Assisted Suicide

I'd like to talk about something I don't recall talking about before and that's assisted suicide. I support that for those who are terminally ill but there is something that happened I heard about that I think is wrong. There is a person named Sir Edward Downs who was a composer. He flew his terminally ill wife to Switzerland and his wife and himself killed themselves with assisted suicide. Now as I said his wife, who was ill is one thing but he was healthy and while to grieve over his wife is one thing, he also killed himself with the same cocktail that killed his wife and I think that is wrong and the people who sponsored that should be prosecuted for murder.

He WASN'T healthy. He was nearly blind and deaf, which for a composer is pretty devastating. He might have outlived his wife, and he decided that with all his own health problems, he didn't want to. I don't agree with what he did, and especially don't like that it's so easily available, but it did come from his own quality of life decision. What I want to know is, did they both receive adequate treatment for depression?

It wasn't so easy he had to fly to Switzerland or someplace to do it. I want to also know why it was ok with their children
