baseball and pollitics

From my friends at media maters http://mediamatters.org/items/200507060001 it seems there is a new revelation on why congress and the senate was interested in steroids all of the sudden.

George Soros is one of the people who are attempting to buy the Washington Nationals of major league baseball, George Soros supports democratic causes and the republicans of the house are threatening to take away the anti-trust rules that apply to them if baseball accepts his bid to buy the team.

From Northern Virginia lawmaker Tom Davis (R)"I think Major League Baseball understands the stakes, I don't think they want to get involved in a political fight."
He also added "I don't think it's the Nats that get hurt. I think it's Major League Baseball that gets hurt. They enjoy all sorts of exemptions" from anti-trust laws."

Boy George Steinbrenner who owns the New York Yankees is a big contributor to republican causes and was in jail for making illegal contributions to Richard Nixon (Steinbrenner was pardoned by Ronald Reagan)

Another power grab by the Republicans who are trying to intimidate and bully their way into complete and utter power

Scary
