Pen is mightier then the sword

That saying is so true. I remember the when Gov. Davis was recalled and Arnie promised, screamed he was a different kind of republican. He said how he would stop waste in government he would first run an audit and again stop the waste. He also said he would not give in to special interests and he was for the people. He also said he didn't need to hold fund-raisers cause he had enough money. All of those are lies.

I guess when he said he would not give in to special interests Arnie never said what they were. We all assumed he meant lobbiest for big businesses and things that were detrimental to people. You know ordinary citizens like myself and yourself.

However that was changed. He never did that audit, he raises money hand over fist and I'd like to take so of the laws he vetoed recently that would be pro labor and make me shut up about this.

Here is what he vetoed: A law that would have cracked down on employers who delay paying workers' compensation claims or fail to pay the minimum wage or overtime, he declined to raise the minimum wage, provide unemployment insurance to striking workers who are locked out, pay particularly productive agricultural and garment workers more money during their rest breaks. He vetoed a bill sponsered by the Califronia Teachers Union(that fued is another post at another time) that would have required the state to repay $500 million dollars that was cut from the teachers retirement fund in 2003.

Socially he vetoed a bill that would have allowed gay marriage in California.

So who has the advantage on all the bills that he vetoed?? Big business. Now don't get me wrong I know that without businesses (especially big ones) that the state would be bankrupt instead of the world's fourth largest economy but like typical republicans he lied.

And now he is spending $70 million dollars on a special election because he doesn't want to deal with the state legislature.

Amazing what you can get away with if you are a repubilcan huh??
