I can certainly understand this one. No one, and I mean no one, with any common sense can comprehend any logic behind the whole port deal.
Isn't it ALMOST aiding the enemy? They sure aren't our friends.
It is unimportant whether or not they are our friends. I personally believe, that with all the paranoia about secutity in the United States that we allow any company from outside the United States to have such control over our security-sensitive ports. That includes the British company as well as the American ports where China has commercial control.
What really seems stupid to me is how anybody thought this deal would go through unnoticed. This was bound to blow up in the faces of those involved as it has.
Then again whatever Bush wants Bush gets no matter how much of a detriment it is to our security.
