I wonder with Bill O'Reilly's war on Christmas what he will say about what Laura Bush said talking about the hollidays. This is from whitehouse.gov
MRS. BUSH: Well, all things bright and beautiful is the theme this year. I think it will be really bright and beautiful with this fabulous tree. But thank you all very much. Happy holidays. I know this is the real start of the season, the Monday after Thanksgiving, and so I want to wish everybody happy holidays. And we'll see you later this week with the White House decorations.
No words about Christmas just happy hollidays. Make a bet no one from the right though will say a thing about that.

There is nothing wrong with what Mrs. Bush said. If she is addressing the media or the American people in general, that's the proper way to phrase such a message.
What many christians object to are phrases like holiday tree, holiday wreath, winter holiday, holiday carols. The exchange of gifts on December 25 is a Christmas rite. People, even if they aren't christians, who participate in this rite owe homage to the name Christmas.
So since Laura Bush said it it's ok. That's being a hipocrite but I expect no less.
I am totally lost on why that makes her a hypocrite. Did she say earlier that it was not okay to wish people happy holidays?
Robert O'Reilly and all of them are saying you can't say happy holliday's.
Let me get this straight, since Bill O'Reilly says you can't say "happy holidays", that makes Laura Bush a hypocrite when she doesn't follow O'Reilly's rule?
I'm just wondering who or where this war on christmas is? You would think Mrs. Bush being a leader in the party would be leading the Christmas cheer and yet she is leading the holliday cheer
Being a first lady does not make her a "leader in the party". Wish Hillary understood that. Also, to my knowledge, her husband hasn't made any comments about a "war on Christmas". It's just coming from a few individuals, its not a widespread official Republican policy.
Just the right wing media trying to distract from real issues.
