Wow

It's not often I'm moved by a speech. As I said he needed to score and I would say not only did Obama score a touchdown but he made the two point conversion. That was an amazing speech. Bravo.

A big night

What great speeches (words I never thought I'd say ever) from both Hillary and Bill Clinton over the last couple of nights as well as I would like to give special recognition to Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer who complete blew the roof off the Pepsi Center (even though none of the networks covered his speech thank god for C-Span.

I don't know what to expect from tonights speech from Obama. I hope he gets a home run (or a touchdown since it is where the Broncos play) but I wonder if too much is expected from him tonight. I guess we will find out.

A good idea

Considering how liberal (and proud of it) I am this view might surprise some people. I see where the LPGA is making it's golfers speak English only on the tour. I have no problem with that. I feel if you are in America you should be expected to know English just like if I were to take a job in Italy (which if more of the same McCain steals the election which is the only way he'll win) I would have to learn Italian. As I said I have no problems with that idea at all.

So they begin

Over the next two weeks we have the Democratic and Republican conventions. You will hear speech upon speech on who people believe will be best to run the country. One question does anyone else find it ironic that the Republican convention starts on Labor Day? After all who has done less for the working man then the Republican Party especially under the current administration.

An Add that should be made

I would love to see this add by Obama (mind you more of the same McCain has already started with these dirty tactics):

All he has to do is continuously play more of the same McCain saying he doesn't know how many houses he owns.

Think about it if he is that out of touch how is he supposed to lead?

And one other add that Obama should play is how more of the same McCain saying how McCain thinks if you make over $5,000,000 you are rich. Which more of the same McCain said at the joke of a presidential forum. But then again he attacked Obama yesterday saying how Obama made $4 million last year. But by more of the same McCain's own words that's not rich. All Obama has to do is make an add showing how out of touch with reality more of the same McCain is. I mean really with the 8 houses more of the same McCain owns (and hasn't paid taxes on) who is an elitist?

What else

What else will more of the same McCains lie about? I mean in one interview Cindy McCain (you remember the person more of the same John McCain had an affair with) claims that she is an only child and it turns out she has a half sister. Last I checked that means she is NOT an only child. What else will they lie about??

I'm glad

I'm glad I don't believe in polls. They would just show how stupid the American people are. They show more of the same John McCain gaining on the next president Barack Obama even though McCain has yet to show an original idea. He has none. All he has said is he will continue Bush's failed policies that has led our country in a recession and a borderline depression. He won't do a damn thing.

You know with all the talk about drilling which won't work why isn't the fact that the oil companies are exporting 1.8 billion barrels of oil to countries like China and Russia? Why isn't that being used here where it's needed and what will make prices drop?

And another thing remember how the right-wing media touted how the government of Iraq signed a contract with the big oil companies? Well that's done as they have gone with China instead. So why again are we there? Why is Bush murdering our soldiers? And why isn't this being talked about?

Who will it be

So I guess at sometime this week we will know the next President Barack Obama's Vice President. I feel his choice is more important then more of the same McCain because I truly feel there is going to be an attempt on Obama's life and the fact that there are so many right-wing media types who encourage violence and since they are sheep they will follow them. I hope he picks a strong choice.


As far as more of the same McCain I have a feeling it's going to be Joe Lieberman. I don't know why but I've always felt that. He will announce his pick after the Democratic Convention

Who REALLY gets it

Once again Barack Obama is the one WHO truly understands where the United States should stand in the world and not more of the same John McCain. If you have a chance check out Obama's speech today after more of the same McCain wrongly called him a traitor in his speech. Obama had the best response. As always more of the same McCain looks like a baby sucking his thumb.

After watching the Presidential Forum on Saturday hosted by Rick Warren I was wondering if we still have separation of church and state? If so then his tax-exempt status should be taken away immediately and the fact that this person has so much power where he can get both more of the same McCain and Obama is disgusting.

More violence

More Violence against Democrats yesterday as the head of the DNCC in Arkansas was killed by a gunman. I blame the right wing media on this. I have quotes from them that encouraging violence against Democrats and as I have posted before it was a matter of time before stupid followers of theirs took them up on this. Big Difference

So here is the big difference between Robert and myself. I will say something and explain why I am saying that with links to stories and quotes from the people I'm talking about. Robert on the other hand will make a quote and do nothing to back it up.

Here is two examples of recent posts. Robert said that I cannot call more of the same McCain a racist in fact, here is his quote "I'm no fan of McCain but calling him a racist is totally uncalled for.

You should tread carefully here Erik. It is Obama who is showing himself to be racist."

First that sounds like a threat to me. Second there is no explanation why Robert feels that way as always third it's a false statement. I have examples why I made my statement and why I feel that way. Robert is as usual blank other then saying right-wing talking points and not having a mind of his own.

And I should "tread carefully" sounds like a threat. I'm looking at the facts starting with his voting record (which again I have in my archives) and basing on that as well as quotes (which I have also in my archives) and actions like the previous couple of posts down.

By the way Robert you also falsely claimed Obama will be worse then more of the same McCain yet again never offered explanations why. So as usual you make a baseless argument like the Republican poster boy you are.

Just wondering

Using the idiot in the White House's philosophy I'm wondering why he isn't attacking Russia since the people in the country of Georgia actually want freedom? Isn't that one of the reasons why Bush claimed he attacked Iraq? Oh wait wasn't it weapons of mass destruction (which Russia has) or links to terrorism (which Russia has).

Oh wait Russia will destroy us. Nevermind.

Affairs

In the wake of John Edwards admitting to having an affair with someone and of course the right-wing media jumping all over it even though Edwards isn't running for anything anymore I would like to remind everyone how more of the same Mccain also had an affair with his current wife while still married to his first wife(and if you look in my archives you fill find links) and the media is not covering that at all.

Again just a reminder cause we need to be talking about this and the reasons I'm harder on Republicans on this issue is they are the ones who claim they are the party of family values. They sure don't show it.

Gee does anyone remember how more of the same McCain said he was going to run a different kind of campaign? I do.
