Horror Films

So I figure since Halloween is tomorrow I wanted to list my 5 favorite horror films. Mind you this is my opinion and I'd like to know what anyone else list would be. To me I feel no reason is necessary as the films are scary.

5) Silence of the Lambs.
4) The Omen
3) Dracula
2) Jaws
1) The Exorcist

Which Omen? (Please don't say the recent remake?)

Which Dracula? My favorite is the BBC version.

When I say the movies I do not say remakes. Trust me the originals are so much better 100% of the time.

Dracula the original as well.

I couldn't even list Poltergeist which is another favorite.

Remakes almost never measure up to the originals but there are a few exceptions. The Thomas Crown Affair comes to mind.

I assume that when you refer to the original Dracula, you mean the 1931 Bela Lugosi version (there are earlier silent versions).

I always thought that one was weak and hokey, even for a 1930 film. There are several remakes of Dracula that I feel are superior including the 1958 Horror of Dracula with Christopher Lee (the best actor to ever play Dracula). The 1973 Jack Palance version is very good and the forementioned 1977 BBC version with Louis Jordan is also good.

The Gary Oldman one directed by Francis Ford Coppola is awful.
