New England Patriots 3
So more then 50 % of the Super Bowl games have been won by 6 teams.
Baseball in the same time
New York Yankees: 7
St. Louis Cardinals 3
Oakland A's 4
Other then that no one dominating.

A couple of corrections:
Pittsburgh's won it 6 times (lost twice)
You forgot your Raiders have won it 3 times also. The Redskins have also won it 3 times.
List of Super Bowl Champions
The NFL does have a salary cap meaning basically, a team's success depends on the Owner, GM, and coaching staff. The best-run teams are the ones you see in the playoffs most years.
What's happening in MLB is just sad.
