So I'm reading Jonathan Chait's column in today's Los Angeles Times where he talks about (R) Senator Goerge Allen. For those unaware he is the Senator from Virginia who has made several racist remarks recently. The remarks Chait is refering to is Allen's first odd remarks calling a gentleman of Indian decent "Macaca" which is in Indian terms racist.
Now that could have been a mistake. I let that one go that's why I didn't talk about it much. But since then there have been several other cases which shows his racism. First in his debate against Democratic challenger Jim Webb. He was asked about his Jewish heritage when it was well known he was raised that way. Not only did he deny that, but he ANGRILY put down the reporter who "dared" to ask him that. Again it's well known his mother was Jewish.
Now we turn to this week. Several reports indicate that he once but a dear's head in a black families mailbox and he used to go around college saying the "n" word regarding African-American. PLUS the fact he is a member of a group simular to the KKK called the CCC. And if you go to their website you can see what they are all about it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what he is about.
Just another in a long line of Republicans with simular thoughts.
