Interesting Week

So this week was quite interesting. Wanted to review what we have learned.

A) Rush Limbaugh can attack the troops and it's called in the media freedom of speech YET moveon attacks Petraeus and they get a senate resolution condemning them. A side note that proves the media with the unbalanced coverage IS NOT LIBERAL!

B) We learned George Bush doesn't care about children as he vetoed a bill that would give children health care coverage.

C) We learned George Bush, the commander in chief, lies to the troops when he says the whatever service they join will pay for their education cause they don't.

D) We learned that Larry Craig is blind to the fact that he is gay and blind to the fact that he plead guilty and he is hurting his party by refusing to step down.

E) We were reminded that the Republican National Convention next year will be held about 8 miles from where Craig had his fun.

F) We were reminded how USC and UCLA have a long way to go in the football as they both suffered embarrassing losses yesterday.

A) While I am hardly the one to defend Rush, he attacked certain individuals. He did not attack "the troops". MoveOn.org attacked an individual (although it implied an attack of the entire administration). Admittedly, the Republicans over-reacted to this. They should have ignored it but what does this have to do with the media? Both stories were covered by it.

B) You like it nice and simple don't you? Bush needs to make important decisions about where federal spending goes (and naturally, the federal government is about security and defense according to the Constitution). So naturally, any veto regarding children not getting federal funds must mean that George W. Bush hates children, right? Kind of the way that anti-abortionists hate women or people who are against illegal immigration are all racists.

C) Re-read the article you listed. Nobody lied. The national guard soldiers did not read the fine print. They needed to serve 730 days and they only served 729. Slimy, yes, but nobody lied. Not that unusual though, people often get laid off the day before the company is required to pay them benefits.

D) I'm sure Mr. Craig knows better than you as to whether or not he is gay.

E) Whatever

F) The UCLA-Notre Dame game reminded me of the USC-UCLA game last year. Only this time, the Bruins were the ones who were out hustled by a more motivated team.

As for USC, they haven't looked all that great all year so I can't really say I'm that surprised. Can you ever remember a year when so many top ranked teams have lost so early to teams they should have easily beaten? I wonder which team will beat LSU, Kentucy?

Yeah and the media gave Rush favorable reports and blasted moveon that again shows I guess you are blinded to the obvious fact despite hundreds upon hundreds of examples. Sad.

Bush is the decider as he says so that means he is in charge. I guess to everyone but you.

Again Bush is commander in chief as you pointed out so he screwed the troops.

No I cannot remember a year with so many teams being upset. I guess it's LSU's championship to lose but this year there are no guarentees.

And if Craig is not gay why is he soliciting gay sex?

Are you kidding me? The media, by and large, hates Rush Limbaugh and seem to use any opportunity to ridicule him.

I don't even understand your "Bush is a decider" comment. How does that mean he doesn't care about children?

As for Bush having "screwed the troops", you are entitled to that opininon, but he didn't lie.
