This has to be the best of a long list of absurd statements by Republicans I have posted. This is from Rep. Ray LaHood (R, Il. ) on why he is leaving Congress:

“I do think the schedule and the flying is a huge pain for people, particularly those who are from the Midwest or even further West,” he said, adding that it’s “probably the worst part of the job.”

What he is talking about is how the Democrats are actually working a 5 day work week.

It's funny how REPUBLICANS always refer to Democrats as elites yet they are the ones who are snobs. I wonder how this "person" would explain this to those families in his district who have to work 6 days at 60 or more hours a week.
