Aid to New Orleans

I'm just wondering when disaster strikes, like the Tsunami that hit Asia, The United States is usually among the first countries to give aid. As one of, if not the, richest nation in the world we should help the less fortunate countries of the world. I don't have a significant problem with that.

Now we are hurting severely. The death and destruction in Louisiana,Mississippi and Alabama is incredible to say the least. Where are our allies when we are hurting as we are now? England? Japan? Saudi Arabia we need help. The only leader I heard offer help was Hugo Chavez of Venezuela. You know the person who Pat Robertson said we need to kill.

I'm not going to blame Bush on this one (suprise) but this is more proof how hated the United States has become in the world.

Bush's Vacation

Nice to see with all the destruction in Louisiana our fair, kind-hearted presitent is cutting his 5 week vacation a couple of days. Man nice to know he really cares.

New Orleans is now under water. I'm afraid even though it was a direct hit there is still a lot of damage and destruction in Louisiana,Mississippi and Alabama and other states as well.

To give Bush just the little bit of credit on this at least he was quick to declare a disaster area in the effected areas. Thank you for that.

I'm not in the disaster zone I'm far away in Los Angeles but to look at the damage just saddens me that's why I'm talking about it so much. If you can donate clothes and anything possible to the salvation army they are going to need it.

THanks all. I'll be getting back to pollitics soon.

Bill O'Reilly yet again

As usual I would have to take exception to Bill O'Reilly's column in the Los Angeles Daily News yesterday.

According to Mr. O'Reilly a lawsuit filed by the ACLU that wants all photos released of the abuse and torture at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay released will "threaten U.S. troops" if the photos are released.

As always I would like to take exception to that statement. To me, again this is my view, if the photos are released it will not, again not but the troops in any more danger then they are already in. After all, soldiers are dying every day in Iraq or at least almost every day.

Again to me it's a case where O'Reilly and the right-wing media don't want citizens to see what's going on in Iraq and Cuba. They don't want us to see the human rights abuses going on because they fear that it will worsen the support of the war even though it's already steadily going downhill.

But again for this President and anyone who supported this war to admit it was a mistake would be the most remarkable thing I've ever seen.

Katrina Part 3

Again if anyone is viewing this from Louisiana again I beg of you EVACUATE, get out now. Katrina is now at 175 mph and might strengthen even more. This strom will be as bad if not worse the Camille which was DEVASTATING! Please again I beg of you do not tempt fate. I'm sorry to spend so much time on this but I don't want to see anyone who thinks they can ride this out because look what Andrew did to South Florida even what Katrina did. When Katrina hit Florida there was a lot of damage and when Katrina hit she was only at 75 mph. DO NOT take this storm lightly remember especially if you view my site from New Orleans you are surrounded by water on 3 sides AND you are at or below sea level. Please I cannot state enough get out before it's too late!

Katrina Update

Just saw on the Weather Channel that the latest windspeed on Katrina is 145 mph heading for Louisiana. Please again as I stated earlier GET OUT if ordered to evacuate. Homes can be replaced. People can't.

Hurricaines and Oil Prices

First off to all the people in the path of Katrina I wish you nothing but being safe and surviving this enormous storm. If you are told to evacuate get out. Everytime I've heard people interviewed they said the biggest mistake they made was staying so please take this storm seriously and evacuate if told.

I'd like to talk about what Katrina might do to our oil prices if it stays on her present course.

There was a movie at the beginning of the summer on the FX network called oil storm. It was about a fictional oil crisis that hits the United States. The first phase is a hurricaine that knocks out the oil pipeline in Louisiana. Which causes the price of oil to rise to about $4.00 per gallon.

Back to reality if Katrina continues to strengthen and hits Louisiana where the weather forcasters say it will the real oil crisis might begin.

Start saving your money.

More miss-information from the right

I'm going to give some quotes from Bush Administation officials and talk about something that my 2nd favorite right-wing talk show host said yesterday.

These were taken from Media Maters

On the March 16, 2003, broadcast of CBS' Face the Nation, Cheney stated: "I think [the war will] go relatively quickly." When host Bob Schieffer pressed the vice president to offer a more precise estimate of how long the war would take, Cheney replied: "Weeks rather than months." On NBC's Meet the Press the same day, Cheney stated, "my belief is we will, in fact, be greeted as liberators [by the Iraqi people]."
In a February 7, 2003, appearance at Aviano Air Base in Italy, Rumsfeld projected that the Iraq war "could last six days, six weeks. I doubt six months."
In a February 13, 2002, Washington Post op-ed, Ken Adelman, at the time a member of the Defense Policy Board, stated: "I believe demolishing Hussein's military power and liberating Iraq would be a cakewalk. Let me give simple, responsible reasons: (1) It was a cakewalk last time; (2) they've become much weaker; (3) we've become much stronger; and (4) now we're playing for keeps."

Now we get onto Rush who on his radio show "This has always been portrayed as something that's gonna be hard; it's part of the war on terror and no end date was ever given, and the ease with which all this was gonna happen was never stated."

So with the short memory he and other right-wingers have he has conveniently forgotton the quotes from Cheney and Adelman that I listed above. So I ask as I always do is you people who support these obvious liars how do you sleep at night? How come you are oblivious to the facts that they are lying to you and how come you are stupid enough to believe them??

Extremism--Definition from Bill O'Reilly

On Bill O'Reilly yesterday his talking points covered the subject of extremism. Looking up the definition from dictionary.com extremism has two entries. Here is what it means.

2 entries found for Extremism.

n: One who advocates or resorts to measures beyond the norm, especially in politics.

n : any political theory favoring immoderate uncompromising policies

Here is O'Reilly's definition of extremism. There are a few entries here.
An extremist is someone who rejects facts and holds on to opinions no matter what.

In my opinion, extremists have a neurosis. They really don't want to hear anything other than the conclusion they've arrived at, no matter what the evidence suggests.

If you agree that Allah is OK with slaughtering civilians, you're extreme.

If you admire the philosophy of the Third Reich, you're there.

So if we take what O'Reilly means, and anyone who disagrees with his and his parties viewpoints is an extremist.

Again this goes along with what Rush said the other day and the only people who are the extremists are Rush and O'Reilly who actully think this garbage. Of course they will claim this was taken out of context or some lame excuse but this is further proof when I call the media right-wing psychopaths. I can't stress enough how they are out of control and need vallium to calm down.

More from yesterday

I'd like to talk a little more about that communist Rush said yesterday cause the more I thought about it the more pissed off I am!

I'd like to compare my site to Rush's,Hannity's,O'Reilly and every other right-wing psychopath in the media who has their own show.

Now on my site I welcome all views, opinions and viewpoints. You have the freedom to say (as long as no cussing is involved) whatever you want. I have the right to agree with your views and disagree with your views that is what is generally known as a conversation.

On these right-wing shows, if you disagree with the host you don't get on as a caller. Well to give some credit O'Reilly once in a blue moon allows someone to disagree with him on the air. Guests are another topic cause I know they once in a while allow guests who disagree with them, then shout them down.

What does Rush call his listeners?? Oh yeah dittoheads. In other words they are followers and not independent thinkers. That is exactly what's wrong cause instead of promoting conversation, they would rather have mindless slaves.

Again he questions my patriotism?? If what I do is not patriotism I'd like to know what he calls his sheep!

Rush

It's time for a double post. From media maters.

I'd like to talk about a quote from Rush why I bother with this sick psychopath I don't know but here is the quote: "You're Damn Right, American Left; We're Questioning Your Patriotism" which he said on his August 23rd show.

What I would like to know from the drug-addict is what he defines as a patriot. To me a patriot. The reason why I ask that to the fat hearing-impared loser is he considers himself I'm sure a patriot even though he's broken serveral laws that he thinks applies to anyone but him so to me that makes him not a patriot. He supports criminals like Liddy and North and that's ok.

To me a patriot is someone who while supports this country is not afraid to speak up against something he or she disagrees with. Something Rush and all the right-wing psychopaths weren't afraid to do when Bill Clinton was President.

I feel I am a patriot. More so then any member of the right-wing psychopath media. I feel that cause I'm not afraid to speak my mind. I'm not afraid of past decisions I've made. Everything about me if anyone wants to know ask. I am an open book. I'm not afraid of life and death as the right-wing is I'm not afraid to agree or disagree with people as the right is. I love where I'm from I feel dispite the low it is in now we still are the greatest country in the world. That is patriotism.

Nobel Peace Prize

I just got a teaser on the local ABC affiliate here in Los Angeles where friends of Oprah Winfrey are going to have her nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Correct me if I'm wrong on this question but what exactly has Oprah done to promote world peace??

Has she stopped a war? Not that I'm aware of. If someone can tell me anything she's done do even earn a nomination I'd appreciate it.

Someone who deserves the nobel peace prize is Sharon from Israel. He has had his contrymen(Israel) have to give up thier homes in Gaza and the West Bank in the hopes to secure peace even though he is surrounded by enemies. He deserves the nobel peace prize not Oprah.

Pat Robertson

Continuing the right-wing's obsession with death, Pat Robertson said the United States should assasinate Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez because "he is a launching pad for communist infiltration and muslim extremism."

If you look at the past I have written about Bill O'Reilly and others stating they would have no problems killing people like Michael Moore,Hilary Clinton and others so Robertson, who I thought was supposed to be religious and I thought one of the 10 commandments states "thou shalt not kill" I mean someone correct me if I'm wrong on that.

The right likes to preach about life how precious it is and we need a "cycle of life" yet they have no problems sending others to their death and would have no problems killing people who have different views then them.

Sounds like they are hipocrites. As usual.

The missing man

I would like to talk about someone who has been missing over the past few months. Missing from the news media, missing from the so-called president's speeches missing from the minds of pretty much everyone.

According to Bush NOW, Iraq was the contry that attacked us on 9/11. Not Osama Bin Laden. Weren't we supposed to get him dead or alive?? Preferably dead if I recall. But now in Bush's weekly radio address Iraq is now the central theater in the war on terror so I guess Bin Laden is getting off scott-free cause this failed war on terror is a complete disaster.

One more thing if we were going to Iraq for anything less then control of Iraq's oilfields, just take a look at gas prices before the war and what we are paying now and yes Robert this is directly Bush's fault since we had no reason to go to Iraq at all other then this.

One MOre thing

Did anyone notice what was a what I call "by the way" story that the army is planning on at least 4 more years in Iraq? Can you say draft is coming? I knew you could

It's Fun

You know one of the things I find fun about my posts is the ability to bash all the right-wing psychopaths like Bill O'Reilly. It's one of the pleasures I have.

In his latest column, the lunatic is stating how we should not be protesting the war in Iraq, how protests led to the fall of Vietnam (funny I thought it was the communists), how us (using his quote) "radicals" are trying to divide this country AND this war has to do with the war on terror.

Now the idoit has actually one thing right: Bush needs to fire DOnald Rumsfeld but we know that will happen the same day Bush will fire Rove from the CiA leak.

Now I'm not sure if O'Reilly looked at the polls, but the war in Iraq was not popular even before Cindy Sheehan at somewhere around 40% who approve and around 60% disapprove depending on what polls you read. Now I realize O'Reilly probably can't read but it would seem to me that America(except for the extreme right-Wing like him) already want the troops to come home.

Now O'Reilly also wants to know why they aren't protesting at Sen. Kerry's and Sen. Clinton's homes since they supported the war. Remember when they voted for the war they were going by what Bush lied about and that is that Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destruction. Not that we are spreading democracy which is the current claim and remember this as well ladies and gentlemen: Sen. Kerry and Sen. Clinton are not in charge of the country for now, Bush is.

Nuclear Option

There was a letter I would like to respond in todays Los Angeles Times. He said the Government should be proud of it's arsenal of weapons to be used when we strike Iran pre-emptively. I have one question for all the people who think this:

If it's ok for the United States to attack countries who we think are a threat to us whether they are or not (as in Iraq) wouldn't it be ok then for other countries to attack us if we are a threat to them?

After all we are the country with the most nuclear weapons and George has stated several times he WILL use them.

Some food for thought.

Iraq and Al Queda

Did anyone read the 9/11 commission report?? For those who did not read this will educate you and for those who did it will remind you. The 9/11 commission report said Iraq had minimal, if any, contact with Al Queda. Now Bush and the psychopaths now indicate that Iraq has ties to Al Queda and while they are in Iraq AFTER we invaded, they had no tides to Iraq before.

Now I bring you to my favorite idiot Bill O'Reilly. He stated on his radio show that Saddam Hussein "allowed" Answar Al-Islam to exist in Northeastern Iraq.(Associated Press 1/23/04) Sadam had no control over that region based on reports so that is incorrect and if they are there now, that is further proof that we, in our occupation of Iraq, has created more terrorists there then before.

A dream I have

Ladies and Gentlemen I actually would like to tell about a dream I have. I would love to be contacted by any of these right-wing wacko radio hosts like a Limbaugh, O'Reilly etc. and engage in an intelligent "discussion" with them. It could be anything like the War, Social Security(notice how that's now on the back burner??) anything. Then reality sits in and the fact that you can't have an intelligent conversation with any of them cause they will do nothing but berate you for telling facts and stating the truth if it doesn't fit their views. Nevermind maybe Al Franken will take me up on the offer.

More Swift Boat attacks from the right

Just a quick update I hear Cindy Sheehan had to leave Crawford, Texas cause her mother had a stroke and is in a hospital in here in Los Angeles. Thoughts and prayers go out to her on an obviously stressful time in her life as it is right now.

I would like to ask the following people if they have any children serving in Iraq and if godforbid they lost any children serving in Iraq: Rush,Hannity,Coulter,Liddy,Gallager,Hume,O'Reilly and any other person who has been attacking this brave woman. Do you know what it's like? Just for the record I don't know since I do not have any children.

After hearing these baseless attacks from incensitive psychopaths on the right time and time again I would like to know when you are going to send you child to sreve in the military since you seem to not care if they live or die. You don't care that Cindy Sheehan's child is dead.

A relatively new phrase

Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to introduce a new phrase that some have used but I would like it to be used more. Swift-Boated. The definition: I right-wing attack to bring down good human beings to suit their own needs. Just like the right-wing uses Borked for the oposite reasons.

The latest example is with Cindy Sheehan. The right-wing is afraid of her ladies and gentlemen. Afraid of what is already happening people like Cindy Sheehan, a grieving mother who lost her son in this illegal war in Iraq and wants to ask Mr. Bush about this so-called "nobel cause" in Iraq, afraid as I said about what is already happening and she might make people who are already turning against the war. They are afraid so they do what is natural to them: attack.

Want some examples?? Here they are from my friends at media matters.

* Charles Krauthammer, syndicated columnist and Fox News contributor: On the August 16 edition of Fox News' Special Report with Brit Hume, Krauthammer claimed that Sheehan's protest is "hurting our troops and endangering our troops." Krauthammer went on to state that Sheehan's statements "have to be attacked because they are libeling America, endangering America, and they are untrue from beginning to end." When Fox News contributor Juan Williams questioned whether Sheehan's statements actually endangered American troops, Krauthammer retorted, "You don't think it's encouraging, you don't think it's going to encourage Iraqis who are attacking us, particularly this kind of stuff about American imperialism?"
* Frank J. Gaffney Jr., Washington Times columnist: On the August 16 broadcast of PBS' The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, Gaffney asserted that Sheehan's statements "emboldened" America's enemies:

GAFFNEY: It will clearly be the case that enemies of this country, in a global war, of which Iraq is one front, will be emboldened and hardened, even as I think they are by these sorts of indications that we're losing our nerve, that we're being bloodied and that we're going to try to -- or at least some of us -- are going to try to compel the president to give up, that will only bring the threat we currently face, principally overseas, to our shores and, I think, do so in a way that will make the losses we've sustained in Iraq pale by comparison.

Additionally, in an August 16 column, Gaffney called Sheehan "the poster child for surrender" and argued that media coverage of Sheehan's protest "has further encouraged the conviction of our Islamofascist enemies that, as they expected, an indolent and self-indulgent United States cannot stand up to determined, ruthless foes." Gaffney added: "That perception can have but one effect: It puts an even bigger premium on the lives of every one of [Casey Sheehan's] comrades in Iraq and elsewhere, and to foreclose the outcomes for which he and the other fallen gave their lives."
* Bill O'Reilly, Fox News host: On the August 9 edition of Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor, O'Reilly claimed that Sheehan "has thrown in with the most radical elements in this country" and "other American families who have lost sons and daughters in Iraq ... feel that this kind of behavior borders on treasonous."
* Kathleen Parker, nationally syndicated columnist: In an August 13 column, Parker wrote that Bush "can't [meet with Sheehan] because he's the president of the United States, because we're at war, and because every move he makes causes ripples around the world. Ripples that, depending on other circumstances, can get other sons and daughters killed." Parker added that, if Bush allows himself to become involved in a public confrontation with Sheehan, "the world is in greater danger. Democrats might be delighted to freeze that image in political time, but so would insurgents planning their next Baghdad ambush."
* Jimmy W. Hall, freelance writer: In an August 11 op-ed in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Hall wrote: "Cindy Sheehan evidently thinks little of her deceased son, his sacrifice or of those left to do the noble work in his absence," adding, "The lady is on the wrong team. She's disgraceful." Hall asked, rhetorically, "Is the proper answer to her bitterness really to belittle and undermine public support for the efforts of those still serving? ... Would [Casey Sheehan] be proud of her near-treasonous actions?" Hall also offered Sheehan this advice:

My suggestion to her ... is that she think about the lives of those still in Iraq. Undermining public support for our efforts in Iraq helps the enemy, her son's murderers. They love people like her, but hate those like her heroic son.

* Chattanooga Times Free Press: From an August 16 editorial:

[I]t is unfortunate that Mrs. Sheehan's sadness now has caused her to be used as a "front" and a personal "symbol" by a variety of political anti-Bush and anti-war activists who are seeking to undermine the American military effort to establish freedom and defeat terrorism in Iraq and throughout the world.

The Times Free Press added, "It is saddening that Mrs. Sheehan has lost a son. It is saddening that Mrs. Sheehan's demonstration has sought to undermine the purpose of his service in a way that surely encourages his murderers."
* David Horowitz, right-wing pundit: Horowitz wrote the following in an August 12 entry on his FrontPageMag.com weblog:

Cindy Sheehan is the most prominent symbol and chief mouthpiece of a psychological warfare campaign against her own country in time of war that can only benefit its enemies on the field of battle. It is one thing to criticize a war policy. It is quite another to accuse your own country of creating the monster it went to war to remove and fabricating intelligence information to send American youth into battle to die for a lie -- which is what she has done. She has made herself a willing tool of anti-American forces in this country that want America to lose the war in Iraq and the war on terror generally. She is promoting a cause -- immediate withdrawal from Iraq -- that would lead to a bloodbath in the region and in the United States. She has joined forces with an Unholy Alliance on the other side in the epic battle for freedom in the Middle East and has shown that she will do and say anything to discredit the United States and its commander-chief -- acts which serve the enemy and endanger American lives. She is a disgrace to her brave son who gave his life for the freedom of ordinary Iraqis and the security of his countrymen. She has betrayed his sacrifice and embraced his enemies.

Again these psychopaths live among you.

Big Silence

Has anyone noticed a big silence from the media the past 10 days or so?? A big silence covering two issues: Karl Rove and John Roberts.

If the media is so left as the right likes to claim, I would think they would be continuously talking about it as they did with every Bill Clinton news that broke out but yet again nothing.

No news, no information never mind Rove has committed treason by giving the name of a covert operative, nevermind there has been little out except that his wife is part of an anti-abortion group and he while he has claimed he would not overturn Roe V Wade his view suggest otherwise, yet hardly a mention about that.

Yet it's a liberal media.

More from Texas

In another disturbing tale from Texas, some psychopath ran over crosses setup to honor the fallen soldiers in Iraq. This was intentional by all reports.

This to continue what I posted yesterday all I have to say is as I said before I almost feel sorry for them I almost pity them but they are worse then any breed of humans I've EVER seen.

Pathetic.

Mike Gallagher

I would like to talk about an event that occured in Crawford, Texas over the weekend.

Mike Gallagher is a conservative talk show host from based from Dallas, Texas who, like many from the right dislike what Cindy Sheehan is doing asking to meet with Mr. Bush to discuss the Iraq War and the death of her son who was killed in action in Iraq.

Mike Gallagher decided to organize his followers and take a bus to Crawford where they would"out protest" the people where Cindy Sheehan was. They were down there Friday night in the bus chanting "we don't care."

To think about what that meant. They don't care people are dying in Iraq. They don't care that mothers, fathers, sons, daughters are grieving. They don't care about anyone or anything. They don't care.

This is the most disgusting thing I've EVER heard in my life. They don't care. I would feel sorry for these insecure psychopaths but I really wonder about their morality.

Iraqi Soldiers

Just a quick post for now.

With the attacks happening a lot where the United States are training the Iraqi people for Police and military I have a what would seem to be a logical idea: Why not take the soldiers/policemen in a group of about 10,000 or so. Take them to a military base here in the United States such as Ft. Hood or whatever, and train them here??

Recommended Reading

In today's LA Times there are two interesting stories about Bush in Iraq in the section they call Current. One about Bush and the Iraqi constitution and one about Bush's economic vision for Iraq. Both are interesting reads however I have a question on my birthday: Where is Bush's economic vision for the United States?

As I posted earlier, in 1999 average price for gas was $.99 per gallon(which we were complaining about then) now in Los Angeles it's $2.70 per gallon (which we are still complaining about) I haven't heard Bush once say he has a plan to ease gas prices for people. I understand that other countries pay more but that is something they should take up with their government. The energy plan Bush signed does nothing to help the people everyone says Bush relates to and that's the common people.

Another thing is unemployment. With a lot of jobs going overseas unemployment is holding at around 5-6% last I checked. Has anyone heard Bush say anything about this? What is he doing to help people get jobs? I haven't.

Another things as well is security. We've had our civil rights slowly eroded with the invasion of privacy act (patriot act) and still despite that Bush is no closer at stopping attacks then he was prior to 9/11. Any type of attack can happen at any time people no matter how tough the security is. Ask Israel.

The only thing that has happened is Halliburton is making millions, the oil companies are making millions and the middle class are becomming the lower class quicker every day.

That needs to change and it will once Bush is out of office and the Dems take over. We've seen what happened with 8 years of republican rule and a change needs to be done.

You Can't Always Get What You Want

But if you have $100,000 you can get to watch the world's greatest rock band The Rolling Stones in Boston with Arnold Schwarzenegger in a luxury box.

If I recall when he was running for Gov. didn't Arnie say he wasn't going to accept money from special interests?? I seem to remember that. I guess Arnie has Sticky Fingers.

But we all know the CEO's of major companies have Arnie Under there Thumb.

But in the end Arnie is Jumpin Jack Cash that is unless we in California decide to tell him to Get off of my Cloud in the next election.

This was from the Los Angeles Daily News.

Yet again my favorite target

I turn 35 on Sunday. It's kinda a milestone birthday. I've always said I'm going to be honest with my views and honest with you, my readers.

I've not been, shall we say, sucessful in my life. I've done some great things as well as some things that have not been great. But I have been happy with the people I know and the things I've done and I accept the choices I've made, both good and bad.

The reason I'm saying all this is I once in awhile listen to Bill O'Reilly for a couple of reasons one so I can laugh the other is to get my topics cause usually I feel he's wrong on pretty much everything as you've seen on previous posts.

The other day I was listening to his show and he stated pretty much if you are not successful in America you are either "stupid, addicted,or have mental problems."

Now again I know just people who are well-educated and not successful who can't seem to catch a break and I know people who are not educated who are great successes.

All that matters really in terms of success and failure is being in the right place at the right time. If you want to be successfull you will find a way to be successful. The individual has to have the disire and will to succeed.

I'm going to use two example, one can look at our President. He's not the brightest person in the world in fact, before he became President he FAILED at every business he was a part of. Look what happened.

Also President Clinton. He didn't make the best decisions while in office (at least concerning his sex life) yet he is known as being very intelligent (which to me is no doubt).

One more thing.. 6 years ago in 1999 we were paying $.99 per gallon of gas. Now in Los Angeles I look around and see $2.60. Anyone who is saying this has nothing to do with the illegal war in Iraq are missing the point.

Thank You

As we approach our 500th hit on this site I again want to say thank you for supporting me and this site. Thank you for reading my thoughts and opinions and please continue coming here whether you agree with me or disagree with me and please, dispite my fun with Robert post all views if you wish. Thank you again.

I'm reporting you decide

From my friends at media maters (I know I use them a lot but I think they are one of the most accurate reporters of the bias media)

I would like you to decide if my good friend Bill O'Reilly and his guest smeared war protester Cindy Sheehan. Mr. O'Relly said he has not but I will copy the post and his response to the comments to people who have emailed him regarding that. First the emails.

O'REILLY: Heather O'Neill, New York City: "I see the right-wing smear tactics have begun against Cindy Sheehan."

Well, I don't know where you're seeing that. Not here, Ms. O'Neill. We've reported the story accurately and fairly.

[...]

Al Nagengast, Payson, Arizona: "O'Reilly, the savaging of Mrs. Sheehan by you and Michelle Malkin is a new low for The Factor."

Both Michelle and I were respectful to Mrs. Sheehan, sir. You are distorting and perhaps lying about the segment.

O'Reilly has treated this story neither accurately nor fairly. As Media Matters for America documented, he repeated the false claim that Sheehan, a critic of President Bush and the Iraq war, has changed what she has said about Bush and the war since meeting with him in June 2004.

As for O'Reilly's claim that he and Malkin were "respectful" to Sheehan, the transcript of the August 9 edition of The O'Reilly Factor shows otherwise:

O'REILLY: Well, I have to say that she obviously does because she's the lead story on Michael Moore's Web site on an almost daily basis. And she knows -- I mean, Michael Moore isn't a subtle guy. Everybody knows where he stands.

So I mean, I think Mrs. Sheehan bears some responsibility for this and also for the responsibility of other American families who have lost sons and daughters in Iraq, who feel that this kind of behavior borders on treasonous.

You know, you got to think about those people as well. What about their feelings?

[...]

O'REILLY: She has thrown in -- there is no question that she has thrown in with the most radical elements in this country. That is -- now, it happened before. Some of the 9-11 families also took this road, you'll remember, and are still active to this day. There's a big controversy about the 9-11 Museum down at the World Trade Center.

And, you know, there are some people who hate this government, hate their country right now, and blaming Bush for all the terrorism and all the horror in the world.

Here's a question, Michelle. Do they have a right to this opinion without being scorned?

MALKIN: No, without being scorned, no. And I wouldn't call it scorned. I would call it scrutiny. And the mainstream media is not doing it. I mean, the New York Times editorial board is all too eager to prop her up as some sort of martyr and to buy her line when clearly her story hasn't checked out.

O'REILLY: Yes, her story hasn't [sic] changed.

MALKIN: And so I think -- and I think that angle you're emphasizing is absolutely right here, which is the mainstream media just lapping this up and perpetuating myths and inaccuracies when they know it's not the truth.

O'REILLY: Yes. They don't identify -- in the New York Times editorial today, it was obvious they did not say her story has been inconsistent. And they did not pinpoint that she is in bed with the radical left.

Malkin also found another way to smear Sheehan. In an August 8 entry on her weblog, Malkin purported to divine what Sheehan's son Casey, an Army specialist who was killed in Iraq in 2004, would think of his mother's actions: "I can't imagine Army Spc. Casey Sheehan would stand for his mother's crazy accusations that he was murdered by his commander-in-chief, rather than the Iraqi terrorists who ambushed his convoy."

The full casualty list

I'd like to again list the names of the dead in the iraq war. This is a long list due to the fact that Bush attacked Iraq without having the proper armor and not sending enough manpower for this illegal war. Bush(who hasn't that I know of attended any funerals for the soldiers and still refuses to allow cameras to take pictures of the dead) is responsible for all of this. Bush has created more terrorists then he has killed or captured.

Remember these are sons, daughters, mothers, fathers who have parrished.

This is from icasualties.ort
