Fear

I see where Bush is at it again with the following quote

“And Iran’s active pursuit of technology that could lead to nuclear weapons threatens to put a region already known for instability and violence under the shadow of a nuclear holocaust,” he told the American Legion veterans group.

“Iran’s actions threaten the security of nations everywhere, and the United States is rallying friends and allies to isolate Iran’s regime, to impose economic sanctions. We will confront this danger before it is too late,”

First of Bush wouldn't know anything about the holocaust in fact his grandfather helped Hitler rise to power http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story/0,12271,1312540,00.html so if anything his family has that history.

Second he is using the exact words he used in the run-up to the Iraq occupation which we know he lied under oath about. So I wonder when the people are going to wise up about this lying ahole?

I think you have your presidents mixed up, Erik. It was President Clinton who lied under oath and was disbarred and paid a fine for doing so. When, specifically, did President Bush lie under oath?

You know Erik, this crap you spew about President Bush's grandfather helping the Nazis is just a lot of nonesense. We can say the same sort of things about the Kennedys. Wasn't the patriarch of that clan a notorious anti-semite, appeasor as ambassador to Great Britain during WWII and a bootlegger and stock manipulator? Didn't Jack Kennedy date a Nazi spy during WWII (Inga Arvad) and also date the mistress of mob king ping Sam Giancana while serving as president? Gimme a break, Erik, lets debate sensible policy issues which are relavent today. I can drum up just as many historical facts and sordid sex scandals on your side of the aisle as you can on mine. Let's get out of the gutter and debate facts not mindless conspiracy theories and historical tidbits that have nothing to do with the current set of circumstances and policy choices we face today.
Sincerely,

A) Well there is proof on Bush where is the proof on Kennedy I'll be happy to provide it.

B) Bush lied when he said in the State of the Union the exact same thing about Iraq he just said on Iran. When you become President you take the oath of office. If you lie at anytime under that that is lying under oath.

Again I have links showing about what Bush's family did what you have is hearsay and would never hold up in court.

Erik, for one minute just forget everything President Bush has ever said about Iraq's WMD and listen to what YOUR folks in YOUR party have said. Drumroll, please.

On December 16, 1998 Vice President Al Gore said, "If you allow someone like Saddamm Hussein to get nuclear weapons, ballistic missiles, chemical weapons, biological weapons, how many people is he going to kill with such weapons? He's already demonstrated a willingness to use these weapons."

On that same day Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi said, "Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."

President Clinton (your hero) said on Larry King, "It is incontestable that on the day I left office, there were unaccounted for stocks of biological and chemical weapons. We might have destroyed them in 1998. We tried to, but we sure as heck didn't know it because we never got to go back in there."

Sen Carl Levin Chairman of the Armed Services Committee said on September 19, 2002, "We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the means of delivering them"

Al Gore said on September 23, 2002, "We know that Saddam has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country"

Senator Ted Kennedy said at Johns Hopkins University on September 27, 2002, "We have known for many years that saddam hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction."

Sen. Robert "KKK" Byrd said, "The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons."

On the Senate floor Oct 10, 2002, Sen. Jay Rockefeller, Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee said, "There is unmistakable evidennce that Saddam Hussein is working aggresively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years. We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction".

Sen. Joe Biden who is currently running for president said on Meet the Press August 4,2002, "First of all, we don't know exactly what he has...Number two, it is clear that he has a residual of chemical and biological weapons...We know he continues to attempt to gain access to additional capability, including nuclear capability."

Sen. Hillary Clinton (also running for president) said, "In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program...It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage bilogical and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons." Furthermore, Erik, Hillary said, "I voted for the Iraqi resolution. I consider the prospect of a nuclear-armed saddam Hussein who can threaten not only his neighbors, but the stability of the region and the world, a very serious threat to the United States."

Another one of your heroes, Sen. John Kerry said, "I will be voting to give the president of the United States the authority to use force if necessary to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security." Later Kerry said,"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppresive regime. He presents a particularly grevious threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation. And now he is miscalculating America's respmse to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction...So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real."

Now Erik wasn't President Bush saying pretty much the same thing in his address to congress? How can you call this lying under oath as if he were in a court room like Bill Clinton was when he in fact lied under oath and lost his law license as a result?

As far as JFK's mistresses go, you can look this up on the internet in sites such as Wikipedia. Inga Arvad was a notorious Nazi sympathizer and good friends with Hitler. During his presidency, JFK recklessly shared a mistress, Judith Exner, with Chicago mob boss Sam Giancana. You can look up these two women up on Wikipedia. As far as Joe Kennedy goes, he was such a notorious scoundrel and pathetic excuse for a human being, where would you like to begin with him?

Erik, it is well known that Irag under Saddam Hussein was a violently oppresive country, harbored international terrorists and hijackers, invaded two countries, Kuwait and Iran, and developed and used chemical weapons against the Iranians and the Kurds. Even when our troops liberated Iraq they found over 500 missile warheads capable of delivering chemical agents. While it remains a mystery as to what happened to the entire stockpile of WMD, I suspect that the weapons were smuggled into Syria with the help of the Russians (who originally supplied them to Iraq) in the months just before coalition forces freed Iraq from the grip of this monsterously evil tyrant.
