clearly the idiots of the year.

A Tradition

Every Christmas I always find a copy of the yes Virginia there is a Santa Claus letter. Here we go

"DEAR EDITOR: I am 8 years old.
"Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus.
"Papa says, 'If you see it in THE SUN it's so.'
"Please tell me the truth; is there a Santa Claus?

"VIRGINIA O'HANLON.
"115 WEST NINETY-FIFTH STREET."

VIRGINIA, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except [what] they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Virginia, whether they be men's or children's, are little. In this great universe of ours man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.

Yes, VIRGINIA, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus. It would be as dreary as if there were no VIRGINIAS. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.

Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas Eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if they did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that's no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world.

You may tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, VIRGINIA, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.

No Santa Claus! Thank God! he lives, and he lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and if you celebrate a Happy Kwanzaa

Rating Obama

So I guess this is the time of year where President Obama is going to be rated on his first year. I guess I will do the same.

Where he gets good grades:

International. The nightmare policies that were done by the idiot Bush are a thing of the pass. Thank god. Obama is trying to erase the idiot's crap ideas like torture, holding people without trials for as long as they want and the things that made us the most hated nation in the world. Grade B

Domestic:
Stock Market. Grade: A. He turned around that aspect of the economy. His policies worked it unlike the previous 2 administrations that killed regulation which never works when you de-regulate something cause companies won't police themselves.

Jobs. Grade: C. We are in a crisis. Again due to a major part of the last administration it is still up to Obama to fix the mess he inherited. I won't say he failed but he sure hasn't improved anything.

Gas Prices. Grade: D. I always attacked Bush for hi gas prices and I don't say that enough about Presdient Obama. What happened to that windfall profits tax on the oil companies? Why are we also not hearing from the media about the profits from the oil companies like we did under Bush.

Control over congress and senate. Grade: D. Democrats have the majority but don't act like it. In fact we act like children. As much as Bush is an idiot when he had both the House and the Senate they followed him to the point where we are now. Obama has no control.

Overall my grade for the first year for President Obama would be C+. There is room for improvement but he inherited a huge mess from the previous administration.

Idiot of the week

http://videocafe.crooksandliars.com/david/mccain-blames-obama-partisan-climate

You gotta love Republicans. Unlike what Robert claimed about how conservativism is about taking responsibility (which is the biggest bunch of crap I ever heard) they are ONLY about blaming other people. The latest earns our idiot of the week.

Insane John McCain on False News actually blamed President Obama for no bipartisanship in Washington. Even though on many many occasions the Presidient has reached out to Republicans only to have his face spat at. Republicans even voted against the troops recently as a further insult to the President. Yeah who is really not showing any bipartisan? YOU insane John McCain and YOU Republicans. You are the party of NO IDEAS and NO CLUE and YOU are the idiot of the week. You should also have this award in general for torturing us with Sarah Palin!

Not a bad choice but

I see Associated Press named Tiger Woods athlete of the decade. You can't deny his dominance on and off the golf course (Wilt Chamberlin would be proud) but I can think of a few athletes more deserving and more dominant and who play tougher sports then Tiger:

Roger Federer
Michael Phelps
Kobe Bryant
Tom Brady

I feel all of them deserve the award more then Tiger Woods.

More the same

http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09067/954035-28.stm

I find it funny I've been doing some research and the Republicans have been using the same words to describe President Obama (marxist, facist) as they did against the new deal and FDR. It's really pathetic actually. Just further shows how small they are using the same attacks for 80 years.

Idiot of the week

http://swampland.blogs.time.com/2009/12/04/tennessee-mayor-accuses-barack-obama-of-hating-on-charlie-brown-peanuts/

This is a pure gem and easy choice for idiot of the week. It shows the ignorance and utter racism against President Obama. I present Mayor Rick Wiseman (R) of Arlington, Tennesse:

"

Ok, so, this is total crap, we sit the kids down to watch 'The Charlie Brown Christmas Special' and our muslim president is there, what a load.....try to convince me that wasn't done on purpose. Ask the man if he believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and he will give you a 10 minute disertation (sic) about it....w...hen the answer should simply be 'yes'....you obama people need to move to a muslim country...oh wait, that's America....pitiful."

Then it gets even more pathetic:

"you know, our forefathers had it written in the original Constitution that ONLY property owners could vote, if that has stayed in there, things would be different"

So 1st even though he's shown he IS NOT A MUSLIM this idiot who represents the REPUBLICAN PARTY is way off. At least in California the Charlie Brown Christmas special was SHOWN LAST WEEK. I realize Tennessee is a backwards state but that's when it was shown here. Second he says what so many Republicans have been saying without being called out on and that's what I really find disgusting. There are no questions where he's from there are no questions that was an important speech ( Yes I would say that if that was Bush too cause I've always supported the war to get Bin Laden) third if the idiot was that concerned about Charlie Brown Christmas it IS on DVD or since again it is Tennesee VCR so it's easily obtainable. So congrats Rick Wiseman you are the idiot of the week.

3 options

I'm going to give Tiger Woods 3 options when he eventually comes back for his apology tour. 3 talk shows that will help for different reasons:

Oprah. She will give a sympothetic ear to him. She will give ratings and the softball questions that will allow him to be sympothetic.

Jay Leno. He has a history with Hugh Grant after his affairs. It will be a huge boost to his show as well which definately needs one

David Letterman. He is currently in the same situation as Tiger. No one currently would know what questions to ask better then him.

Tiger will come back as I said and eventually will have to face the media as much as he doesn't want to. He can't hide forever from this.

Best of

Everyone knows I'm a big sports fan. So I figure with the decade coming to a close I'm going to start with a best of players in each decade. Mind you this is my opinion and I would like to get others of you agree or disagree. I'm going to start with Major League Baseball (and yes there are probably going to be guys accused or suspended of steroids)

C Jorge Posada
1b Albert Pujols
2b Chase Utley
3b Alex Rodriguez
SS Derek Jeter
LF Manny Ramirez
CF Torii Hunter
RF Ichiro
SP Roy Haladay
Rp Trevor Hoffman

I'll do a sport a week

A Great Idea

http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/protect-marriage-protect-children-prohibit-divorce

I heard about a great idea for those who are against gay marriage who claim it would ruin the "sanctity of marriage". This link goes to a petition that would make divorce illegal. For those who are against gay marriage you should absolutely sign this. But oh yeah you are hypocrites aren't you?

More proof

http://rawstory.com/news/afp/World_s_hottest_decade_adds_to_pres_12082009.html

So this is the official hottest decade on record. I know it's cold here in L.A. but I've always said that if we can do something about this now instead of ignoring global warming isn't it our responsibility to do that instead of dumping it off on future generations or waiting til global warming becomes a major problem?

At Their Best

http://www.politico.com/blogs/glennthrush/1209/Reid_compares_health_care_foes_to_slavery_supporters.html

So we have Harry Reid. He compared those who oppose healthcare reform to those who opposed freeing the slaves. Over the top admittedly but as always it sends the right into a hissy fit as always. Nevermind how many of these hypocrites have said that if healthcare reform happens they will "pull the plug" on grandma and grandpa and "death panels" nevermind how many times the RIGHT has used comparisons to slavery on issues they believe in. You want examples:

http://mediamatters.org/research/200912070036

As always the right wing wants it both ways. They prove yet again they are hypocrites.

Idiot of the week

It was a tough call for idiot of the week. I wanted to give it to Pete Carroll again because he learned a lesson about karma on Saturday but I decided to give to the following:

Michelle Malkin
http://crooksandliars.com/david-neiwert/dear-michelle-malkin-here-are-some-o

You see she goes out of her way to blame liberals for the shootings of the police officers in Washington. There is only one person this should fall on and that is Mike Huckabee. Remember the suspect was in jail in Arkansas serving a 95 year sentence when Huckabee commuted his sentence. If he was still in jail where he deserved to be those for police officers would still be alive today. If conservatives are about responsibility as has often been claimed on this site (yes I'm going to use that as often as possible) responsibility should be on Huckabee and him alone. Michelle Malkin you are clearly the idiot of the week!

Tiger

I waited for awhile to speak about Tiger Woods. It's funny he is asking for privacy and to be left alone with his affairs (pun intended). I don't like that fact. He is in the public eye and uses the media whenever it suits his advantage but since he messed up all the sudden he wants to be left alone. He can't have it both ways. He messed up and is now being tried in hte court of public opinion.

If he is worried he should look at Kobe Bryant. He raped someone but still is playing in the NBA and has the best selling jersey in the NBA. So fans will support him no matter what he does as in this case.

The worse part is the other players in the PGA who are going to be hounded with questions regarding this when really unless Tiger confides in them they really won't know or care what happened.

Sorry Tiger you are a public figure and your life will be treated as such.

What I saw

So I got at least to a point what I wanted to hear last night. I heard a plan, and most importantly I heard an exit stragedy. Good now I want to hear how it will all be paid for.

One more thing I would love to see ANY so-called journalist who has Dick Cheney on ask why do you attack President Obama when if you and Bush had a plan we wouldn't be where we are today in this nightmare? Also why would he accuse Obama of wanting to cut and run in Afghanistan when Cheney did it not once but twice? Why isn't the so-called liberal media asking him that.

Tuesday, December 01, 2009

Huckabee Murders

So the person who killed the four cops in Washington State was fatally wounded this morning. This has a direct relation to former and future Republican Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee as he is the person who is responsible for their deaths as the shooter was serving a 95 year sentence in Arkansas but had his sentence commuted by Huckabee. Good job you are responsible for four murders.

Questions

So I will ask what I asked Bush when he escalated the troops in Iraq the same questions to President Obama for Afghanistan

What is the mission
What is the exit stragedy

Bush never gave the answers I hope Obama does.

Idiot of the Week

There were surprisingly many choices for the idiot of the week this week but since this is an all-topics website believe it or not I'm going to give it to a couple of people. USC Coach Pete Carroll and LA Times Sportwriter Bill Plaschke.

First Pete Carroll. I would not have a problem with you getting that late touchdown against UCLA. I really wouldn't except the fact that you were whining when Stanford did the exact same thing to you a few weeks ago. I'm sorry you are a complete hypocrite for that.

Now Plaschke. In your writeup for the game you said how wrong it was for Rick Neuheisul to call a timeout when USC was downing the ball. You have timeouts and if you can get the ball back as unlikely and impossible as it was to catch up you have to try and hope for a complete miracle.

Congrats to Bill Plaschke and Pete Carroll you are the idiots of the week

What should be done

With my post about the horrible religious attacks on President Obama I guess what I would like to see done more then anything (and I don't care if it's Al Sharpton or Pat Robertson) is anyone who claims to be any religious organization should have their tax exempt status removed. That is how you eliminate the problem.

Monday, November 23, 2009

Idiots of the week

I got a double shot of the idiot of the week award. First to the Bensalem, Pa. Police department. They actually arrested a couple for refusing to leave a tip in a resturant there because of incredibly poor service there. Rediculous.

http://www.breitbart.tv/pa-couple-arrested-for-refusing-to-pay-tip-for-terrible-service/

Second is to yours truly. Me. That's right I'm not above saying that I'm an idiot. For the reason I thought yesterday's Detroit-Cleveland Football game was going to be horrible. Turns out it was one of the best games of the year. Ooops.

Not sure how much posting is going to be done this week. If not I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving and be safe.

More Cowardice

With the outrage from the Republicans for the KSM (I guess that's his name now) being put on trial in New York I guess we learned one thing: Republicans DO NOT believe in our justice system. The only way he would be let off in my view is if the judge feels any information received from him was done illegally by torture authorized by George Bush and Dick Cheney. Other then that he should be found guilty. But again even if he does walk by some fluke it's not like he would be set free in the United States so again I guess Republicans don't believe in our justice system.

Sick bastards

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=385x403386

Here is more proof on why I'm against religion (specifically the Christian Religion). There is a bumper sticker circulating around saying pray for Obama Psalm 109:8. For those (like me) who are not familliar with that (I looked it up) it reads the following: "Let his days be few And let another take his office." Followed by another verse "Let his children be fatherless and his wife be a widow."

Anyone caught with this needs to be arrested for making a death threat against the President. You are nothing but sick people.

Phony Outrage

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=Republican+President+bowing+to+leaders&btnG=Google+Search

It's funny how in a roar Republican hypocrite get about President Obama. The latest phony outrage is that Obama showed respect by bowing to foreign leaders. They calim how Republicans Presidents NEVER did the same thing. Well I hate to burst that LIE from them but that link shows Nixon doing the same thing. I've seen Bush doing the same thing and so many others. So do me a favor and either study something called facts or just SHUT UP!

How to fix it

So the unemployment rate is currently 10.2%. President Obama wants a "job summit" with big businesses. Keep in mind how this was inherited from the previous administration but as I've said many times it's up to the President to fix it. It's a very simple idea but here is what I feel should be done:

a) fine businesses a certain amount when they send jobs overseas that can be done in America for fair wages. I say for fair wages because we know why businesses send jobs overseas cause of cheap labor. Make the fines significant enough for businesses

b) reward businesses for keeping jobs in the U.S. I know I should might get some words for that but if businesses are punished for losing jobs they should be rewarded for gaining jobs.

That's how I feel will fix it.

Taking a stand

http://rawstory.com/2009/11/10-year-old-wont-say-pledge/

Where are the adults who aren't taking a stand on this? A 10 year old refuses to say the pledge of allegence until gay people are allowed to marry. Congrats he is my nominee for hero of the year.

Monday, November 16, 2009

Idiot of the week

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=Gulianni+2006+Terror+Trials&btnG=Google+Search

Congrats to former New York Mayor Rudy Guiliani you are the idiot of the week. The reason is how yesterday he lead the parade of Republicans agianst the trial of 9/11 suspect Muhammed in New York City claiming it made New York "less safe". What he is really saying is he doesn't believe in our justice system. Why do I say that I go back to 2006

http://crooksandliars.com/john-amato/rudy-giuliani-praised-terror-trial-2006

He was in favor of the trials back then of the first World Trade Center bobmings. Also every other major terror attacks that have been done the people have been tried and convicted. Republicans as I said don't believe in are justice system showing more and more they are cowards. Rudy Guliani you are the idiot of the week.

Decent Idea

http://www.examiner.com/x-23381-NY-Liberal-Examiner~y2009m11d13-DeMint-pushes-term-limit-amendment

I would like to give kudos to Jim Demint (R). That's right but one thing I consistantly say is if I hear something I like from a Republican as much as they deserve to be bashed they also deserve credit. So Demint is pushing an amendment that he feels will ease corruption in Washington by having Senators and Congresspeople have term limits. I really don't have a problem with that but really here is a better way to end corruption on all levels of Government:

Public Elections

The reason why there is so much corruption are big businesses are allowed to donate large amounts of money to these polititions (hence why there are huge issues with the healthcare bill among others) and once that stops corruption stops.

Wednesday, November 11, 2009

Why isn't this being talked about?

While the right naturally is using the Ft. Hood attacks to attack the Muslim faith (keep in mind I have no love for them at all either)
http://rawstory.com/2009/11/robertson-islam-not-religion/

Why isn't the media talking more about the fact the alleged shooter was being bullied by other members of the military? There were reports that he has had his car keyed all the way around and he had a bumber sticker about allah torn off and we know how in previous shootings the suspects were bullied. Really that should be talked and I feel if that the people who bullied him are suspects too.

Choices

I commented about this a while back and it's even more relevent now. You are seeing a purge in both parties right now and I'm not sure if it's the right thing. You are seeing Republicans get rid of moderates and Democrats trying to get rid of "blue dogs". Now I'm sure I'm being naive but shouldn't there be room for people of all view points in every party? Isn't that what a democracy is?

Monday, November 09, 2009

Idiot of the week

I decided after last week to make this award weekly. Why not. The criteria for this award is any memeber of Congress, Senate, The President, media, whoever who is just dumb, ignorant or both depending on the issue. At the end of the year I will give the idiot of the year award. This week is a tie for the simple reason: They are both elected to Congress and either didn't know the pledge or the difference between the constitution and the Declaration of Independence.

The winners are: John Boener of Ohio for not knowing Friday at the last attempt by Republicans to imtimidate Democrats against the House version of healthcare he said he was reading the Constitution when he actually read the Declaration of Indenpendence
http://www.politico.com/blogs/glennthrush/1109/Boehner_mixes_up_Constitution_and_Declaration.html

The co winner is Rep Tom Akin of Missouri for claiming a) the pledge of allegence "drives liberals crazy (which is false) and for b) forgetting a word. Who really knows what he had in mind but it's stupid and so is he.
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=+Name+of+Republican+Rep+forgetting+the+pledge+of+allegence&btnG=Search&aq=f&oq=&aqi=

Congrats to you both you are the co idiots of the week. You claim you are Americans but don't even know the basics.

Disgusting Acts

So these phony tea baggers protest were at it again in Washington D.C. They were protesting the healthcare bill that will pass congress over the next couple of days. What caught my eye was the most disgusting sign I saw covered on False News (Fox for those who are new here) that actually showed people killed in the holocaust saying that will happen if healthcare passes. Damn those psychopaths who really don't understand history. Damn anyone who supports them. You are the stupidest people in the world for NOT understanding the significance of the holocaust. Damn Fox News AND ANYONE for giving them a forum and not calling them out for the anti-semetic freaks they are.

Ft. Hood Shooting

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_fort_hood_shooting_suspect

So you have the tragedy at Ft. Hood yesterday (and the reason I didn't post about this yesterday is I have the luxury of waiting til some facts come out unlike the media who have to cover it live) and if you look at the suspect there were warnings. He posted favorably about suicide bombings which should have launched an immediate investigation from the FBI. This could have been preventable.

About Last Night

So what we are going to hear about the election last night from the right-wing media is how it was a vote against President Obama. If you look at the exit polls that I saw last night on ALL the channels is that will be a lie. The exit polls indicated that 57 % in Virginia said Obama had NOTHING TO DO WITH THEIR VOTE and that number was 60% in New Jersey. If you look at Virginia especially historically whatever party is in power in the White House they pick the oposite in the Gov.

What you won't hear from the Right Wing media is about the New York 23 congressional seat being taken by a Democrat for the first time since the Civil War. You won't hear about California 10th which was won by a Democrat for the first time in years as well. Especially NY 23rd though where Republicans started booting out moderates to vote for the "conservative" party candidate. It just shows the infighting involved in the Republican party right now.

However I will say this should serve as a wake up call for Democrats in one sense that they should not take 2010 lightly because you know the Republican nut jobs will be in force supporting the most extremest candidates out there. Be careful.

Monday, November 02, 2009

What an Idiot

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=Republican+Rep%2C+Roger+Godell%2C+Rush+Limbaugh+Hearings&btnG=Google+Search

I would like to point the idiot of the week to Rep. Stephen King(R, Ia). During a serious hearing about concussions in the NFL all he wanted to know is why Limbaugh was not allowed to own an NFL team. Luckily Goodell told him the truth which was it was none of his business. Stephen King you are an idiot.

Friday, October 30, 2009

My Point Exactly

I posted the other day how if this opt in opt out option for the states on healthcare should be left to the people of each state to vote upon cause too many pollititions will only look in their best interests instead of the peoples this is exactly what I mean:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=Kansas+Republicans+Healthcare&btnG=Google+Search

It already shows Republican polititions in Kansas preparing legislation to block healthcare reform. Thank you Kansas for proving me right.

Just Once

Just Once I would love to see someone ask former Vice President Cheney when he says how he kept America safe after 9/11 the following questions:

Weren't you supposed to keep America safe ON 9/11?
Why didn't you act on the Presidential Daily Briefing saying Bin Laden determined to strike against the United States that was given a month prior to the attacks?
Are we supposed to ignore the anthrax attacks that happened AFTER 9/11?
Why didn't you keep us safe from them?

But it's by god Dick Cheney and the right-wing media won't.

Phony Outrage

In hte latest phony outrage against President Obama the Republicans are attacking the fact that he is having people who donated money to his campaign over to events at the White House. My feeling is this: People should be rewarded for helping the President no matter who it is AS LONG AS there is no favors done like getting no bid contracts (like Cheney did for Halliburton). Another grasp at nothing by Republicans.

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-obama-donors29-2009oct29,0,3237886.story

Wednesday, October 28, 2009

Up to the People

So with the addition of the public option where each state could opt in or out of (since Republicans claim all the time they want state rights they should be pleased with this) instead of politions who have their own personal agenda it should be up to the people via vote. We know who I'm referring to regaring people with their own personal agenda (Pawlenty, Jindall, Perry among them). Leave it to the people. This isn't a game this is dealing with peoples lives.

How To Pay

So just wondering how to pay for healthcare I just want to throw a wild idea out there that really hasn't been talked about and should be considered: How about legalizing pot? That would generate all kinds of income. Just something to throw out there.

Catching Up

It's time baseball caught up with technology. I've never seen such horrible umpiring as I have this playoffs. Instant replay needs to be incorporated

Should Never EVER Happen

How bad are things regarding healthcare? I found an article where a 39 year old man has to enlist in the army to get heathcare for his wife who has cancer. He was out of work and couldn't afford the payments for insurance. If this is the best healthcare in the world as Republicans claim why should this EVER happen?

http://www.newser.com/story/72062/husband-enlists-to-get-wife-back-into-chemotherapy.html

It's about time someone calls these lunatics out on the right. Surprisingly it's Al Sharpton.

Apparently Rev. Sharpton is threatening to sue the drug addict Limbaugh over an op-ed he had this weekend accusing Shaprton for inciting two race riots in New York in the 90's. Funny how the druggie is so easy to accuse anyone for being a racist but it's the druggie who really is. Go Al I will help you with quotes from the druggie in any way I can.

Healthcare

I am again wondering why conservatives, who always preach competition, are against a public option in healthcare (and Democrats in name only). With Republicans always preaching how competition means lower prices this would be their chance to prove it but I guess since this helps average people (something they would know nothing about) that must be why they are against it. Everything that helps normal citizens they seem to be against.

What a joke

Today in the alleged liberal Los Angeles Times there is an op-ed piece from John Bolton. You know the former Bush idiot who he was at the U.N. . He calls President Obama "Indecisive and Weak" on foreign policy. Actually I disagree completely. He, contrary to his former boss Bush, wants something unfamilliar with Republicans called an INFORMED DECISION. He doesn't want to have a knee jerk reaction like they did and he wants something Republicans wouldn't know one if it fell on their laps and that is called a plan. Remember foreign policy under Bush was also shoot first shoot last and shoot all the time. That's why the world hated him.

Bolton is a major reason why we have had a nightmare of a foreign policy before and now that there is a refreshing change Bolton should just SHUT UP!

No One

http://mediamatters.org/blog/200910150007

Giving credit where it's due I'd say no one plays the victim better then Rush the drug addict. I posted the other day that I felt since he has the money he should be allowed to buy the Rams. He was rejected by the ownership group he was supposed to be a part of but that doesn't stop him. He blames everyone but the person ultimately responsible for his being dismissed from the group: Rush and his racist comments. It's really pathetic which is what he is. Pathetic.

Thursday, October 15, 2009

Where is the credit?

For those on the right who blamed the economic nightmare on Obama even though Bush was in charge when it happened I was wondering now that the dow broke 10,000 for the first time since the collaspe why aren't those same people giving the credit that attacked him? Oh yeah they are hypocrites.

Why

http://www1.whdh.com/news/articles/local/BO126794/#

Why is it I have to go looking for news like this blantant attack on President Obama? The article shows where there was a swastika ( I, as a jewish person, hate even typing that word) carved in a golf course with the President's name. That is DISGUSTING behavior ENCOURAGED by the right-wing. It NEEDS TO STOP!

One More Time

I have a satellite radio in my car. I was listening to the simulcast of CNN and they had a story of how aggressive animals have been getting toward people. As usual with stories like these they have it at least partially wrong as the reasons given. It's really simple actually and I have said this before:

As long as people are expanding building in mountains, forests, swamps, wherever and building into areas that are habitats for animals and taking away animals food sources this is going to happen. Animals will get more aggressive trying to find food for them and their babies.

That wasn't covered in the story yesterday.

He should be allowed

This following comment might surprise a lot of people. I think Rush the druggie should, repeat SHOULD be allowed to own the Rams if he wants to. Here are a couple reasons why:

A) It's his money he should be allowed to do what he wants
B) I hate the Rams as it is so for me it's just another reason
C) I want him to fail as an owner
D) The Rams can't be any worse

False News

It's nice to see the President and all his employees finally call False News (Fox News) for what they really are: An arm of the right-wing propaganda machine. All they are is 24 hours of anti-Obama hysteria and it's rediculous that they claim they are "fair and balanced"

Keep in mind I'm not saying networks have to be 24 hour Obama suckups cause they should be free to call Obama out on things they disagree with him on, BUT to claim they are news when they are not is wrong.

No Credibility

It amazes me how week after week I see more of the same John McCain on the tv shows. This man LOST the election and yet every week it seem he's on tv complaining like the grumpy old man. He was on yet again yesterday dispite having no credibility. If you want to go back he was one of the people who claimed the Iraq nightmare would be "easy". Why should anyone listen to someone so foolish who would say that. But then again a lot of people said that.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=John+McCain+Iraq+Easy&btnG=Google+Search

There is a great piece on McCain by Frank Rich. Here is the link

Congrats to the Chief

I'd like to say congrats to President Obama for winning the nobel peace prize although honestly I'm still not quite sure what he exactly has done to deserve it to be honest. I'd also like to say congrats to Mn. Gov Pawlenty and AZ. Sen McCain for being respectful for that even though I know they disagree with the President on most everything. Here is a link to comments by both

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Pawlenty+Obama+Nobel+Prize
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=JOhn+McCain+Obama+Nobel+Prize&btnG=Search

But of course those Republicans who hate America (and you know who I mean but if you want a refresher Rush, Beck, Steele and so many others) go right on the attack and do nothing but embarass themselves. For instance:

http://mediamatters.org/columns/200910090061

As always the right wing media does nothing but make fools out of themselves. Good consistancy.

More wondering

With all the crap (some derserved) ACORN received for being stupid in that undercover (possibly illegal) videotape just wondering where the equal outrage from the right is on this:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=Ny+Guns+Undercover&btnG=Google+Search

Shows police being undercover at a gun show in New York being told how to get illegal guns. Isn't that much worse then what ACORN did cause aren't guns used to kill people?

Coverage??

You know I hear the right whine and complain about the lack of coverage on their phony protests even though all the networks were there but I wonder where the coverage by the news was when anti-war protesters shut down Pennsylvania Ave in Washington D.C. the other day? There was nothing on CNN, MSNBC, Fox, ABC, NBC anywhere (I expect nothing on Fox cause they don't care) but even doing a google search here is what I found:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=Protesters+Shut+Down+Pennsylvania+Avenue&btnG=Google+Search

Really horrible when a bunch of angry white men (the right-wing protests) get coverage and normal people don't. Again more proof on the right-wing media.

A Reminder

http://www.thenation.com/doc/20090525/zirin2

I think a little reminder on who this General McChrystal is. He was involved in the cover-up of the death of Pat Tilman. For those who need a reminder Pat Tilman was a former NFL player who quit the game after 9/11. Originally he was reported killed by enemy forces but it was later found that he was killed by friendly fire. McChrystal helped cover it up.

A Few Questions

I have a couple of questions I've been asking. We got no answers (as always) when Bush was in office I hope we get answers with Obama concerning Afghanistan:

1) What is the mission.
2) What are goals to define success (hopefully Obama won't pull a stunt like Bush regarding Iraq landing on an aircraft carrier saying mission accomplished)
3) What is the exit strategy

It's really simple but we need answers

Un American

It's funny when the Repubilcans were in charge they called me un-american and not supporting our troops because I was against the Iraq War and all that garbage. But really who is un-american here? You see the other day I posted I thought it was a mistake for Obama to try to bring the Olympics to Chicago because I thought it was a waste of taxpayer dollars if he went and the fact he was in a no win situation because if they got it the media would say stuff like "oh Obama didn't really do anything" or "cronyism" or crap like that. . Now Chicago did not get the Olympics and the Republican media is attacking Obama (of course) and the great city of Chicago. They were actually rooting against Chicago and the United States because of their hatred toward Obama. It's really pathetic and it angers me because I want to see hte Olympics in my country as often as possible no matter who the President is. For quotes look below but if you want to know who is REALLY un-american... Look at the Republican party.

Uh Oh

So if anyone missed there is a bit of breaking news this early morning. Late Night host David Letterman announced he had sex with employees and someone tried to blackmail him regarding that. It's a shame but unless he broke CBS rules regarding that nothing should really happen. The reports indicate that the affairs happened before he was married and it appears all relationships were consensual (by the way why is it an affair when he wasn't married) and unless he said have sex with me or you will lose your job (which to this point that hasn't been announced) no crime has been committed.

He's Right

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=Alan+Grayson&btnG=Google+Search

Kudos to Alan Grayson (D, Fla) for telling the TRUTH about the non Republican Health Care Plan. He called Republicans out yesterday on the floor of Congress which it's nice to see finally done. He said on the floor the Republican plan which is simply "don't get sick" and "die quickly". It's the DAMN TRUTH and with my father being rejected BY HIS INSURANCE COMPANY for being on the kidney donar list because he's old it's exactly right. Whatever you do Mr. Grayson DO NOT APOLOGIZE to Republicans who bitch about this. They can't handle the truth and that's exactly what you said!

Republicans want to introduce a resolution saying Grayson was wrong. What babies.

More Violence

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=Newsmax+Military+Coup&btnG=Google+Search

I hoped that the census worker wasn't killed by a right-wing idiot. Now I'm sure he was. With the link I sure how yet another right-wing nut is encouraging a military coup against Obama. The right does nothing but encourage violence and this is yet another example. Until "people" like Rush, O'Idiot, the idiot who wrote that GET ARRESTED they will continue. There is no doubt going to be at least one assasination atempt on Obama based on these psychopaths encouraging it.

What they do right

One thing Republicans have an advantage on is they are always together and organized. Think about it as wrong as they are on every issue you will always see them together on every network (since Deomcrats don't get that coverage) preaching how they feel about it. And since every network gives them the time as well as countless radio shows will give them the time to speak they control the message.Meet The Press, This Week are all dominated by the Republican message. Hardly any Democrats. What Democrats have to change starts with leadership. First I will state again I feel Obama is a strong leader. But after that who goes out and talks about the message? Reed? Pelosi? You hear nothing from them. They are really weak. If Democrats had the organization that the Republicans do

Tuesday, September 29, 2009

Bad Idea

I want a record to show I feel it's a bad idea with all on his plate for President Obama to go to Denmark and spend taxpayer dollars to try to secure the Olympics for Chicago in 2016. There are way more important issues to deal with such as health care, Iran, Afghanistan and others.

One Rule

I decided to implement one rule on this website. It's very easy:

If you say someone said something, oh like Robert said recently that Obama said he doesn't believe in the constitution (paraphrasing a bit) you better have a link to that person's actual quote otherwise what you claim without proof will be deleted. It's that easy.

A few thoughts

Just a few thoughts running through my head.

Why don't Republicans, who are so against government run healthcare, give up their own government run healthcare?

If there is any proof elections need to be publicly funded all we need is this healthcare debate

Republicans are not in any way, shape, or form for capitalism. They are for nothing else but big business

If anyone wants to see something really funny check this out keeping in mind I'm not a Will Ferrell fan

A good idea

With all the talk of the racist Republicans I haven't had a chance to talk about something good President Obama did the other day. He scrapped the bogus missile defense system in Eastern Europe which was a big waste of taxpayer money. I have a few other ideas to cut government waste:

End contracts for Halliburton and affiliated companies which have had hands in killing soldiers so Cheney can make money
End Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy
Since gas prices are up again (people should be talking about it as much as they did under Bush) inact the windfall profit tax President Obama said he would during the election

Just a few thoughts

Even More

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&num=20&q=Roy+Blunt+Monkey&btnG=Search

Here is yet another proof of racism run wild in the GOP as I give you Roy Blunt. Robert you can defend this all you want you dig yourself deeper and deeper by defending this unacceptable behavior.

Facts

When I continuously talk about Repubican Racism I have something called the facts on my side contrary to Robert who has fantasy on his. I want to take you back to an article from Time Magazine a few years ago and Time is far from bias in fact this week has Glen Beck and a fluff piece on him on the cover.

http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,399921,00.html

Again Robert you can live in denial all you want. I hope the truth will set you free but I doubt it.

Exactly The Same

http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2009/10/death-of-a-president200910

I put this link to this article at vanityfair because it's the same. All you have to do is remove Kennedy's name and put Obama (except there hasn't yet been an assasination attempt). Right still uses the same tactics and are just as stupid. Hate preachers like Beck, Rush the druggie, O'idiot, Savage, Coulter just add fuel to the fire.

Hypocrites

Again showing the right-wingers are hypocrites is this issue of race. How all the main talking heads continue to call President Obama a racist and have no problems saying so but when they get called on it they go all ape sh*t. It's really pathetic and shows what they really are. Fact is racism is still a huge problem in this country and should not be ignored and there needs to be an honest discussion.

A few reminders

With all the phony outrage at the President I think we need a few reminders about what Republicans have done over the last 8 years:

It wasn't Democrats but Republicans who ran up the deficit

It was Republicans (Bush) who bailed out the banks

It was Republican Deregulation that caused the meltdown on Wall Street(signed by Bill Clinton)

President Obama has NOT (as of this point) raised taxes

It was Republicans that got us into Iraq

So a reminder Republicans are responsible for many of these

Horrible Attack But

I'd like to talk about the fight on a school bus in Missouri.
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=School+Bus+FIght+Missouri&btnG=Google+Search

First the fight is black students beating up a white student. Which is not acceptable in my opinion. But is it racism? According to police no it isn't (at least to this point) a racist attack. That's not stopping those on the right though specifically the drug addict Limbaugh
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&num=20&q=School+Bus+FIght+Missouri+Rush+Limbaugh&btnG=Search

And it's not stopping the idiot for putting the blame on the fight squarely on the President for some strange reason. First a couple of things: A) When I've talked about racism I understand it happens to caucasions as well as every person of race, gender, sexual orientation. 2nd what does the President have to do with this accept be attacked by a racist pig like Limbaugh? 3rd these are nothing but punks who attacked another student and I hope the proper disipline happens to them.

Jimmy Carter was right when he said that a lot of the attacks on Obama were based on race. He is. It's the fact that many people cannot accept an African-American as President. I know Obama cannot say that because the right would pounce on him if he does but race has a lot to do with the attacks on the bus.

Trickle Down

You see what Joe Wilson helped create? Cause Democrats are refusing to punish him for the outburst last week in part that lead to Serena Williams at the U.S. Open, Roger Federer yesterday at the U.S. Open, Kanye West at the video music awards and who knows how many more.

One Thing

The one thing about that crap that Joe Wilson pulled as well as an rarely reported rep from Illinois walking out during the speech http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp&q=Illinois+Rep+Walking+out+on+Obama+Speech&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&aqi=&oq=Illinois+Rep+Walking+out+on+Obama+Speech&fp=ee36edbd3c16a1c5 is that it has taken away from the context of the speech from the President.

Friday, September 11, 2009

Bad idea

I would like to remind you how bad Republicans are treating this President and are getting away with it. And they really need to get called on it more then they are. Joe Wilson, even though we know he won't mean it, should go to the floor of the House and issue a public apology. There is a history with Dick Durbin

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=Dick+Durbin+Senate+Nazi&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq=&aqi=

But really how many Republicans have gotten away with calling the current President a nazi? As I said you don't have to agree with him I know I didn't agree at all with the previous administration but imagine if it was reversed... Imagine if this was oh say Rep. Murtha on the floor while Bush was speaking calling him (accurately) a liar? The sharks would be circling around him. The hypocrisy is rediculous.

Thursday, September 10, 2009

What disrespect

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=Joe+Wilson+Calling+the+President+a+Liar&btnG=Google+Search

So in the middle of President Obama's speech last night Rep. Joe Wilson (R, SC) had the nerve to call the President a liar. What nerve and a show of disrespect for the President. Now he did issue a phony written apology, and since he is a Republican nothing is going to happen to him although he should be censored and stripped of any seniority, it's showing what I've been saying yet again about Republicans. They have no class. No respect and should be reminded of that every step of the way from now on.

Wednesday, September 09, 2009

What he has to say

I think what we need to hear President Obama say tonight in his speech about healthcare is simple:

A) Give details
B) Remind people if they like their current insurance they can keep it
C) Public Option has to be in any bill for him to sign it
D) Remind people he tried to work with Republicans but they failed to respond
E) Remind people Republicans are not offering any alternatives (as usual)

I hope for a home run in this speech. He needs to step up his game.

Tuesday, September 08, 2009

Van Jones

So let me get this straight. The right wing attacks a member of the Obama Administration for a couple of things: A) Signing a petition wanting to know what Bush knew about the 9/11 attacks and B) Calling Republicans A**holes at a healthcare forum.

If any Republican had to resign like Jones did for calling Democrats names there wouldn't be any Republicans in any office anywhere. Which of course would be a great thing.

Why Not

So if anyone is keeping score I present to you the state of Deleware. They want to help heel their budget by allowing sports betting. I say fine I wish more states should have it. But the major sports leagues being the hypocrites they are are resisting saying it will hurt the "integrity" of the game. I don't see how. First I think if they really cared about "integrity" and sports betting they leagues would do things like, oh I don't know refuse to allow odds for games in Newspapers. Or maybe not list injury reports their players because the only people who really would care about that are the gamblers. "Integrity" went out years ago!

Saturday, September 05, 2009

Unbelievable

I have never seen a group of people show such disrespect as Republicans show this President. They are disgusting, vile and showing how they cannot stand the fact there is a black person as President. I'm sorry to Robert but that is a fact. The latest disgust is how President Obama is having a speech encouraging kids to stay in school, study hard and get good grades. The right again showing their true colors (because Reagan and Bushs did the same thing) they are claiming how Obama is trying to "brainwash " and "indoctrinate" their kids. Again noting but disrespect. Even if you don't agree with his policies (which with the exception of unemployment things like the stimulus are working) that is over the line and uncalled for. These "people" need to go badly. Think about it most are encouraging parents to keep their kids at home so they don't see him speak. Again disprespect.

Monday, August 31, 2009

Predictable

Nice to know the no class people on the right-wing media never let me down and it further shows how pathetic they are as always. Here is quotes on Ted Kennedy:

http://mediamatters.org/columns/200908280046

Keep in mind what I said about Michael Jackson when he died: You have to judge the whole man, not the part. He was in no way, shape or form a perfect person, he had a tragic history in part do to his own doing and that part of his life cannot be ignored, but as a Senator he will be missed.

Again it shows how disgusting they are.

Tragic

The fire I posted about the other day has turned tragic as two firefighters lost their lives when their vehicle overturned. Sad

Friday, August 28, 2009

A Long Season

I've lived in Los Angeles pretty much all of my life (except 8 months when I was in New York) and I think we are going to have another really bad fire season this year (although fire season has become year around now). Just in the past few days we've had three big wildfires and while the temperature has been very hot luckily no Santa Ana Winds driving them. I hope I'm wrong but the signs are not good.

Wednesday, August 26, 2009

RIP

I was saddened to learn of the death of Ted Kennedy after his long bout of Brain Cancer. The "Liberal Lion" will be missed.

Tuesday, August 25, 2009

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack

So after computer problems and a deserved break I'm back. And if you were under a rock the past 12 days the biggest news is something liberals were saying all along and that is Bush abused his power (at least) with the terror alert system praying on people fears after the 9/11 attacks. If there aren't two people who deserve to be in jail more then Bush and Cheney I don't know who it would be.

Thursday, August 13, 2009

Just Wondering

Just wondering now that the stock market is up and the economy is slowly starting to turn around why are the same people who falsely blamed President Obama for creating the mess even though it started under Bush and the Republicans why aren't they saying what the facts are and that is President Obama's economic plan worked? Oh year Republicans only know how to blame!

More Right Racism

I know people like Robert who live in denial hate when I talk about the racism coming from the right but here is yet another example:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090811/ap_on_go_co/us_health_care_swastika

Sorry but these are facts that more racism is coming from the right especially since there is an African American President. You can start with the leader of the Republican Party Rush Limbaugh and work down from there

Wednesday, August 12, 2009

Death Panels??

So idiot Sarah Palin has been going on talking about how if health care reform gets passed it would create "death panels" which I don't even know why the idiot is saying that. Getting to reality as everyone BUT Republicans live in I want to talk about what is happening NOW!

Years ago my mom divorced and remarried. My real dad has problems with his kidneys and is on dialisis. He has been hoping to be put on the wait list to get a new kidney. He was turned down because of his age. So in other words a "death panel" sentenced him to die because he is old. That BITCH Sarah Palin needs to wake up cause that is the reality we live in with people deciding other people fates.

How Sick are they

http://www.kansascity.com/637/story/1373179.html

I ask how sick are Republicans. They are making a hero out of the person who assasinated Dr. Tiller. They are truly sick and I wonder how many more assasinations are coming and how many more before someone takes notice. Of course the right thinks G. Gordon Liddy and Oliver North are heros don't they?

About Time

What Liberal Media

http://rawstory.com/08/news/2009/08/05/ap-omit-killers-racist-diary-rants/

If the media is liberal as the right falsely claims why wouldn't they report this? This link shows the Pa. Gym killer's diary. It shows he was nothing but another right-wing lunatic with easy access to a gun and decided to kill people for the hell of it. This is yet another example on why there should NEVER BE SUCH EASY ACCESS TO GUNS EVER

Showing their true selves

If you take this week Repubilcans as always show their true selves. John Cornyn of Texas even said it. He said Republicans are going to "take advantage of peoples fear and anger in 2010". Now what fear is that. We know what it is it's peoples fear that a black person is elected President. A lot of people just are refusing to accept it. They are angry about it and that is the only thing Republicans can go for because on the issues they have no ideas except more of the same. You saw it on the attacks this week directed on President Obama Beck calling him a racsit when he isn't Limbaugh saying he's like Hitler which if you really wanna make comparisons you can talk about Bush but there wasn't this kind of hatred directed toward Bill Clinton as bad as that was. As I said Republicans are showing there true selves and really if you want to be associated with people like that it really shows a lot.

More of the same

Sorry for no posts this week my computer crapped out on me. What else is new (hint for any friends and family with my birthday on Friday).

I watched more of the same McCain earlier in the week and it pissed me off. First that he gets any tv time with that disgusting campaign he ran still amazes me I guess the media still considers him moderate which he isn't obviously. But he said last weekend that Obama isn't "bipartisan enough" which pisses me off actually. He has reached out so many times to Republicans and every time they said no. Repubicans refuse to cooperate and yet this idiot says

Saturday, August 01, 2009

For a laugh

For a good laugh read Jonah Goldberg's column from earlier in the week in the Los Angeles Times. Why they keep him employed is beyond me. His column actually states that we shouldn't be concerned about global warming because "earth is going to be destroyed by an asteroid". It's really about smearing those who believe global warming is a serious problem but the reason is hysterical.

Goldberg is yet another right-wing nutjob among many out there.

Free Speech vs Hate Speech

I'd like to talk about the psycho Glen Beck for a minute. He, like a lot of Republicans lately, have been spewing raw hatred toward the elected President. He has a right and a forum to say what he wants but I wonder, especially after calling President Obama a racist, if a line wasn't crossed.

There was a great documentary on HBO about free speech called "Shouting Fire" and that got me thinking what line would have to be crossed for people to be dealt with on their jobs. Beck and Rush are the most logical examples for the hatred they preach from their listeners and viewers. To me they should have been fired years ago but I don't make that call I choose not to listen or watch them because in my view they, like many Republicans (mind you I'm not saying all), are showing who they really are.

But really the line crossed is when you make threats. It's illegal to threaten the President whether you mean it or not. Michelle Bachman of Mn. threatened the President on the floor of the House when she said "a revolution is a good thing" Rush said "maybe we can bring the people of Hondorus here to get our Government back" those are threats and they really should be treated as such and those people should be dealt with. That is why there has been an increase in violence and I have a few examples which you can look in my archives of the words directed murders. That's a line that needs to be monitored and as I said dealt with.

Just Wondering

I am wondering about those in Congress and the Senate who are against healthcare, or as they call it "Government healthcare" realize a couple of things:

A) They get it. We as taxpayers pay for their healthcare. I know the President gets that
B) Soldiers get it as well

I just wonder why they are so against a better healthcare system?

Palin

So with more fanfare then it deserved Sarah Palin is no longer in office. How she thinks she can run for anything more then dog catcher in Wasilla is beyond me. How would anyone vote for someone who quit in the middle of her first term? She is nothing but a quitter, loser and if she gets the nomination in 2012 will say so much about Republicans.

He was right again

So I heard the 911 call regarding the Professor Harris situation in Cambridge. The caller even told the police it looked like they lived there. You see President Obama was right again when he said the cop acted stupidly. Once it was established that Professor Harris lived there the cop should have apologized and left and not arrested him for disorderly conduct. I'm sorry the cop overreacted and the right wing, as always, overreacted in their attempts to hurt the President. Keep in mind I'm not calling the cop racist by all information given he is not but he was stupid and overreacted to the situation.

Shut up already

One of the things I wish Republicans would finally shut up on are questions that President Obama was not born in the United States. He was born in Hawaii there is birth certificate there are birth announcements in the Hawaii newspaper. SHUT THE HELL UP WITH THIS ALREADY YOU STUPID NUTJOBS! There are more important issues to deal with and you don't want to!

Myths from Republicans

So every time I hear Republicans speak they talk about competition. They want businesses to compete, which in term will reduce costs or so they claim. They claim how regulation doesn't work (which has been proven wrong time and time again) and the free market should set itself.

I bring this up cause there is an opportunity to test the theory with healthcare. Of course Republicans are against it claiming they would rather break the President instead of taking care of a major issue from the United States. What this would do if passed is CREATE COMPETITION instead of having a few companies control everything which, in term should do exactly what Republicans claim competition does and lower prices.

Republicans only goal is do embarass the President. I have not seen them offer, as always, any alternatives and I hope this is noted next election and they sink further into the hole they are already in.

I'll do it

http://www.topix.com/us-house/mike-mcintyre/2009/05/congressmen-to-introduce-bill-recognizing-nations-judeo-christian-heritage

So instead of fixing healthcare apparently more important to these religious nutjob Republicans it's more important to introduce legislation to "recognize the nations judeo christian heritage". In fact saying they would "debate anyone to that fact". I say name the time and place and I'll be there. If you actually studied history our founding fathers were quakers escaping religious persecution from the church. But again Republicans don't know history and are too stupid I guess to understand it.

Assisted Suicide

I'd like to talk about something I don't recall talking about before and that's assisted suicide. I support that for those who are terminally ill but there is something that happened I heard about that I think is wrong. There is a person named Sir Edward Downs who was a composer. He flew his terminally ill wife to Switzerland and his wife and himself killed themselves with assisted suicide. Now as I said his wife, who was ill is one thing but he was healthy and while to grieve over his wife is one thing, he also killed himself with the same cocktail that killed his wife and I think that is wrong and the people who sponsored that should be prosecuted for murder.

Now We Know

Now we know about the healthcare bill and how the plan is to pay for it. The plan in part is to put a tax on those who make more then $250,000 per year. You know the same people who benefited from the Bush tax cuts which in part led us to the recession we are currently in. I like the idea from what I've seen but am still looking at the details. Stay tuned.

Didn't know this is a problem

Not reported on the news was a bill proposed by Sam Brownback that would ban human cloning for three years. I know what they are referring to and that is stem cell research. This will not work.

Shadow of a doubt

I would like to close my case on the racism from the right. If anyone saw the hearings for Sotomayor, specifically Jeff Sessions and Lindsey Graham saw the hatred toward latino's clearly come out. One comment was "don't all dark skinned people think the same". Colin Powell was right Republicans still have a major problem with race. I'm sorry for those who don't like hearing this but these are facts. I will also keep in mind that Samuel Alieto (not a typo) said the same thing that Sotomayor said and got NO grief.

What's Wrong with these people?

http://rawstory.com/blog/2009/07/gay-couple-detained-near-mormon-plaza-after-kiss/

Just wondering why this isn't being reported? Story shows how two people were detained in Utah for kissing. Of course these were two homosexuals but really why should it matter? Can't wait for the lawsuit on this one.

More then Meets the eye

I knew there was more to the Ensign (R, Nev) affair then meets the eye.

http://www.harpers.org/archive/2003/03/0079525

The link talks about a Christian Prayer group that "people" like him, Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, other Republicans and a few Democrats belong to. The praise psychopaths like Hitler and Osama Bin Laden and Genghis Khan.

This are the leaders of our country.

Treason

I would like to give a quote from drug addict Rush Limbaugh

" If we had any good luck, Honduras would send some people here and help us get our government back. "

I wanted to look up the definition of treason. This applies. Secret Service needs to arrest him.

http://dictionary.reference.com/dic?q=Treason&search=

1. the offense of acting to overthrow one's government or to harm or kill its sovereign.
2. a violation of allegiance to one's sovereign or to one's state.

Anger Level

My anger level is high today. First we have to be bombarded with more insane Michael Jackson coverage today with his memorial second, as a taxpayer I have to pay for security. I'm sorry if the family, who Jackson made billions for, wants to create this circus they should have to pay for it and leave taxpayers out of it.

Strange

Just looking again at Sarah Palin's press conference I mean it's just strange. As I said on my previous post there is more to this but again let's review some of her reason's she said:

1) She wants to spend time with her family. That might be a legitimate reason but what if she runs for President? That is a long grueling two year affair nowadays. She can't take time off then

2) The media attacks her. Yet another Republican crybaby. Again what will happen in a national election? If she can't take it now what will happen in an increase

3) She is a lame duck. How? She still had a lot of time left on HER FIRST TERM. She cold easily run for her 2nd term probably win there.

As I said there is more to this coming out.

Palin

I was thinking the last couple of days about Mrs. Palin resigning from Gov. of Alaska. First like many it was a big surprise to me but let's take a look at a few things:

1) This is so she could write a book for the big advance she received and to raise her level on a national basis.

2) If she thinks this will help her nationally, the same lack of experience attacks she gave President Obama during the campaign will be used by her own party against her.

3) Something will come out on the real reason. There is more here then we know right now.

4) She is abandoning her state.

5) This would not be a story if she finished out her first term and decided not to run again.

There is more to this. I can't wait to find out what.

What Liberal Media??

I always laugh when I hear claim about the alleged "liberal media" since we know it's phony. We know the media is absolutely right-wing and for even more proof then the hundreds of examples I present this:

http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/chicanisima/2009/06/minutemen-murder-and-hatred-against-latinos-grows.html

This shows how the vigilante group the minuteman, who the right branded heroes, murdered a latino father and daughter in Arizona. I haven't seen anything about this on any network what so ever and if the media was liberal they would be all over this. My case is closed.

Huh?

http://sf.carnalnation.com/content/9606/4/neb-catholic-group-pushes-rule-change-allowing-licensed-psychologists-refuse-treatmen

So on this independence day one of the rules of the declaration of independence says we have separation of church and state. So why is a catholic group in Nebraska trying to get a law passed saying Psychologists cannot see gay people? Talk about people who are out of control.

Use it or else

Now that the Democrats have complete power in Washington I suggest one thing: Use your power or you will lose it. Reed and Pelosi show some backbone and don't give in to Republicans as you have done time and time again. The PEOPLE voted you in to do the PEOPLE'S business. And if you don't show true leadership get out of the way for someone who will.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

This might surprise you again

So Bernie Madoff got 150 years in prison for swindling investors. Fine I have no problem with that. But I was wondering what part are the investors playing in this. They willingly took a chance with their money and made a choice. It's really hard to feel sorry for themI know they lost millions but they again chose to invest with him without doing any research. But really the people who should be taking more blame is the SEC. They are the ones who are supposed to be monitoring frauds like Madoff and looked the other way. And we know who is responsible for appointing members of the SEC (in this case Bush).

Never Learn

One thing about Republicans is they never learn. They keep the same views despite losing elections. The latest example is an op-ed piece over the weekend in the Los Angeles times by John Bolton. He said the only way to change things in Iran is with a regime change. So in other words he wants to put more troops in harms way, and radicalize yet another country against the United States (like he helped do in Iraq and Afghanistan) . Republicans are consistantly wrong on this.

RIP

So I guess I should take a moment to talk about the death of Michael Jackson. I hope when he is remembered he is remembered for everything from being a brilliant musician to being a freak and probable child molester. (and I'm sorry when you pay someone off $20 million as he did not to testify that means to me you are hiding something). Remember him for the talent he is and the choices he made.

Thursday, June 25, 2009

Bye Bye

Yet another possible contender for the Party of Cowards bit the dust as hopefully soon to be former South Carolina Gov. Mark Samford proved to be yet another hypocrite having and lying about an affair. I would like to take you back to 1998:

“The bottom line, though, is I am sure there will be a lot of legalistic explanations pointing out that the president lied under oath. His situation was not under oath. The bottom line, though, is he still lied. He lied under a different oath, and that is the oath to his wife. So it’s got to be taken very, very seriously.” [Sanford on Livingston, CNN, 12/18/98]

We ought to ask questions…rather than circle the wagons for one of our tribe.” [Sanford on how the GOP reacts to affairs, New York Post, 12/20/98]

“I think it would be much better for the country and for him personally (to resign). I come from the business side. If you had a chairman or president in the business world facing these allegations, he’d be gone.” [Sanford on Clinton, The Post and Courier, 9/12/98]

The issue of lying is probably the biggest harm, if you will, to the system of Democratic government, representatives government, because it undermines trust. And if you undermine trust in our system, you undermine everything.” [Sanford on Clinton, CNN, 2/16/99]

So since lying is an issue and you lied you should RESIGN IMMEDIATELY. Just like you asked Bill Clinton.

Last thing I hope we learn about Republicans:

1) They are NOT the party of family values. They are a bunch of perverts and hypocrites!

2) They are NOT the party of fiscal responsibility.

Health Care

So I find it funny in this country where our prisoners get better Health Care then the citizens. The President wants to change that but of course is getting resistant from Senators and Congresspeople on both sides of the isle who are in bed with the insurance companies who don't want competition which will lower prices.

I said this before it's about time the United States joins most of the civilized world and offers government health which would create competition and lower prices.

What is

So I heard a conversation between two Rabbi's on the radio on what constitutes a hate crime. One Rabbi said that if you are a holocaust denier that is a hate crime. Even though I'm Jewish as it is known I disagree. To me a hate crime is a crime committed against an individual based on their race, religion, or sexual preference. To me it's that simple. People do hate and as long as no criminal act is committed that would fall under discrimination laws . But that's my view I would like to get another.

On Vacation

I will be on a well-deserved vacation for the next few days. My first in about 4 years or so. Not sure how much internet access I will have but I will see you all when I get back.

Does he or not

So the question of the week is does Dick Cheney want the United States to be attacked again. First the lie that the United States has been safe since 9/11 cause if you remember we were attaked after with the Anthrax case. Personally I think he does. He wants to be able to go to the media and say "see, I was right". He, like a lot of Republicans, would love to be able to use the new attacks against President Obama. So yes I think Cheney wants us to be attacked again.

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

3 of a kind

I'd like to talk about three hypocrisies going on yesterday. Two by Republicans and one by the President.

1) War funding vote. All but 5 Republicans voted against funding for the troops. Whenever Bush wanted funding Republicans resorted to their usual "un-american" or "treason" or "you do not support the troops" card for those who opposed it. Who really doesn't support the troops now as I've been saying all along.

2) Sen. John Ensign of Nevada (R). He was caught having an affair with a staff member. He is one who called for Larry Craig and Bill Clinton to resign for their affairs. Shouldn't he have to resign as well since he got caught? Oh year Republicans who have affairs don't have to do anything.

3) President Obama won't release the visitors list to the White House. I was pissed when Bush and Cheney wouldn't release the list and am equally upset. What does the President have to hide he promised a more open Government and this is one of the things he should be doing to show it.

Tuesday, June 16, 2009

English Only

So there are movements (mainly by the right) to have English as the official language of the United States. If I go to any country outside of the United States I am expected to know a the language they speak why shouldn't that be the case here? Living in Los Angeles I would say Spanish is spoken as much as English and I feel I shouldn't have to learn Spanish unless I go to Mexico or any country that speaks it. Shouldn't that be the same here?

Monday, June 15, 2009

Up Up Up

So gas prices are up again and I am wondering if President Obama is going to keep a campaign promise and install a windfall profits tax to the oil companies cause everyone knows that it is profit taking.

Who should really apologize

The psycho right owes an apology to the Department of Homeland Security for the threat report a few months ago that got you bent out of shape. You continuously smeared them for saying that the report called you a terrorist when it didn't unless you are part of the groups that they referred to. Which my guess is you are. Now we have two terrorist attacks and you made THEM issue an apology. You are the sick freaks and should apologize to them. I'm waiting for you to grow a set and apologize. That's right I'm calling you what you are and that's a bunch of cowards

Friday, June 12, 2009

Back in the News

I see where Rev. Wright is back in the news and as usual not in a good way. He is quoted as saying "them jews are keeping me from talking to Obama. " I'm sorry but when I talk about racism that means from both sides. He offers no proof of his ignorant, racist quote and I find it as disgusting as if someone like O'Idiot or druggie would say it. Sorry he is wrong and a sick bastard for saying that!

Thursday, June 11, 2009

Right Yet Again

Yet again the threat assesment that had the right up in arms is proven right as yesterday yet another extremest yesterday went into the holocaust museum in Washington and shot a guard and who knows how many more if he wasn't stopped. And if you look at this psycho's history as has been reported on the news you know he should have NEVER had access to a firearm as he already served time for similar crimes. The people though who need to apologize are those on the right who were upset at that report because that's two terrorist attacks in a week now.

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

Detainees in U.S.

So the trials are about to begin for people Bush kidnapped and held, up until now, without charges and due process. The trials are in New York which to me is fine. I don't know why the right is convinced our prison system couldn't handle the suspects considering we have convicted terroists but all they know how to do is spread fear and misinformation. Typical cowardice from the party of cowards as they as ALWAYS refuse to listen to facts.

If these people are found guilty send them to supermax prison in Colorado but these people do deserve their day in court.

Tuesday, June 09, 2009

Time To Go

Yesterday, the Bush Supreme Court upheld the horrible Bill Clinton policy of Don't Ask Don't Tell where gay and lesbians cannot openly serve in the military. I realize President Obama has a lot to deal with but as a candidate he promised to repeal this horrible policy and that is one thing that needs to be done. President Obama do the right thing.

Monday, June 08, 2009

An Interesting Week

The week should be interesting as the debate on healthcare starts. It's about time our government joins civilized nations in offering healthcare to those who want it. Again it's something that needs to be done.

The Truth at last

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Cheney+Iraq+9%2F11&btnG=Google+Search

The above link shows a couple of things. First Dick Cheney saying how Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 as well as his previous lies saying they did. In fact that was one of the main reasons we were told we had to invade Iraq. So since Cheney admitted he lied he, like Bush, Rice, Rumsfeld, Powell should all be charged with war crimes. He murdered over 4000 American troops and who knows how many Iraqi citizens based on these lies. Damn him.

Speeches

I just saw President Obama's speech direct to Muslim nations. I have a mixed bag about this because being who I am religiously I don't want to be friendly nations who sole purpose is to destroy Israel and its citizens however at least President Obama is doing something Bush wouldn't know how to do if his life depended on it and that is make an effort for peace and not war.

Easy Target

I see where the Mn. Gov. isn't going to run for a third term fueling speculation that he is going to run for Pres. in 2012. Really he is an easy target all Democrats will have to do is run ads how he refuses to seat the ELECTED SENATOR of Minnesota so Norm Coleman can try his best to get the LEGALLY COUNTED VOTES overturned.

Huh?

So I see where President Obama signed a bill to mark 2011 as a year to honor Ronald Reagan's 100 birthday. I'm not sure if you realize Regan is, as I've said before, the most OVERRATED PRESIDENT OF ALL TIME! I don't know how people think he did as much as Republicans claim he did but he did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AS PRESIDENT.Give me a break! He should have been in jail for Iran-Contra.

Words and consequences II

Remember a few months ago there was a threat assessment that had the right up in arms? It said had domestic right-wing hate groups were increasing and they needed to be monitored and the right was pissed off? Well it turned out it was dead on and the first victim was a Dr Tiller who was murdered in Kansas Sunday. His only crime was he performed abortions. Minding everyone it is a LEGAL PROCEDURE. A man associate with right-wing pro life groups gunned him in a church.

Why do I have the title words and consequences in my post? Well I'd like to present you with these links and how Fox News and specifically Bill O Idiot is an accessory in this murder by encouraging acts of violence. I know he will never be charged but he is clearly in part responsible:

http://mediamatters.org/mmtv/200906010035
http://mediamatters.org/mmtv/200906010025

Again I believe inciting violence is a crime and I believe O'Idiot should be charged. He continuously called him "Tiller the baby killer" and inciting the hatred toward him. He is nothing but scum and as far as I am concerned a murderer.

Proof

If you need anymore proof how the right is a bunch of hypocrites here is the confirmation of Samuel Lieto (not a typo) for the Supreme Court:

ALITO: I don't come from an affluent background or a privileged background. My parents were both quite poor when they were growing up.

And I know about their experiences and I didn't experience those things. I don't take credit for anything that they did or anything that they overcame.

But I think that children learn a lot from their parents and they learn from what the parents say. But I think they learn a lot more from what the parents do and from what they take from the stories of their parents lives.

And that's why I went into that in my opening statement. Because when a case comes before me involving, let's say, someone who is an immigrant -- and we get an awful lot of immigration cases and naturalization cases -- I can't help but think of my own ancestors, because it wasn't that long ago when they were in that position.

And so it's my job to apply the law. It's not my job to change the law or to bend the law to achieve any result.

But when I look at those cases, I have to say to myself, and I do say to myself, "You know, this could be your grandfather, this could be your grandmother. They were not citizens at one time, and they were people who came to this country."

When I have cases involving children, I can't help but think of my own children and think about my children being treated in the way that children may be treated in the case that's before me.

And that goes down the line. When I get a case about discrimination, I have to think about people in my own family who suffered discrimination because of their ethnic background or because of religion or because of gender. And I do take that into account. When I have a case involving someone who's been subjected to discrimination because of disability, I have to think of people who I've known and admire very greatly who've had disabilities, and I've watched them struggle to overcome the barriers that society puts up often just because it doesn't think of what it's doing -- the barriers that it puts up to them.

So those are some of the experiences that have shaped me as a person.

And must we not forget Clarence Thomas:

During Thomas' Supreme Court confirmation hearings, Sen. Herb Kohl (D-WI) asked, "I'd like to ask you why you want this job?" Thomas replied in part: "I believe, Senator, that I can make a contribution, that I can bring something different to the Court, that I can walk in the shoes of the people who are affected by what the Court does."

http://mediamatters.org/research/200905310014

So according to the right based on what they say about Obama's nomination, doesn't that make them racists too? Yes it does. Why wasn't Rush or Newt or anyone calling Alieto and Thomas out then?

Sunday, May 31, 2009

Words have consequences

I want to take you back to the speech where Bush had his infamous "Axis of evil" of North Korea, Iran and Iraq. Bush then proceeded to attack the weakest of the three in Iraq and what Bush's words have since meant.

They meant that since then North Korea and Iran have acquired nulcear materials and are now threats that the new President Obama has to deal with while before Bush said those words they were annoyances but not threats. Good job yet again Bush.

Who is racist?

I'd like to present a quote from Newt Gingrich. Just in case we need a reminder who is racist (hint: it's not the Supreme Court Nominee)

http://www.bartleby.com/66/72/24972.html

If combat means living in a ditch, females have biological problems staying in a ditch for 30 days because they get infections.... Males are biologically driven to go out and hunt giraffes.

So you want a reminder who the racist is it's as usual the Republicans. The party of middle aged white males.

Not Letting Me Down

Since to see "people" (and I use that term more and more loosely) like Newt and Rush etc. not let me down. They are the racists and they call the new Supreme Court Nominee one based on a partial statement she made in 2001. I found the statement and there is nothing racial about it just honesty (which is something I guess they are not familiar with).

Here is a link to that statement:

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/15/us/politics/15judge.text.html?_r=1

Robert why aren't you calling out Newt and Rush etc. for those awful comments like you do me? Oh yeah you are a coward like them.

A Bad Choice

What I find amusing is if the right would take the bible out of most of their arguments they would have none.

But I would like to comment briefly on the horrible choice the Supreme Court made yesterday upholding prop 8. They gave into the religious freaks who bullied their way into California from out of state. Really it's a case between the majority and what is right. The right thing would be to allow gay marriage. Bad choice.

Brilliant

What a brilliant move from President Obama in announcing his Supreme Court Nominee. It would say a lot of anyone who opposes her. She was nominated by the first Bush. She is well qualified. A great choice.

A Pack of lies

The Los Angeles Times yesterday ran speeches from "Wartime Presidents" including Bush. Here is the lies he stated.

http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/la-ed-memorial25-2009may25,0,1334936.story

Some in this chamber, and in our country, did not support the liberation of Iraq. Objections to war often come from principled motives. But let us be candid about the consequences of leaving Saddam Hussein in power. We're seeking all the facts. Already the Kay Report identified dozens of weapons of mass destruction-related program activities and significant amounts of equipment that Iraq concealed from the United Nations. Had we failed to act, the dictator's weapons of mass destruction programs would continue to this day. Had we failed to act, Security Council resolutions on Iraq would have been revealed as empty threats, weakening the United Nations and encouraging defiance by dictators around the world. Iraq's torture chambers would still be filled with victims -- terrified and innocent. The killing fields of Iraq, where hundreds of thousands of men, women and children vanished into the sands, would still be known only to the killers. For all who love freedom and peace, the world without Saddam Hussein's regime is a better and safer place.

-- George W. Bush,

State of the Union address, January 2004

Breaking down the lies:

Some in this chamber, and in our country, did not support the liberation of Iraq. Objections to war often come from principled motives.

-- Actually it was the MAJORITY of people

But let us be candid about the consequences of leaving Saddam Hussein in power.

-- Since he was contained nothing

We're seeking all the facts.

-- No he was seeking the facts that fit his lies

Already the Kay Report identified dozens of weapons of mass destruction-related program activities and significant amounts of equipment that Iraq concealed from the United Nations.

-- The U.N. weapons inspectors, you know the people on the ground, said he had none

Had we failed to act, the dictator's weapons of mass destruction programs would continue to this day.

-- He wasn't interested in getting any

Had we failed to act, Security Council resolutions on Iraq would have been revealed as empty threats, weakening the United Nations and encouraging defiance by dictators around the world.

--You mean crippling the people of his country??

Iraq's torture chambers would still be filled with victims -- terrified and innocent.

--Like he ordered??

The killing fields of Iraq, where hundreds of thousands of men, women and children vanished into the sands, would still be known only to the killers.

How many were caused by his orders??

For all who love freedom and peace, the world without Saddam Hussein's regime is a better and safer place.

--And the proof is??
