So GOP Senate Candidate Todd Akin thinks the voting rights act of 1965, which basically meant every person has a right to vote, should be overturned.

It's really pathetic when it's easier in this country to buy guns for no other reason then to kill people then it is to vote.

With the latest dust up with Mitt Romney's lack of disclosure of his taxes I'd like to really point out a couple of things:

If you have nothing to hide why don't you release them? That's what every Presidential nominee does. And what I would say would be to the effect of yes, I don't pay much in taxes, that's why we need to change the tax code.

Taking a look

I'm not defending Zimmerman but let's take a look at a few facts here.

First off. I understand why people are pissed. Trust me there is every right to be. How would anyone feel if that was there son being shot for just walking around. We have a guy who sounds racist on the 911 tapes, who has made several calls to 911 and decided to take matters in his own hands. Those are facts.

Sadly though, according to Florida law, there has been no crime committed. The law states if you feel threatened, even though the cops told Zimmerman not to follow him and he CHOSE to, you can legally shoot someone FOR ANY REASON. You can look at someone wrong and be shot. That is how the law is written.

That being said with Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton in the like instead of protesting in the town in Florida where the tragic incident took place, they need to protest AND SUE the likes of those responsible for bringing the law about so this tragedy could take place. That's the only way true change can happen.

With the reckless feeling the Republicants have about Iran I would like to remind the following:

Bush's strategy in both Iraq and Afghanistan was basically to dump it on his successor. He had no set plan which is why so many died unnecessarily. If Bush had a proper plan, perhaps lives would have been saved.

That being said with what I feel is an inevitable war with Iran no matter who is President, any war can be won with a proper plan. You have to  have smart people around you who know what the hell they are doing. Otherwise the war will be lost before it begins.

So what has he said

So with all the people convinced that President Obama is going to take away their guns (which I wish would happen) I wonder what has he exactly said that would get them to think that? He hasn't but that's not the point to these nutjobs

Why else

Why else would Republicants attack again on President Obama's religion.... I mean the economy is improving despite Republicants best efforts to derail it, they can't attack on military after all President Obama had the courage to give the order to kill Bin Laden when Bush was afraid.... That's the only thing they can do... Keep in mind how companies are making record profits and the dow is right near 13000 again... Republicants have nothing to offer.

I don't know

There was an op ed piece in the Los Angeles Times saying it would be extremely foolish for Israel to attack Iran.

As I said I think it's inevitable with war with Iran. I do. I think if Iran is developing nuclear weapons Israel would be right to attack them. However I hope Israel weighs the consequences of such an attack. By treaty the United States will defend Israel and we would be right to do so. I just hope cooler head avail right now but I don't think so cause if Israel attacks Iran before an actual threat all bets are off and any ounce of goodwill Israel has in the region will be gone and World War 3 will begin.

I would like to extend condolences to the family of Hall of Fame Catcher Gary Carter who died yesterday from complications of Brain Cancer. I always loved watching him play and his loss is tough. I know Repulblicants don't like this but the unemployment rate is getting better. Down to 8.3% vs 10% when President Obama took office. Now it's nowhere near where the level should be BUT it's heading in the right direction despite Republicants best efforts to destroy the economy.

So I'm still waiting to hear from a Republicant to say what exactly President Obama has done against religion. I hear there is a war against it but I haven't seen any laws signed by the President, or any executive orders signed by the President, indicating anything is being done against any religion.
