Old Friend

I was saddened to see that they imploded the Frontier Hotel in Las Vegas yesterday. I have a lot of fond memories of times I've stayed there and it will be missed as yet another monstrosity is built. The old Las Vegas is going away hotel by hotel.

The one constant in life is change. Las Vegas will just keep growing as long as people are willing to travel from all over the globe and empty their pockets and purses there.

On my last visit there in September (Since my mother is here, I won't be going there every month any more), I've noticed how the Strip is being stretched southward. Soon, Mandalay Bay won't be the beginning.

Hell I remember when the Trop was pretty much the beginning. Hopefully I'll see you Friday.

Heck, I remember when the Tropicana was completely refurbished and was the "hottest" place on the Strip. Now, its an also-ran.

I believe I will be there Friday.

I'm not surprised.
