Predictions

Ok I promised a few predictions. Some will be serious some will be funny(or at least try to be)

Bush will continue to make a mockery of laws in this country as he has done so many times before

The United States, under Bush's "leadership", will continue to be the most hated country in the world

Memphis will win the NCAA Basketball Championship. UCLA will make the Final Four again and USC will make the sweet 16

The Detroit Tigers will win the World Series

The New England Patriots will win the Super Bowl (duh)

Congress and Senate will not impeach Bush or Cheney despite the numerous laws they broke and will continue to break

Nothing will come out of the destroyed CIA tapes even though anyone with half a brain knows Bush/Cheney authorized it

The mainstream media will continue to give Bush a pass despite scandal after scandal

Congress and Senate unfortunately still will not develop a spine and challenge Bush

Despite good efforts from the Bush Administration there will still not be a peace deal in the middle east between Israel and Palestine

The winner of the Presidential Election will be:

(Yeah like I know)

The media will still rather talk about famous people being arrested instead of actual issues

USC will win the Rose Bowl (again duh)

Bush will continue to ignore states with natural disasters

The writers strike will be settled sometime before the Academy Awards

Republicans will continue to ignore Global Warming despite the obvious effects it is causing in the United States

There will be no "fair and balanced" radio. My definition of fair and balanced is for every conservative host there is a liberal host. Ladies and gentlemen that's fair.

The housing crisis will create a recession but it will correct itself after about a year

I don't wanna know how high gas prices will go. All I know is in 2002 gas was $1.55 a gallon now under Bush's torture we see it well over $3.00

Well that's all I have for now I hope everyone does have a happy New Year as always do not drink and drive and I will see everyone next year

No, that's Socialism.

I realize Robert you being a conservative like the media as it is those of us who are sane do not

I was watching right-wing CNN yesterday and they were showing all the Republicans full stump speeches and only parts of Democrats. That's fair. Not.

Fox: Yeah we know what they are about

MSNBC: All Conservative except for Keith Olberman.

You can pretty much count liberal talk show hosts on two hands while conservatives you need a phone book.

Even Jay Leno has Republican Govs, Presidential candidates so we know where he lies.

Instead of addressing my argument about Government-forced programming being socialism, you just continue to beat your own drum.

Why do you do this? Its because you have no argument!

By the way, CNN admits they are left-biased. David Letterman has openly ridiculed Bush. Jay Leno (who always has been classier and funnier than Letterman) has never openly stated his politics other than saying he usually votes for Democrats. He also has Democrat politicians on his show.

But I know you will just continue to beat the drum so why am I bothering?

First off I never said Government forced stations. I said IF I OWNED A STATION! That's why YOUR argument makes no sense. It's obvious YOU don't pay attention to what I SAY. I never said in any way shape or form Government should or will ever take this but I wouldn't but anything past Bush trying.

Robert E Wilson said...

"My definition of fair and balanced is for every conservative host there is a liberal host. Ladies and gentlemen that's fair."

I repeat your quote as you have now stated that it was if you "OWNED A STATION!". I don't see that here or anywhere else so you're lying.

Now maybe I took too much from your statement above but I assumed you were referring to the "Fairness" Doctrine that is supported by Nancy Pelosi and others.

The "Fairness" (NOT) Doctrine has the government in control of programming. That's Socialism and about as un-American as one can get.

Erik said...

Robert you don't pay attention you just look to attack like a typical right-winger you are. I never read about Pelosi and the fairness doctrine honestly I am not a fan of Pelosi to begin with.

Robert E Wilson said...

I already said "maybe I took too much from your statement" so I admitted being wrong. I notice you take no responsibility for your "I said IF I OWNED A STATION!" comment.

I'm surprised you never heard of the Fairness Doctrine as it is exactly about this subject - that is, requiring radio stations to provide equal time to both sides of an issue.

Some may see that as fair but I see it as government control of programming.

Erik said...

I believe it's a stations choice to run what program they want. If I had a station I would want all sides. That's me. Government will never control radio that's you believing people like Rush Limbaugh who say that. The Fairness thing you mentioned might be a bill that's out there but I guarantee you it will never see the light of day. Companies like Clear Channel will never allow that to happen.

Erik said...

The reason I dislike Pelosi is she, like Harry Reed in the Senate, are afraid to stand up to Bush. They are cowards in my opinion.

Wikipedia - Fairness Doctrine

Erik, the "Fairness" Doctrine was in force from the late 1940's to 1987 when it was finally ruled unconstitutional. So I have to laugh when you guarantee it will "never see the light of day".

Erik said...

And when it died out drug addicts like Rush came about. Can I get any thoughts of my other predictions.?

Robert E Wilson said...

Well, if you really want my opinion... (you probably don't)

Bush will continue to make a mockery of laws in this country as he has done so many times before

So many laws, so little time (< one year). I don't even want to touch this one since I'm not aware of any laws he's broken.

The United States, under Bush's "leadership", will continue to be the most hated country in the world

France and Germany like us now. Actually, who cares? They don't like us? Screw them! We're not here to appease the world. It was these other screwed up countries that made our forefathers and foremthers flee here to begin with.

Memphis will win the NCAA Basketball Championship. UCLA will make the Final Four again and USC will make the sweet 16

Since I don't follow or care about College Basketball, I predict that the team that scores the most points in the final game will be champ.

The Detroit Tigers will win the World Series

Fair enough, but the free agent signing is far from over. I'll pick Boston.

The New England Patriots will win the Super Bowl (duh)

I'll go out on a limb and say it will be the Colts.

Congress and Senate will not impeach Bush or Cheney despite the numerous laws they broke and will continue to break

Hard to impeach a President who has not committed any real crime.

Nothing will come out of the destroyed CIA tapes even though anyone with half a brain knows Bush/Cheney authorized it

I must have a whole brain then.

The mainstream media will continue to give Bush a pass despite scandal after scandal

I really have to wonder how you know about these scandals if the media isn't reporting them.

Congress and Senate unfortunately still will not develop a spine and challenge Bush

Because the new Democrats in Congress said what you wanted to hear to get elected, but are smart enough to know that we need to stay in Iraq. They will whine about it now and then to make you think otherwise, though.

Despite good efforts from the Bush Administration there will still not be a peace deal in the middle east between Israel and Palestine

Funny how you think this was a good effort and I think it was a complete waste of time. (You are such a Bush supporter!)

The winner of the Presidential Election will be:

Alan Rosenberg Oh, did you mean the U.S. Presidential Election?

The media will still rather talk about famous people being arrested instead of actual issues

Whatever gets them ratings.

USC will win the Rose Bowl (again duh)

This being January, 4, I agree whole-heartedly

Bush will continue to ignore states with natural disasters

Is he paying attention to states without them? If you hate him so much, why do you want him sticking his nose where it doesn't belong?

The writers strike will be settled sometime before the Academy Awards

You mean the Academy Awards of 2010, right?

Republicans will continue to ignore Global Warming despite the obvious effects it is causing in the United States

It's really hard to develop the technology to create more sunspots to increase the solar wind in order to create more cloud formations. They're working on it though.

There will be no "fair and balanced" radio. My definition of fair and balanced is for every conservative host there is a liberal host. Ladies and gentlemen that's fair.

When you acquire that radio station that you did not mention here but did later, I'll be interested in finding out how well that works out for you.

The housing crisis will create a recession but it will correct itself after about a year

I wonder what makes you say that.

I don't wanna know how high gas prices will go. All I know is in 2002 gas was $1.55 a gallon now under Bush's torture we see it well over $3.00

Bush's torture? Yeah, that makes sense.

Robert anytime Cheney has refused to release documents that's obstruction of justice which is a crime (at least that's what Republicans said it was when Bill Clinton did it.
