What's going on?

Is it me or is there something odd going on in Miami (more then usual). Sunday they had to close part of their port with a truck with three middle-eastern men on it (the ultimate crime) yesterday they had a suspicious package near a ship and today a suspicious package near a military recruiting station. Could this be a test for something bigger?
