A Grim Day
So 10 years ago yesterday was one of the most grim days in American History. The Supreme Court decided YOUR vote did not matter and awarded the 2000 election to George Bush. And look where we today cause of it.

Who is really to blame?
So with all the anger directed to President Obama I would like to ask who is really to blame? (And no I'm not going to blame the enemy party on this) Democrats in the Senate had this for a long time and they, instead of putting to a vote in say, the summer, put it off until the last minute. What did you think the enemy party would do? They had nothing to lose. They were in a position of strength on this from my view because they control the media and no matter what happened Obama would be to blame as they always do.
Take a look if the tax cuts expired the right wing media would call him a tax raiser (which is a lie) and now since he reached an agreement he is known by the same right wing media as someone who caves.

Deal or....
So the Pres made a deal with the enemy party on tax cuts( that is my name for Republicans from now on the enemy party). I don't understand the anger directed toward the President. If no deal was reached with the enemy party, tax cuts for people who need them were expiring and those who were already hurting would hurt even more. The benefits would run out for those who need jobs, and it would make a bad situation created by the enemy party even worse. But really I always wonder why the enemy party always talks about the deficit when the tax cuts the wealthy are creating a bigger deficit. Oh yeah I always forget the enemy party is a bunch of hypocrites.

Some facts
I think we need to re-visit some history... President Bill Clinton raised taxes.... we had the one of the greatest economic booms in history. We had a huge budget surplus. We had low unemployment and times were good. Bush took over. Gave tax cuts to the wealthy. They, instead of using the Republican trickle down theory which never works, pocketed the money. Jobs started to go, the deficit ran wild (as it always does under Republican rule) and we were on the verge of a second great depression.
Who had a better economic policy?

Double Standard
I am probably the last person who anyone would think would defend USC considering I am a UCLA fan but I have to in the case. The NCAA just set a dangerous double standard where USC was (I feel rightfully) punished for breaking NCAA rules in the Reggie Bush case yet Auburn (the evidence is there) gets off without anything in Cam Newton case. Both have many of the same cases when it comes to their parents and both should be treated in the same manor. NCAA you screwed up completely and since you let Auburn go you should reinstate USC immediately.

Isn't it obvious
Isn't it obvious insane John McCain is a liar? He said he'll listen to the soldiers on the ground, he said he'll listen to the Generals, he said he would wait for the Pentagon report and if told to repeal the horrible Don't Ask Don't Tell policy (signed by Bill Clinton for a strange reason) he would.. Well now that the report was released saying how soldiers wouldn't care if there were openly gay soldiers in their unit his response "the wrong questions were asked". Just say what you are really thinking which is of course you don't want gay soldiers in the military instead of hiding this obvious fact you damn liar.

This is a priority?
So Republicans sent a letter saying they are going to block ALL legislation until they get their tax cuts for the millionaires. What does that say about bi-partisanship? What does that say how they feel about people who actually deserve tax cuts? What does it say how they feel about America? It says like everything else they do is they hate Americans and they hate the worker.

Do it finally
So Robert Gates released the long awaited report about don't ask don't tell. It said what sane people are saying and that most soldiers wouldn't care if it was repealed. OK Republicans other then racist homophobes (and yes being against gay people is considered racism) you have no more excuses other then that.
