This isn't on Roseanne at all. This is on ABC. It's well documented she has been like this a long time. ABC still hired her (again) for the show.

When Trump said that, he was obviously referring to the character "Roseanne Conner" and not the celebrity Roseanne.
The character "Roseanne Conner" is a midwestern, grumpy, woman who struggled all her life to raise a family, keep a job, and deal with life's problems.
The celebrity "Roseanne" is an attention-grabbing media whore who is a Bush-bashing, Clinton and Obama supporting liberal activist! Any Republican who actually thinks she's on their side is a total fool.
With all the liberal crap she's said over the years bashing Catholics, Jews, and Mormons, she would be invited to speak and nobody ever considered cancelling her show.
As one opinion I saw today stated, ABC doesn't hate Roseanne, they hate the viewers of the show.
