Bill O'Reilly

I read Bill O'Reilly's column today in the Los Angeles Daily News today on Sunday the 15th of May he basically stated that children should not read books that talk about diversity in society. He talked about a book that was taught in Mass. that talked about different kinds of families: mixed race,traditional and gay and lesbian and since we know his stance against gay and lesbians couples he is against teaching people about that at a young age.

He states when he was growing up my guess would be sometime in the 50's or so he thought gay meant happy until he was 11 years old. What he fails to realize is kids today are so much more mature today in 2005 then they were back then and even when I was growing up in the 70's and 80's. Mr O'Reilly and his bunch who are against diversity need to realize that if it is not taught at a young age, there will be more racists and intollerant people in the world like himself and the right-wing nutcases dream about.

Problem is you right-wingers want to turn society back to the 50's which is not realistic we need to teach people diversity especially since we are a diverse society of different groups of people from all over the world and if we don't start people again at a young age so they can understand, society will be doomed to repeat past sins regarding race!
