Remember When?

Remember when Alaska had the Exxon Valdez disaster? The only thing that the spill in the gulf could be compared to? You know how the alleged liberal media treated the first Bush?

Bush wasn't at all blamed for that disaster in fact the media gave him a free ride.

Again I ask what liberal media?

Unbelievable

So they had hearing yesterday with the head of BP. We had the usual lies from the head saying he had no idea what was going on but that's not why I'm angry cause that would be what was expected. Why I'm angry is how Republican Joe Barton APOLOGIZED TO BP for having to put up a 20 Billion dollar fund for paying for the cleanup for their mess. There are Republicans who think BP shouldn't have to pay for the cleanup it should be paid for the taxpayer. He actually called the money a "slush fund". He is echoing the opinions of Republican leaders like the drug addict and Michelle Bachman. If there is ever a reason to NEVER vote Republican again it's cause of that one statement.

Silence

So remember when Family Guy a few months back made a passing reference to drama queen Sarah Palin on a show and how the right threw a fit saying how they were attacking her children when they weren't? So I'm wondering if you aren't allowed to attack polititions kids how come drug addict Limbaugh and psycho Beck are doing it consistantly? And how come no one who was attacking Family Guy is attacking these heartless individuals?

Or it's ok to attack cause he's a Democrat like they did to Clinton's Daughter.

What will happen

One thing we know is going to happen, again thanks to a law proposed by Bush and passed by the Republican Senate and Congress, is BP will eventually file for bankruptcy to avoid paying claims. The oil disaster in the gulf is yet another example how de-regulation will never work. This, the mining disasters, Wall Street (signed by Bill Clinton). How many more failures cause of de-regulation have to occur before they shut the hell up regarding this.

Anyone??

Has anyone noticed Meg Whittman's adds? I haven't seen ONE that shows what her plans our for California if she is elected Gov. Not ONE. All I've seen from her are attack ads on her opponents whether it was her primary, or Jerry Brown. Just shows how yet another Republican has no ideas but what else is new.

Good News But

So the good news is they reached 16 year old Abby Sunderland and she's ok. Apparently she said, and it's ok with her parents, that she wants to try to sail solo around the world again and break the world. That's fine with me as we have a desire to be the best. What I have a problem with in this whole thing is the fact that you and I taxpayer has to pay for her rescue like now and if she does it again and needs help so I have a simple proposal: When attempts like this happen people have to put up a $5 million dollar bond and if he/she is successful on their journey and don't need assistance in any way they get it back. That way taxpayers don't have to put up with the bill if they need help.

Hammer Dropped

So the hammer dropped on the USC Football program. Sanctions include a two year ban on postseason appearences, loss of 20 scholarships, vacated wins from their undefeated 2004 season among other things. No wonder Pete Carroll bailed on them since he was involved in the problem. Of course why Mike Garrett is still there I don't know. I know how this type of problem would be fixed and that is to pay the athletes but I know that won't happen. It is unknown whether they will have to vacate the National Championship they won in 2004 but if they have to vacate wins I don't see how they can't as well as Reggie Bush's Heisman Trophy. Bottom line they broke rules and they got caught.

So Helen Thomas, one of the toughest White House Reporters for years, resigned after making disgusting anti-jewish comments over the weekend. Now if onely other people were fired for making similar if not worse comments. Here are a few:

The drug addict:

Pat Buchanan

Bill O'Reilly

She had every right to say, hateful as it is, what she said but she is also responsible for what she said.

Expansion??

So the rumor has it that the Pac-10 wants to expand it's football conference to include teams from the Big-12 if Nebraska and Missouri move to the Big-10. Teams like Texas, Oklahoma etc. I have an idea that would I think be more "traditional" for the Pac-10 if they want to expand. Add from the following teams if they are interested in joining the conference:

Hawaii
Boise St
BYU
Utah
Utah State
Fresno State
UNLV
Nevada-Reno

What an idiot

So I think we have one of the worst idiots in Bud Selig. We have a kid who pitched a perfect game and due to one of the worst calls in history didn't get it. Selig can overturn the ump. It's been done before (like in 1983 and the infamous pine tar game with George Brett) but Selig refuses. I mean the ump said he blew it the Cleveland Indians player said he was out all he has to do is say the ump was wrong and I'm overturning it. All the moron says is that we will look into expanding instant replay (which should be done anyway).
