So the NHL announced realignment and I'd like to suggest the following to football:
AFC East:
New England
NY JETS
NY GIANTS
Buffalo
AFC South:
Jacksonville
Miami
Tampa Bay
Atlanta
AFC North:
Pittsburgh
Indianapolis
Cincinnati
Cleveland
AFC West
Oakland
San Diego
San Francisco
Seattle
NFC East
Philadelphia
Baltimore
Washington
Carolina
NFC South
New Orleans
Dallas
Houston
St. Louis
NFC North
Green Bay
Chicago
Detroit
Minnesota
NFC West
Kansas City
Denver
Arizona
And the team I'm drawing a blank on right now which is pissing me off :)

Tennesee in the only team out of whack
I see no need to change the way it is. This isn't baseball, where travelling across the country multiple times in one week is a real issue.
We'd also lose a couple of good rivalries.
Pittsburgh - Baltimore
Giants - Eagles
Also, it's cool that several states have one team in the AFC and one in the NFC and probably prefer it that way - Florida, Pennsylvania, Texas, and New Jersey.
I like it that the Dodgers and Angels are in different leagues. I liked it when the Rams and Raiders were in different conferences.
The fact that the Clippers and Lakers are in the same division actually isn't fair to the rest of the NBA since neither has to travel and all the games feel like home games. Same with the Ducks and Kings.
I forgot Florida has two teams in the AFC. I forgot Jacksonville.
But if you think about it..... Why shouldn't the New York teams play each other? How about all the cali teams? The Texas teams?? The Florida teams? You would gain some big rivalries too.
But why change at all?
