I'd like to comment about David Gelernter's column in today's Los Angeles Times stating American's won't let Deomocrats lose Iraq like they did Vietnam. Now someone please correct me if I'm wrong but the reason why Vietnam was lost (just like the reason Iraq is not going well) is poor planning. The people in charge did not plan properly for a jungle war just like the people now did not plan for an insurgency in Iraq.
All those who bitch when comparisons are made between Iraq and Vietnam are not looking at facts.
