Sad

Yet another liberal voice has left the airwaves as Rosie O'Donnell has left the view. O'Idiot and all the right-wing psychopaths are jumping with joy.

Now don't get me wrong I'm not a huge fan of her BUT there are so few voices on the airwaves it's pathetic. Yet liars like Bill O'Idiot are free to spread their hate and mis-information freely. That's what's really wrong.

Congrats

Congrats are in order to my old high school El Camino Real in Woodland Hills, Ca. for winning the academic decathlon. That's three out of four. Great job ladies and gentlemen.

Flip Flop

Funny how people are against things when it doesn't suit there purposes. That is in essence a flip flop and thanks to americablog I would like to give you a speech from John McCain in 1993 regarding the troops then in Somalia:

McCain 1993
Mr. President, there is no reason for the United States of America to remain in Somalia. The American people want them home, I believe that the majority of Congress wants them home, and to set an artificial date of March 31 or even February 1st, in my view, is not acceptable. The criteria should be to bring them home as rapidly and safely as possible. An evolution, which I think could be completed in a matter of weeks. Mr. President, our continued military presence in Somalia allows another situation to arise which could then lead to the wounding, killing, or capture of the of American fighting men and women. We should do all in our power to avoid that. Date certain, Mr. President, are not the criteria here. What's the criteria and what should be the criteria is our immediate, orderly withdrawal from Somalia. And if we don't do that, and other Americans die, other Americans are wounded, other Americans are captured, because we stayed too long, longer than necessary, then I would say that the responsibilities for that lie with the Congress of the United States who did not excercise their authority under the Constitution of the United States and mandate that they be brought home as quickly and safely as possible. But the mission which the American people supported and this Congress supported, in an overwhelming resolution, has been accomplished. The American people did not support the goals of nation-building, peacemaking, law and order and certainly not warlord funding. For us to get into nation-building, law and order, etc, I think is a tragic and terrible mistake. But the argument that somehow the United States would suffer a loss to our prestige and our viability, as far as the No. 1 superpower in the world, I think, is baloney. The fact is, what can hurt our prestige, Mr. President, I'll tell you what can hurt our viability, as the world's superpower, and that is, if we inmesh ourselves in a drawn-out situation, which entails the loss of American lives, more debaucles like the one we saw with the failed mission to capture Aidid's lieutenants, using American forces, and that then will be what hurts our prestige. Look at the tragedy in Beirut, Mr. President, 240 young Marines lost their lives, but we got out. Now is the time for us to get out of Somalia, as rapidly and as promptly and as safely as possible.

Now McCain on Haiti in 1994:

McCain 1994
One of the reasons why people are convinced, why many of these experts are convinced, that this situation is one which is increasingly difficult to solve, is because of the fact that we were there once before. The right course of action is to make preparations as quickly as possible to bring our people home. It does not mean as soon as order is restored to Haiti, it doesn't mean as soon as Democracy is flourishing in Haiti, it doesn't mean as soon as we've established a viable nation in Haiti, as soon as possible means as soon as we can get out of Haiti without losing any American lives. Now there may be different interpretations of this Resolution on the other side but it is my view and I want to make it clear and I think the majority of the American people's view that as soon as possible means as soon as possible. Exactly what those words state. The Haitians were to police themselves but the cooperation that was to prevent mission creep has not materialized and U.S. troops have assumed a greater and greater responsibility for policing Haiti. We all see on CNN what they are doing. Day by day their mission expands. American military personnel have been tasked with preventing looting, stopping Haitian on Haitian violence, protecting private property and arresting attaches.

Now just so you know I disagree with the troop there anyway. But McCain was against President Clinton sending troops there now he's for the disaster in Iraq despite the majority of the American people who want them home.

Isn't that a flip-flop??

Two Years ago

I can't believe it's been two years since I started this website. The time has gone so fast. I've had so much fun doing this this has been a way to get my views across and to hear your views. I have learned a couple of things though and I'd like talk about them.

Conservatives can't handle facts. I show them quotes, I show where I get them, I don't edit them in any way and yet some people can't seem to handle them. I guess they don't like looking in the mirror and the image they get back.

Be careful listing names of fallen soldiers in Iraq. I will continue to do that even though a lot of you don't like that because I hate Bush and no other reason. And I do apologize that you feel that way but I want to show my support for the troops and contrary to Bush I DO care about them and I want them to come home in one piece.

Words hurt. I know to be careful what I say but believe me if I say whatever not everyone will like it. Especially when it's accurate. I don't make anything up on the site. And if I can paraphrase a bit from Roberts site I believe someone made a quote to the effect of "if you make them angry that means they are thinking about it" (Robert please correct me if I'm wrong)

Anyway I always thank you for coming here and I always thank you for your support. It's been a fun ride and it will continue for a long time to come.

Sports Take

On the eve of the sites two years anniversary I wanted to give a quick sports take. Specifically my favorite basketball team the Los Angeles Lakers (or fakers as I like to call them now) .

This is a once-proud franchise with so many legends it isn't funny. But that team has fallen into decline lately. And I feel it could be traced back to one particular current Lakers trip to Colorado.

I know Kobe Bryant settled that rape case and we will never know what really happened but taking a look at a few things like for instance he went to Colorado without letting the team know to have surgery. And during the police interview he sold Shaq out and saying how Shaq helped him out in situations like that before (that is public information) indicating that there has been at least another "incident".

That year the Lakers had a dream team consisting of Shaq, Kobe,Karl Malone, and Gary Payton . Kobe was in a contract year and had a magnificent season even though the obvious strain on him.

Relations between Kobe and Shaq were always strained but they knew they needed each other to win championships which they did back-to-back-to-back. But after the loss to Detroit ultimatums were given from Kobe: trade Shaq or I'm signing with the Los Angeles Clippers. (that's according to Elgin Baylor the Clippers General Manager).

The Lakers caved and re-signed Kobe and traded Shaq for Lamar Odom and Kwame Brown. I decent player and a stiff. But since then it seems the Lakers and snake-bitten. Once they were usually able to get solid players but not now. Now no one wants to play for them and I think no one wants to play with Kobe after he threw Shaq under the bus during the rape interviews by the police after all who would want to play with a snitch.

Now I think the following:

A) Kobe is one of the best players in the NBA. He's one dimensional but so was Jordan
B) Kobe is not a leader. Not that that's not really a bad thing some players are just not leaders. Kobe DOES NOT MAKE PLAYERS AROUND HIM BETTER.
C) This is the most important: The Lakers will not win with him on this team for the reason above. It's sad to say that conserding I think of how great he is but if you take a look he got the players around him HE wanted he got the coach HE wanted and the team is so awful right now it's pathetic.

Anyway that's my view.

Let them Rest

This is at crooksandliars.com

An anti-gay religious group known for protesting at the funerals of American soldiers killed in Iraq is planning on appearing at services for those killed on Monday as well.

The Topeka, Kan.-based Westboro Baptist Church (WBC), which is not affiliated with any national Baptist organization, announced plans to protest at victims' funerals only hours after 32 people were killed in the worst mass shooting in U.S. history. They also may protest at other events on the Virginia Tech campus.

The organization, founded and led by Fred Phelps, believes the United States has condemned itself to destruction by accepting homosexuality and other "sins of the flesh." Phelps' daughter, Shirley Phelps-Roper, said the Virginia Tech teachers and students who died on Monday brought their fate upon themselves by not being true Christians.

"The evidence is they were not Christian. God does not do that to his servants," Phelps-Roper said. "You don't need to look any further for evidence those people are in hell."

Cho Seung-Hui, the Virginia Tech student responsible for the killings who took his own life after the shootings, was sent by God to punish those he killed, and America as a whole, for moral decline, said Phelps-Roper, while adding that she believes Cho is also in hell for violating God's commandment to not kill.

"He is in hell," Phelps-Roper said. "But he was also fulfilling the word of God."

I guess this psychopath didn't see the tape where the killer said he was a Christian (again I ask how many wars, how many of these catastrophe's have been done in the name of Christianity?) and then to say he was "fulfilling the word of god?" If anyone supports the group they are going to hell.

To blame the people who were murdered due to doing what they normally do and to say they are not Christian WHEN IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER WHAT RELIGION THEY ARE is as sad as what Newt said today.

How Not to win a custody battle

Memo to Alec Baldwin if you are in a custody fight things like the message he left on his daughters machine won't help in fact that will probably end any chance you have of getting any custody of your daughter. Here is what he said:(http://www.tmz.com/2007/04/19/alec-baldwins-threatening-message-to-daughter/)

After Ireland failed to answer her father's scheduled phone call from New York on April 11, Alec went berserk on her voice mail, saying "Once again, I have made an ass of myself trying to get to a phone," adding, "you have insulted me for the last time."

Switching his train of thought, Baldwin then exercised his incredible parenting skills and took a shot at his ex-wife, declaring, "I don't give a damn that you're 12-years-old or 11-years-old, or a child, or that your mother is a thoughtless pain in the ass who doesn't care about what you do." The irate Baldwin went on to say, "You've made me feel like s**t" and threatened to "straighten your ass out."

"This crap you pull on me with this goddamn phone situation that you would never dream of doing to your mother," screamed Baldwin, "and you do it to me constantly over and over again."

Before hanging up, Baldwin warned the child, "You better be ready Friday the 20th to meet with me." That's tomorrow.

Nice guy huh?

ok

It took about two days or so for conservatives to blame the shootings at Virginia Tech on liberals. I had Rush's quote the other day and now here is one by Newt Gingrich today on ABC's this week today (thanks to thinkprogress.org)

" I want to say to the elite of this country - the elite news media, the liberal academic elite, the liberal political elite: I accuse you in Littleton…of being afraid to talk about the mess you have made, and being afraid to take responsibility for things you have done, and instead foisting upon the rest of us pathetic banalities because you don’t have the courage to look at the world you have created.”

That was a few years ago

On ABC’s This Week, host George Stephanopoulos asked Gingrich if he would apply those same words to the Virginia Tech tragedy. “Yes,” Gingrich said

Funny that they guy had such EASY ACCESS TO PURCHASING GUNS is the reason and thing like REPUBLICANS LETTING THE BRADY BILL EXPIRING and REPUBLICANS WHO THINK THAT THINGS LIKE VIRGINIA TECH WON'T HAPPEN IF EVERYONE HAS GUNS nothing like that. Conservatives are EXACTLY the ones who caused this. Take a look at the LACK OF GUN CONTROL DUE TO THEM! If you blame anyone A$$HOLE blame yourself!

The Video

I'd like to comment about the video that the Virginia Tech sent to NBC and all networks are showing. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall during the meetings and hear the debate to show it or not. I don't think it was an easy decision but I'd like to keep in mind a couple of things:

A) It gives some answers to why the sick bastard did what he did. Which is something you normally don't see.

B) It is, like it or not, news which is what they are supposed to show.

C) No matter what network the sick bastard sent it to, False News, CBS, NBC, CNN, ABC whoever, the video would have been showed. See above for reasons.

Don't be so quick to blame NBC because let's face it we would be watching no matter who showed it.

A Liberal

God I pray Rush will suffer for this comment (thanks to mediamaters)

LIMBAUGH: If this Virginia Tech shooter had an ideology, what do you think it was? This guy had to be a liberal. You start railing against the rich and all this other -- this guy's a liberal. He was turned into a liberal somewhere along the line. So it's a liberal that committed this act. Now, the drive-bys will read on a website that I'm attacking liberalism by comparing this guy to them. That's exactly what they do every day, ladies and gentlemen. I'm just pointing out a fact. I am making no extrapolation; I'm just pointing it out. They try -- whenever -- I can tell you from the history of this program, starting way back in the early '90s, when there was any kind of an incident, crime or what-have-you that attracted national attention, in the early days of this program, the drive-by media went out and they tried to connect the perpetrator to this program. They did everything they could. In fact, it went so far as Bill Clinton blaming me for influencing Timothy McVeigh to blow up the bureau building [sic: Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City]. These are the people sponsoring lies and distortion for the purposes of dividing this country and creating hatred. These are the people that invented this kind of tactic, if you will.

How disgusting is this guy? I wouldn't care what this psychopath's political views are and if Rush thinks it's important I can't wait to see the hell this drug-addict is going to.

Going Going...

The first blow for the right to choose was given by the United States Supreme Court today as they voted 5-4 (guess who the 5 were) to uphold a ban on partial birth abortions.

I wonder if these so-called "pro-lifers" realize HOW MANY MORE WOMEN AND FETUS' ARE GOING TO DIE AS THEY GET THEIR WAY? You see ladies and gentlemen there were so many deaths before Roe V. Wade was passed it was sick. That's how it's going to be again. Hope you "people" are happy because you are creating more chaos.

Stupid Comments from Guess who?

Wow it didn't take long for the second stupid comments to come from conservatives about the Virgina Tech Shootings. For the first see the post below. Here is the second from Nathanial Blake at Human Events. (thanks to thinkprogress.org):

College classrooms have scads of young men who are at their physical peak, and none of them seems to have done anything beyond ducking, running, and holding doors shut. Meanwhile, an old man hurled his body at the shooter to save others.

Something is clearly wrong with the men in our culture. Among the first rules of manliness are fighting bad guys and protecting others: in a word, courage. And not a one of the healthy young fellows in the classrooms seems to have done that. …

Like Derb, I don’t know if I would live up to this myself, but I know that I should be heartily ashamed of myself if I didn’t. Am I noble, courageous and self-sacrificing? I don’t know; but I should hope to be so when necessary.

So let me understand, men are cowards? At least the men being SHOT AT?? Man this is sick. I don't think he should know what anyone else thinks and to call them cowards is probably the most disgusting thing I've heard.

Virginia Shooting

I want to comment on the shooting rampage at Virginia Tech today. This is a tragedy. This is also proof on how it SHOULDN'T BE EASY TO GET GUNS. There should be so much scrutiny for those who want to get guns it should be a deterrent. I'm sorry for all you gun nuts who feel the opposite but HOW MANY MORE MUST DIE before the fact becomes obvious to you.

By the way ABC NEWS had the following quote today (thanks to americablog.blogspot.com) "It is an act of evil on a scale that we've never seen in this country before."

Now let me see... 9/11, Oklahoma City, how many others??

Immigration

I'm reading Bill O'Idiot's column today in the Los Angeles Daily News and how he hates illegal immigrants. Now says they need to be stopped I'm assuming by deporting them. While that's fine on paper I would like to know how he tends to enforce it.

You see I've said this all along. The reason people come here is jobs. So instead of going after the people go after the people who hire them. Don't give them the incentives to hire illegal immigrants and that is the solution to the problem.

At least that's what I think.

Not just Imus

Now that Don Imus has also been fired by CBS I hope attention is turned to other obvious racists on the radio who have free form to speak the hate. Here is a few people I have in mind (you can imagine who will be in the list) but I will also have the quotes that make me feel this way.

Rush Limbaugh: "Black People can't swim." "[t]he media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well" and, therefore, that McNabb "got a lot of credit for the performance of this team [the Eagles] that he didn't deserve."

Glen Beck to Keith Ellison (D)
"OK. No offense, and I know Muslims. I like Muslims. ... With that being said, you are a Democrat. You are saying, 'Let's cut and run.' And I have to tell you, I have been nervous about this interview with you, because what I feel like saying is, 'Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies.' "

Glen Beck on Katrina victims: "Scumbags"

Neal Boortz on the execution last year of convicted murderer Tookie Williams: "Schwarzenegger knows full well that as soon as Tookie's death is announced there will be riots in South Central Los Angeles and elsewhere." Boortz wrote that "[t]here are thugs just waiting for an excuse ... not a reason, an excuse" and explained that "[t]he rioting, of course, will lead to wide-scale looting."

Bill O'Idiot: On gay marriage ""Nature dictates that a dad and a mom is the optimum" form of child-rearing. O'Reilly asked "why," if children suffer no psychosocial deficit from being raised by same-sex parents, "wouldn't nature then make it that anybody could get pregnant by eating a cupcake?"

on Katina evacuations: many of the poor in New Orleans" did not evacuate the city before Hurricane Katrina because "[t]hey were drug-addicted" and "weren't going to get turned off from their source." O'Reilly added, "They were thugs."

goto mediamaters.com for more racism. The airwaves need to be cleaned up. Imus was step one.

An Apology

Contrary to a lot of people on my side when the alleged Duke Rape case happened I didn't jump to condemn the Lacrosse players. I waited for the facts to come out. Now that ALL of the players have had the charges dropped against them I'm waiting for an apology from people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson who flew down there and humiliated themselves. They definately owe the Duke players an apology as does anyone who convicted them without the facts coming out.

Huh?

Let me get this straight. Bush says he wants to meet with Democrats on the war funding issue AS LONG AS THEY AGREE TO HIS DEMANDS?? What right does Bush have to DEMAND anything? He seems like a little child crying to get his way.

He is losing his grip on reality.

Bye Bye

Hopefully we will hear the end of two saga's in the next few days. NBC has canceled the simulcast of the Don Imus show and now hopefully he will go away and never be heard from again.

Two hopefully we will not hear the name Anna Nicole Smith's name in the news anymore now that they announced who the father of her child was. I'm sorry to sound cold-hearted on this I really am BUT again I never will understand what she has done to garner such celebrity and now that this is over I hope she is able to rest.

Tuesday, April 10, 2007

2 weeks vacation

So Don Imus gets two weeks vacation for those stupid-a$$ comments he made. Wonder when the other networks are going to follow-up on and do the same things for the right-wingers that say racist garbage all the time as they do (if you want proof look in my archives).

Happy Easter

Before I forget I did want to wish everyone a Happy Easter.

This is a Democrat?

I'd like to, courtesy of thinkprogress.org, give a conversation between Bush suck-up Joe Lieberman, Wolf Blitzer, and Arlen Specter (R):

SPECTER: I believe that Assad can be negotiated with. I’ve made 14 trips there, Wolf, in the last two decades, and have been able to be helpful in a number of situations that I can document. And I think opening discussions with Syria are very, very important, and I’d rather Condoleezza Rice did it, but if not, it’s up to Speaker Pelosi and Arlen Specter and others.

BLITZER: What about Senator Lieberman, what do you think?

LIEBERMAN: I respectfully and strongly disagree with Arlen Specter and with Nancy Pelosi. I believe her visit to Syria was a mistake, that it was bad for the United States of America and good for the Syrians. And I say this because we’re in a war. We’re in a war against the Islamic terrorists who attacked us on 9-11-01. Syria is a state sponsor of terrorism.

BLITZER: But they had nothing to do with 9-11.

LIEBERMAN: But they have — but let me tell what you they have to do with what we’re into now. The Bashir Assad Syrian government has allowed terrorists and arms to flow across its country into Iraq that are being used to kill Americans today. Syria has been implicated in the assassination of a very strong popular Lebanese prime minister Rafik Hariri. Syria is supporting Hezbollah, which is trying to unseat our ally, Senora, in Lebanon. Syria is supporting the terrorist group Hamas against our allies in the Fatah Palestinian movement, and of course, Israel. The administration, in all fairness — people in Washington should know, if they don’t know, the administration has been trying in many ways, in diplomatic discussions with Syria since 9-11, to get Assad to change his behavior and he has not. When Nancy Pelosi goes there, she sends a message of disunity. She legitimizes the Syrian goverment.

BLITZER: So I assume you disagree with Senator Specter’s decision. I want Senator Specter to respond. Why do you think Senator Lieberman, Senator Specter, is wrong?

SPECTER: I believe in the maxim, hold your friends close and your enemies closer. President Ronald Reagan declared the Soviet Union to be the evil empire, and immediately thereafter undertook negotiations with them. Look, Assad is not a boy scout, but we have to deal with him. he’s there. In my conversation with him, I think there are ways to get him to stop arming Hezbollah and to stop arming Hamas. They came on the brink of a solution to the Golan Heights in 1995 and again in the year 2000. That was done by active negotiation that President Clinton engaged in. So there are ways to move through it, and to isolate them has not been successful.

So let me get this straight, according to Lieberman SYRIA attacked us on 9/11?? Did I see that correctly?? How sick is this idiot? Whatever he's on I need some PRONTO!

Over The Top??

So Bill O'Idiot, in his column in the Los Angeles Daily News thinks Rosie O'Donnell is over the top in what she says. While I'm not disagreeing with that statement I wonder O'Idiot realizes some of the things he has said, or Ann Coulter, or Rush, or Chris Matthews or Glen Beck or Larry Elder or so many of HIS contemporaries have stated that make what she says sound like nothing.

Really what she is saying is what a majority of Americans say in EVERY poll that's taken which is they don't like/trust/believe the Bush Administration just like they rambled on and CONTINUE to ramble about Democrats. Really she says what they say but the anger is cause she is against the psychopath in the White House.

So if she is over the top what does that make O'Idiot is my question.

Irony

I so love the hypocrisy on the right. Speaker Nancy Pelosi visit's Syria and according to the right-wing media and the Bush Administration pretty much the world is coming to an end because of it YET RIGHT NOW Republican Dan Issa (R, Ca.) is visiting Syrian President and I haven't heard a DAMN thing from the righties. Hypocrisy at it's best right now.

You See

A memo to the right-wingers who have the shoot first, shoot last, and shoot anytime attitude: NEGOTIATIONS SOMETIMES WORK. Take a look as Iran agreed to release the soldiers they were holding for allegedly straying into their waters. Now I'm not saying they work all of the time and war and attacking isn't necessary but it should always be the FIRST option and not the last.

Tuesday, April 03, 2007

Wow

So Bush, as he is preparing to leave on his vacation (mind you he has more vacation days then ANY other President) is calling Congress and the Senate (also on vacation) to come back and pass legislation he can sign. Well here is the hint IDIOT they did pass legislation and you get everything you want IDIOT it's now up to you to sign it or not. The ball is in YOUR court not anyone else's! You will either listen to the MAJORITY of the people or not. Do you want your party to regain Congress and Senate and retrain the Presidency or not. The choice is yours.

Safe?

Just as John McCain, weasel, Bush Apologist, whatever said how safe it is to walk the streets of Bagdad in Iraq who was that I saw walking in Bagdad today surrounded by security guards?? Oh yeah John McCain.

Safe indeed.

Our business?

Just wondering what business it is of Bush to comment on the British hostages? Unless of course he is trying to egg on another invasion of another country.

No sense

I'd like to talk about something that make little sense to me. Circuit City announced they are laying off 3200 people who are "making too much money" aka about $15.00 per hour and they will replace them with lower wage earners. Here is my real question: Instead of laying off the people on the bottom why don't they do the following which will save them more money-

Anyone who makes over $100,000 a year takes an immediate %20 pay cut. Wouldn't that save them even more money?

That's my thought.
