Congrats

Congrats to the Florida Gators and coach Billy Donovan. You were clearly more prepared then UCLA for this game. No excuses UCLA blew the chance to raise that 12th banner. But UCLA will be back and UCLA WILL WIN next year. Coach Howland thank you for the great ride this year.

CHOKE, CHOKE, CHOKE, CHOKE, CHOKE (You had to know this was coming.)

They didn't blow a lead late they were never in the game. They were not prepared which was suprising. It wasn't a choke job though like USC was.

But as usual you misrepresent the facts but I should suspect no less from a USC fan and right-winger.

How can you not be prepared for a big game like this.

I mean come on Erik have something a little more concrete. The Bruins played liked they shouldn't have been there in the first place.

I think that claiming USC choked is totally moronic. Even if they did though, I'd rather have my team be competitive and to have actually had a lead to blow. UCLA got stomped and you are completely foolish to attempt, in any way, to rationalize anything UCLA has over USC in this matter.

Erik was talking about the 15 point lead that USC had with 3 minutes left to play.

Of course Florida didn't have a Vince Young type of player.

Yeah they did his name was Noah. And again taking a look at facts USC was expected to win and dominate this year instead of blowing it to Texas UCLA was expected, if they were lucky, to finish 3rd in the Pac-10 in basketball so the fact they made this run was amazing. HOw could they not be prepared I really don't know I expected more from Howland but if you watched the game they looked lost out there.

I'm completely aware of that. Beating this horse one more time, I'll state that as a USC fan, I was certainly disappointed in the outcome of that game. I never felt USC choked, though. Texas (mainly Vince Young) just flat out played a great game and deserved the victory. My point to Erik is that USC football fans still can hold their heads high. They nearly pulled off a 3-peat. They played a great game in the Rose Bowl. It just wasn't quite good enough.

UCLA's basketball team on the other hand. Got their collective asses kicked. Their fans can be proud that they reached the finals, but they have no right, whatsoever, to make any boasts to USC football fans, which what Erik has been doing.

UCLA is the team that should hold their heads high. Fact is if you told any UCLA fan they would have been in the NCAA Basketball finals at the beginning of the season you would have been asked what you were on. USC was expected to dominate and they choked when it mattered. Just because YOU don't feel they choked doesn't mean they didn't. UCLA did get their butts whipped obviously I'm not in denial about that as you are about USC. I offered no excuses about the game they were dismantled by the better team. USC had no business losing that game to Texas except they blew the game.

No "almost three peat" when you had a split vote on the first one, won it outright only in the second year and gaggingly C-H-O-K-E-D against Texas in what amounted to a glorified home game for cryin' out loud! 15 point lead!! 3 minutes to go!!

With no Bush, White and Leinart lets see whatcha look like this Fall. No better than 9-3.

Thank you annonymous.

"No better than 9-3."

That will still be better than UCLA.

I doubt that UCLA is loaded and remember UCLA CURRENTLY has a longer winning streak then USC in football.

Because UCLA won a ridiculous bowl game that nobody except for UCLA fans and with half a brain cares about! :-)

And USC lost a bowl game that the whole nation was watching.
