Tell Me

Can someone tell me what the hell Ronald Reagan did that was so great? I mean seriously if you take a look during his 8 years the two things Republicans claim he did he had either a) nothing at all to do with (ending communism) or broke the law and he should have been in jail (Iran-Contra) so tell me what did he do that makes him great?
