3rd Lie

I'd like to talk about the third lie from the speech last night. When he said “We are grateful that there has not been another attack on our soil since 9/11.”

Well I'm sure he forgot but someone about a month after 9/11 sent anthrax to Tom Daschle of South Dakota and Patrick Leahy of Vermont as well as ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, the New York Post and the National Inquirer. The terrorist attacks killed 5 people and injured 17 others. Like the person responsible for 9/11 the person who initiated the attacks have not been brought to justice further proving what a failure Bush is as President.

But if you look at who was attacked Bush probably thanked that person.

2nd lie

I always talk about how I hate how Bush treats the troops. The bravest of the brave, true heroes, it made me sick last night when he said the following when I know it's a lie:

The shows how the American Journal of Public Health reports there are 1.8 MILLION VETERENS who are UNINSURED and UNABLE to get care in veterans facilities. As I said how he treats the troops makes me sick as does he in general.

1st Lie

Over the next day or so I'm going to go over the lie of the union by Bush (thank god his last) and doing some fact-checking. I got the first one right here. First his quote:

He'll say nothing

You know as a lame duck as Bush is this will probably be the most mellow State of the Union address he has made( or his speech-writers have written). There will be no made up axis of evil. He will probably push his economic stimulus package but he will say nothing much and nothing new. I wonder if he will mention New Orleans as he did not last year I wonder how much time will be on another failure like Iraq I wonder if he'll mention how he forgot about the person who he once said he would get "dead or alive" in Osama Bin Laden. I wonder how many times he will mention the failed war on terror since Al Queda is as strong now as they were before 9/11. I wonder how he will spin his failures. I wonder who he will blame for Bush's failutres after all, as he has said himself, he is the decider. He is the one responsible according to his own words so the buck stops there.

Odds are he will say nothing.

Sad

This is not a post about Bush or anything but something personal that happened to me at my favorite hangout on Friday. I've always kinda prided myself on not really getting in situations not in my control but sometimes you have to make a stand. And I kinda paid a price for defending some friends of mine.

Situation was this. I was sitting with two friends of mine (both female) one goes outside to smoke so I'm there with her sister. Guy comes down asks if he can sit there we both say no cause our friend is sitting there the idiot does anyway. (We both knew he was drunk the second he came to us and we never saw the idiot there before) He sat down anyway starts taking my frineds drink then starts taking my drink we both tell him to get away then he starts grabbed his hand up my friends dress grabbing her a**. I go stand by my friend and the idiot leaves.

My friend and I start talking and I turn around and he is sitting where the karaoke host sits and is playing with his equipment when the host got up for a second. The host has several thousand dollars worth of karaoke equipment and has already been hit at the spot and has had a heart attack. I say to him that he can't sit there he should get up the idiot says to me " F you get out of my face" nevermind I wasn't really in his face but that's not really the point.

After that he starts harassing the karaoke host and my two female friends and I try to separate him as we thought he was going to attack the host. Security finally came and he shoved one of my female friends. Security took him out of the building and other then being annoyed we were trying to go on with enjoying ourselves.

The idiot comes back in through another entrance and one of my friends decides to escort the idiot out I decide to follow cause I didn't want to see this person hurt my friend which I htought he was going to. My friend was outside trying to calm the idiot down then he starts challenging me. Seriously out of the blue I am standing there just watching. I tell him if he has a problem with me I'm right here and then he punches me square in the mouth. I for some strange reason don't go down but while I was going to kill the punk a** security came and started spraying the idiot with pepper spray. The idiot took off.

The cops came and they found the idiot passed out face first on Ventura Blvd at Tampa. My friend and I went to idendify him and we DID press charges. I got a split lip out of the situation trying to be there for my friend.

Moral of the story is don't get involved.

It doesn't work

I hope this is the last time we hear about trickle down economics. It doesn't work. The recession we are in (since no one else is really saying it I will) shows that Bush's tax cuts for the rich don't trickle down to the poor but are kept in the riches on pockets. It didn't work for Reagan, it didn't work for the first Bush and it is NOT working now.

If I hear anyone say it works we need to only look where we are now for proof!

One More Year

Good news people we officially have one more year of the stench of George Bush's Presidency. Exactly one year from today to be exact. Let the countdown begin.

How much more proof

How I always talk about the conservative mainstream media like CNN, etc. I wonder as the media talks about the cheap shots between Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama how come one thing that is hardly mention is how the primary/caucus is even in more disarray for the Republicans? You don't hear about their infighting from the media even though they are as vicious as Clinton and Obama and the fact is after four of their primaries and caucusus they have had three different winners? I've read some reports where the Republicans race might not be decided until the convention in August. But again you don't hear about that from the conservative mainstream media.

What we deserve

I would like to congratulate Bush. We are now on the torture watch list from Canada because of how we treat prisoners in Guantanamo Bay. We join such prestigious countries as Syria, Iran, Afghanistan and China as members.

Again I would like to remind everyone what is going to happen when our soldiers get captured which will be the same treatment as we give our prisoners. And we have no right to complain when that happens. And as always since he authorized it the blood will be on Bush's hands!

Is it or isn't it

Despite Bush claims that we are not in a recession I would like to bring to your attention today's USA Today. In the business section he first two headlines talked about 2 companies laying off approx. 3400 workers. The 3rd headline is about how Citigroup lost $10 billion dollars last year.

So many layoffs, companies losing billions. We hear how inflation keeps rising but we hear nothing from the President who lives in Fantasyland.

For my job it requires me to talk to businesses and I speak with companies, some big, some small but a lot of people who say they are out of business.

I realize he is gone in about a year so he realizes he doesn't need to care but if he worries about his legacy which he claims something needs to be done.

And another question when are company CEO's going to EVER be held accountable for their actions which cost their companies billions of dollars?

Two thoughts

Sunday we are going to find out who is going to the Super Bowl. I have two scenarios on what I would think would make the best match-ups or at least create the most intrigue.

Green Bay vs New England. I admit I'm a big Brett Farve fan and would love to see him have a shot at one more ring. On paper this would be the best match-up.

However I would like to present another interesting option which is New York Giants vs San Diego Chargers. Now as a Raiders fan I hate San Diego and everything they stand for. I think their fans (speaking from experience dealing with them at bars and at a game) make Raiders fans look like angels (yeah I'm saying that and if you ever had San Diego fans spit on you and throw things at you as I have you would feel the same) . What makes this interesting is you have two qb's who were traded for each other, Eli Manning and Phillip Rivers,two qb's who have faced a lot of criticism and two qb's who were top 5 picks.

So there you have it.

So I see where the simple minded President wants to give billions of our taxpayer dollars to our "friends" in Saudi Arabia. I think we need a reminder our "friends" have a direct hand in the attacks on 9/11 as the hijackers were from there. They have supported insurgents in Iraq and should no way be receiving taxpayer money as a reward for injuring our troops.

Accurate

I'd like to give a quote that has been used quite a bit lately by Hillary Clinton which has been blown up by the conservative media to beyond reasonable proportions.

“Dr King’s dream began to be realised when President Lyndon Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It took a president to get it done.”

Honestly that's the truth. It took President Johnson to get that legislation through a then hostile Democratic Congress, specifically then racist Southern Democrats (who have now become Republicans) to have Dr. Kings dream passed and it took President Johnson to get the legislation signed.

But the media, ever eager to pile on Hillary, is making this a huge issue to drive a wedge between her and Barrack Obama. I don't understand the hatred the media has toward her and I probably never will but I always find it funny how the media let's others of THEIR profession get away with saying worse.

I think part of it is the media is mad cause they were predicting Obama to win in New Hampshire and were completely wrong.

Here is why right-wingers piss me off. In Bill O'Idiots column in the Los Angeles Daily News he says hostility toward Fox News is "going to far" and yet if you read the column he shows why there is so much hatred to false news.

Let's start with the obvious lie from them how they claim they are "fair and balanced". If anyone watches false news knows they are a 24 hour publicity hound for the GOP. I have listed hundred upon hundreds of quotes showing how not fair nor balanced they are.

Second they have a bunch of bullies on that network like O'Idiot. I mean take a look at that link I put up for proof and again I have so many proof of threats toward people from O'Idiot on my site and they claim how fair they are? What a crock of BS.

Third is they set themselves up. They personally attack liberal candidates and groups and they don't expect hostility toward them in return? Even in his column he attacks "creepy left group moveon.org" and in the fantasyland he lives in he doesn't think it's wrong and he expects nothing to happen in return.

Fourth look at O'Idiot. In one breath he smears attacks and insults people yet in the very next breath he'll claim he doesn't do any of that. I mean he started an enemies list on his website of people he doesn't like. Think about it. And he doesn't expect people to be hostile toward him?

Even at the link he shows he's such an egomaniac that he actually shoves an Obama staffer out of the way calling him a "sob". Now if he ever put any hands on me I would file charges immediately. But that's not the first time he has done anything like that. He sends his producers to stalk people he invented a phony war on Christmas he lives in dreamworld.

So those are 5 reason why people hate false news. I will probably think of many others.

For those who don't believe how weather patterns are changing throughout the world one needs to see what happened in Baghdad. It snowed there for the first time in memory. Some people might say that hell (at least for the troops that are there) froze over for the first time.

Huh??

I didn't have a chance to talk about the following Bush quote since he said it the other day but it's something that really pisses me off and it really shows Bush's continued ignorance toward history.

Bush said "Israel has to stop occupying Arab land" regarding Palestine

Now I'm not sure how much Bush knows what ACTUALLY happened BUT this is land Israel won when ARAB countries decided to attack Israel and failed miserably. And I've never really understood why Palestinians really blame Israel when it's Egypt's, Lebanon, Syria who really is to blame. Another thing I don't understand is if you look at the original plan for a Palestinian state is it was supposed to include parts of Syria and Egypt YET they have NEVER been asked to make sacrifices giving up their land? It's all been up to Israel who should NOT have to give up any land until it's shown that the Palestinians sole purpose is to destroy Israel which is something they said they want time after time.

And another thing Bush SHOULD NOT be doing is making stupid-ass comments like that because the UNITED STATES is doing the same exact thing right now in Iraq.

I always said those who fail to understand history are doomed to repeat it. Bush is proving that as always.

Any Reason

Is there any disputing Bush is looking for ANY REASON to attack Iran? Did anyone see the bogus video released by the NAVY which claimed Iranian boats tried to provoke an incident with United States ships in the Persian Gulf? I'm sorry but we know since Bush lied when he said Iran had Nuclear Weapons he must be lying about this since he wants more deaths for our troops. And if you look and the Gulf of Tonkin, the phony incident which got us involved in the Vietnam War there is precedent.

How important is race and gender when choosing a candidate?

I also remember when Keith Ellison got elected to Congress as the first Muslim-American many people felt for the sole reason he was part Muslim he should not be allowed to serve because so many people associate being Muslim as being a terrorist. In fact I have the comment in my archives from Glen Beck (on CNN Headline News) directly commenting to Ellison "hey are you a terrorist?"

Also Obama has also taken heat from guys like Limbaugh who compare him to Osama intentionally to try to compare him to a terrorist which any sane person knows is not true.

This is not saying anyone who believes a woman or an African American or a Muslim or anyone of a different race or sex doesn't deserve to be President is a racist. They are truly though I feel resistant to change and resistant to except the fact there are more qualified people to be President then middle aged white males.

Is it me

I've kinda noticed this but I wonder if it's me or not.

I'm wondering why it seems the media is seemingly telling the media who to vote for instead of people like myself who do their own research.

For example you noticed how for a long time McCain was the media darling from the Republicans then all the sudden the media seemed to jump on the Fred Thompson bandwagon when he entered the race then all the sudden the media jumped on the Romney bandwagon then he slipped and then the media jumped on Huckabee bandwagon now the right wing media is back on the McCain bandwagon since it appears he is going to win the New Hampshire Primary tonight.

Then on the Democrats side it seemed the media had a forgone conclusion the election was Hillary's to lose but now the media is jumping on the Obama bandwagon. Now to me the best Democratic Candidate is no longer in the race and never seemed to get any media coverage to begin with which is really strange as well.

So the question is is the media reacting to the people or is it vice versa.

One more comment on the right-wing media how come when Al Gore ran the media complained all the time how he was a robot now they are complaining how Hillary is too emotional? Talk about bias showing.

NFL

I'm reading a column by T.J. Simers in the Los Angeles Times today he is talking about how Los Angeles is doing just fine without a professional football team(well USC might count). And wanted to touch up on that. It's been many years since the Rams and Raiders left Los Angeles now both teams are on tv a lot (unfortunately since both teams were bad this year) but taking a look at things the only NFL team in Southern California, the San Diego Chargers, barely sell out their playoff game this week against USC Killer Vince Young and the Tennessee Titans.

Personally I don't miss the NFL. We usually get the best games on TV each week and as the NFL surely sees ratings are up in Los Angeles.

I do know though the NFL needs Los Angeles.

I also know the NFL has said they will NOT (thank god) put a team in the Los Angeles Coliseum.

So where does it go from here? We will see.

I realize I'm a novice in politics but I'm confused on one thing after the caucus Thursday: Why is the media saying John McCain was the big winner when he finished fourth. I mean (thanks to thinkprogress.org) some quotes:

MSNBC’s Mike Barnicle: “McCain’s stance on the war. They view it because of who he is and the eye contact during these town meetings. He’s the Babe Ruth of town meetings.”

Fox News’ Greta van Susteren: “I can’t think of anyone happier tonight than Sen. John McCain.”

Politico’s Mike Allen: “Tonight is a fantastic night for John McCain. … He’s one of the biggest winners of the night.”

Newsweek’s Jon Meacham: “To me, the great story about Sen. McCain is, when in doubt, give principle a try.”

Fox News’ Carl Cameron: “Inside Washington, he’s been a real maverick outsider.”

I mean he lost to Huckabee,Romney,Thompson and he's being hailed as a hero. For that matter why isn't the media giving Edwards more publicity for his 2nd place finish yesterday still giving their coverage to Hillary?

Funny Obama spent the most money in Iowa among Democrats and won yet Huckabee spent the least amount of money among Republicans and won.

Remember Fred Thompson? When he entered the race the media just gushed all over him saying he was a savior for the Republicans. Now I see where he might drop out of the race if he doesn't do well in Iowa today. He just didn't have any energy and didn't bring anything to the table that would make people gravitate to him.

Predictions

Ok I promised a few predictions. Some will be serious some will be funny(or at least try to be)

Bush will continue to make a mockery of laws in this country as he has done so many times before

The United States, under Bush's "leadership", will continue to be the most hated country in the world

Memphis will win the NCAA Basketball Championship. UCLA will make the Final Four again and USC will make the sweet 16

The Detroit Tigers will win the World Series

The New England Patriots will win the Super Bowl (duh)

Congress and Senate will not impeach Bush or Cheney despite the numerous laws they broke and will continue to break

Nothing will come out of the destroyed CIA tapes even though anyone with half a brain knows Bush/Cheney authorized it

The mainstream media will continue to give Bush a pass despite scandal after scandal

Congress and Senate unfortunately still will not develop a spine and challenge Bush

Despite good efforts from the Bush Administration there will still not be a peace deal in the middle east between Israel and Palestine

The winner of the Presidential Election will be:

The media will still rather talk about famous people being arrested instead of actual issues

USC will win the Rose Bowl (again duh)

Bush will continue to ignore states with natural disasters

The writers strike will be settled sometime before the Academy Awards

There will be no "fair and balanced" radio. My definition of fair and balanced is for every conservative host there is a liberal host. Ladies and gentlemen that's fair.

The housing crisis will create a recession but it will correct itself after about a year

I don't wanna know how high gas prices will go. All I know is in 2002 gas was $1.55 a gallon now under Bush's torture we see it well over $3.00

O'Idiot

I forgot to talk about Bill O'Idiot's column yesterday in the Los Angeles Daily News as he talks about faith and politics. He wonders why Democrats get a pass on it. It's simple really the reason why Democrats get a pass is because Democrats to make it an issue as Republicans do. Republicans force faith on us when most people just wish to worship how they please.

Sorry Bill O. People like you who once said "if you don't like this as a Chrstian Country you should go to Israel" are what is wrong with the Republican Party because last I checked you are free to worship how you please here in the United States.

Interesting Year

This has been an interesting year to say the least. A few highlights on what we learned

We learned that Democrats don't have a spine. At least yet. Bush got everything he wanted and then some and the bills he vetoed which help people like our troops show how he doesn't care even though Bush put them in harm's way.

We learned Bush is able to break as many laws as he can violating citizens civil rights as well as our constitution.

We learned whatever Bush says is a lies. Period

We learned that the media supports Bush in whatever he does

We learned no matter how many laws Bush breaks the Congress won't impeach him

We learned that insurance companies like Cigna don't care about their covered patients

We learned it's ok to talk about Democrats private sex lives but when Republicans (Larry Craig, David Vitter, Rudy Gulliani so far) have affairs we should shut up. Especially since they attacked Bill Clinton on his private sex life.

We learned that the election cycle is way too long

We were reminded Bush still hasn't captured Osama Bin Laden

We learned if you are in the Justice Department if you prosecute Republicans you get fired

We learned the media, instead of talking about real problems and news in our country, would rather talk about Brittney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, etc.

We learned that people care more about things like steroids then issues that matter

We learned David Beckham coming to Los Angeles didn't really do much to promote Soccer

We learned the Los Angeles Kings still suck

We learned that despite a couple of loses USC is still the most dominant football school in So Cal

We learned how much of an egomaniac Kobe Bryant is

Chritmas Grinch

I have two candidates for my Christmas Grinch award this year. First is Cigna Insurance for denying insurance coverage for someone who needed to liver transplant claiming it was "experimental surgery" when it's not. And of course the teenager died.

But the winner, (I know you are shocked) ,continuing to show how he hates American Soldiers who are in harms way is George Bush. The reason is he announced he is going to veto the Defense Policy Bill which among other things gives are brave men and women soldiers a pay raise. His claim of why he is vetoing it is the most stupid thing I've ever heard "on grounds that it would derail Iraq's efforts to rebuild its country".

We now that Bush hates the soldiers as much as he hates America. The last year of him in office can't come soon enough.

Sad

It's a sad day as the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Bhutto was shot and killed at a rally. While I'm sure Al Queda will be blamed this is a job authorized I believe by the current leader of Pakistan. And also the fact that we are there creates the lack of stability there.

Facts about Media

After reading a letter in the Los Angeles Daily News blasting the "liberal media" I want to again remind the writer the following conservative facts about all networks:

ABC on the 5th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks aired the documentary path to 9/11 which pretty much absolved all blame from George Bush and placed it on Bill Clinton.

CBS refused to air a movie that godforbid didn't put Ronald Reagan in a positive light.

CNN has programs hosted by Lou Dobbs, Glen Beck both well-noted conservatives as well as having Robert Novack and many others

MSNBC Tucker Carlson, Joe Scarborough, Chris Matthews are all conservative.

So the myth of the liberal media is just that. I wish these people would stop listening to liars like Rush LImbaugh and open their eyes to facts.

Was I Right?

So going back to last year I looked at the predictions I made. Let's see which ones I was right and which ones I was wrong:

Nothing will change in Iraq.

Bush will try his best to stop the Democrats from getting anything done YET will blame them for not getting anything done.

The Media will continue to parade criminal Republicans (and occassional Democrats) on their talk shows meaning we will only get one point of view as always and it will be the wrong point of view.

The hype for the 2008 election will continue to be more then what it is.

The Super Bowl winner will be the Baltimore Ravens.
Wrong there

UCLA Basketball will make another run in the Tourney but will end up losing to Ohio State in the final four.
1/2 right there. They made it to the final four but lost to Florida again

USC Basketball will show signs of life even though no one shows up to their games to see.
Right. But not last year but they are this year. Mayo is great.

While another year of fear but no terror attacks.
Right there

Celebrities will continue to go through spouses like they go through their wardrobes and no one but the media will care like right now.

Bush will sacrifice more troops in Iran.
Wrong there. For now

There will be investigations on Bush and the most damning thing will be with his and Cheney's energy task force which will show beyond a shadow of a doubt that Bush has everything to do with the high gas prices because gas prices are going up right now and the price of oil is falling.

Wrong there since Congress and the Senate doesn't have a backbone despite the criminal activity of this administration.

The Cubs, despite making perhaps the biggest splash in free agency this year, still will not win the world series. In fact I think it will be the Florida Marlins who will win. They had a great run last year.

1/2 right. The Cubs didn't make the World Series of course but the Marlins stunk


The Detroit Red Wings will win the NHL Stanley Cup. No one will care.
Wrong

The Lakers will make a run in the NBA Playoffs but will fall short to eventual winner the Denver Nuggets. No one will care.

Thinking About It

Thinking about it maybe Bush should have been named man of the year. After all he managed to lie, bully, intimidate this country into complete submission. He managed to murder hundreds of citizens (troops) he is allowed to be corrupt, he has a media that is in his back pocket he has the country so scared with his threats he has done whatever he wants and no one has the backbone to stand up to him. Those are the facts.

Wondering why False News hasn't jumped on Bush and Sec. Rice after all with this "war" on Christmas they both said at press conferences "happy holidays" instead of Merry Christmas. I guess it shows it's ok if they say it but not anyone else. Typical hypocrite.

Boy has Time Magazine got soft. I remember when they would pick controversial people for their man of the year but this year they picked Vladimir Putin which really what impact has he made? If Time Magazine really wanted to they should have picked Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the President of Iran who really made the impact in the world this year if you think about it.

Good News

Good news everyone. The Iowa Caucus is less then two weeks away. For those who want the first part of the election over with we should know the Democratic and Republican nominees by Super Tuesday which is on Feb. 5th or so.

Question

I have a question for anyone who may or may not want to respond but this does apply to anyone who is planning to vote Republican during the next election:

Is it more important to have someone who would represent your religious views who might not be electable or would you sacrifice that in order to retain the Presidency you already have?

I ask that because in the case of Mike Huckabee. He is surging and I wrote about his quotes and the fact he is a baptist minister and some of his stupid, out of touch with reality, (in my opinion) views. He is surging as I said in Iowa but still trails Nationally behind the usual suspects so I wonder what is more important.

So Major League Baseball released it's long-awaited report on steroid use among ballplayers. While I won't list the names involved (too many and you can easily find them) there were some surprising and some not surprising people listed. I do have some questions though if anyone wants to answer:

Can Commissioner Selig suspend players?

Can these players be charged?

If you have seen the report you see there is a lot of heresay can that hold up in court?

How many owners knew what was going on?

And did they cover it up because their pocketbooks were increasing?

Will it affect how you view players?

Will it affect if you attend games or not?

How should it affect players with record like Clemens and Bonds?

Yet again Bush shows he hates children as he killed the s-chip bill. If he bothered to look at the actual measure (as I have) none of the things he claims is in the bill is in the bill. But since the bill would help people who wouldn't vote for him mine as well not give them proper care.

So I see where Mitt Romney is going to give a speech talking about his religion which as everyone knows that he is Mormon. As long as his religious views are not forced upon us (remembering we are supposed to have separation of church and state) I really don't care what any politicians religion is. I care more on how they view issues and how their views on issues effect me. That's the bottom line.

So let me get this straight, Iran abandoned it's nuclear weapons a few years ago but according to this freak in the White House they are still a threat and military action is still on the table? Man I guess Bush is still on drugs.

Robert and I talked about this when we hooked up awhile ago and it's something that needs to be talked about regarding when you have the right to shoot someone. Here is a link for some background information but I will give the details as I know them as well.

The situation is this: A person's neighbor is being robbed. The person rightfully called 911 but the police did not show up at the point the robbers were going to leave so that person, instead of helping the police and giving accurate descriptions of the felons and an accurate description of the vehicle they were driving, decided to take the law in his own hands and kill the robbers. He did not fire a warning shot to get them to stop he shot to kill nevermind the robber posed no direct threat to him or his family.

I think some questions need to be asked and I would like any response if you choose.

A) Was this shooting justified
B) Should this person be charged with a crime and what crime should he be charged with
C) Does this change your position on guns and or gun control
D) Is this person a hero or a villain

A question not asked (mine) at the interesting Republican YouTube was the following to Senators McCain and Thompson as well as Guliani: If you represent the "party of values" how come it's well known about your marital affairs and is it o.k. to have them and why when you have had them did you attack President Bill Clinton for the same thing?

I must say though the questions as I said were interesting even though there was no real opposition questions.

Conservative Media

So I always claim how the media is not liberal as conservatives claim and here, thanks to thinkprogress.org, is more proof of that. Remember when Democrats were reaching out to Syria to try to get them into the peace process in the middle east? Here is what the conservative media said:

Now that Syria is in the conference that Bush is holding (which will accomplish nothing) here is what the media is saying:

New York Times: “Syria announced Sunday that it would attend the Middle East peace meeting beginning here Monday night, joining Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Arab League participants in a turnabout that represented a victory for the Bush administration.”

The Denver Post: “Victory for U.S.: Syria to attend summit.”

The AP’s Amy Teibel: “The Bush administration was able to declare a clean sweep when Syria, the last Arab world holdout, said Sunday it would attend this week’s high-stakes Mideast peace conference.”

The Wall Street Journal: “The Bush administration is even courting a long-time pariah, Syria. … Talks with Syria could go some way in weakening Tehran’s strongest alliance in the region.”

The AP’s Sam Ghattas: “The Syrian participation is already seen in Washington as a success for the Bush administration.”

So again if this isn't enough proof for all you conservatives out there you must be on whatever Bush is right now.

I always laugh at the religious right since they are the biggest hypocrites of them all in a sea (Republicans) that's filled with them. Here is yet another example backing my point.

The religious right seems to be split among backing the Republican candidates for President and I really, considering their "values" that the religious leaders hold so dear to their hearts don't apply to any of the leading candidates on the right. I've typed so many times about how the leading candidates do not hold any "values" that they hold close to them including extra marital affairs, stances on abortion that if the religious leaders have any "values" they would not endorse any of the candidates based on their beliefs.

But there they are endorsing Guliani, McCain, Thompson, etc. showing that they are hypocrites. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Afghanistan

So Bill O'Idiot today is talking about his trip to Afghanistan. First he talks about a stone wall he passed with iron rings where they stoned people as their punishment saying it was a Taliban thing. Obviously being ignorant to the Arab region as he is he is not aware that goes all over the place. Didn't he read the papers recently where a Saudi Arabian woman was whipped for being raped? Yes for being raped.

I found the biggest turkey this year. Believe it or not I'm not going to say Bush. It is a "gentlemen" named T. Boone Pickens.

Why is this gentlemen in my opinion the biggest turkey? Here is why: He offered 1 million dollars to prove the people who "swift boated" John Kerry in the election a couple of years ago wrong. John Kerry accepted that wager and after he did he demanded all sorts of records that would be impossible to have. So in other words he had no intention of paying the wager he offered.


Absolutely a typical Republican and absolutely the biggest turkey.

Disgusting

You would think since this is Thanksgiving week the Bush Administration would want to give a special thanks to the men and women soldiers who have sacrificed so much in Iraq for their phony war and you know with him you will get a photo-op I'm sure since that's all the prick is good for you really won't hear stories like this:

So this disgusting story states how the military is trying to collect bonuses that they gave soldiers who signed up for service back for the reason they got wounded in Iraq. Again it's on Bush cause he is in charge of the military but I guess since he, like most in his administration,dodged serving in Vietnam when it was their time he wouldn't know what it's like to be in combat.

I wonder

I know a few people who try to talk scenario's where Bush would stay President after the election. I can't really think of one except where there would be some attack at a debate or something between whoever gets nominated from both parties. Can anyone think of any other one??

Indicted

I see they indicted Barry Bonds on 4 counts of Perjury and 1 count of Obstruction of Justice. If he is found guilty on any charges I hope baseball erases his record. Throw the book at him.

Old Friend

I was saddened to see that they imploded the Frontier Hotel in Las Vegas yesterday. I have a lot of fond memories of times I've stayed there and it will be missed as yet another monstrosity is built. The old Las Vegas is going away hotel by hotel.

Veterens Day

As we take a day (something I feel is not done enough) to honor or soldiers who are the bravest of the brave I would like to ask why has our President, who dodged serving in Vietnam when it was his term and our Vice President who also did not serve when it was his time, has allowed our soldiers to be treated so horribly after they have come home from serving in Iraq and Afghanistan!

Take a look at Walter Reed and the soldiers treatment there. I know of soldiers who have to wait months at a time to see doctors and I feel that's disgusting and needs to improve. It shoudn't be like this for our brave men and women.

So pathetic and remember Bush is in charge of the military that's why it falls on him.

War for Oil

If anyone needs reminding how this disaster in Iraq was not about anything BUT oil just remember prices for oil before Bush occupied Iraq was $30 per barrel. Now it's $100. Also remember when Cheney had his secret energy meeting before Bush occupied Iraq and he refused to release the information about the meeting remember we don't know who was there and if you don't think this was discussed you live in Fantasyland.

This is not surprising I see where some Republicans are starting to lobby to get Republican Joe Lieberman as Vice President. Believe it or not that makes sense cause he fits right in with them and as I said he really is a Republican with his Bush suck-ups.

Let's See

So Rudy Guliani said the following today regarding his friend, someone who Bush wanted to head the Department of Homeland Security, Bernie Kerik:

"I think voters should look at it, and what they should say is in that particular case I made a mistake," Giuliani said during a press conferred in Dubuque, Iowa. "I made a mistake in not clearing him effectively enough, and I take the responsibility for that"

"But when you balance that mistake against all the successes that we had and the reality that you make some mistakes and you make some correct decisions, I think the overwhelming record is a record of great success," the New York Republican added..

I have said this many times before regarding Guliani: If not for 9/11 he would have gone down as one of the most hated, unpopular mayors in New York City. His approval ratings were about the same as Bush's currently are and a lot of the things which caused failures during 9/11 that he was in charge of are going to come out if he gets nominated.

But back to Guliani's friend he just got indicted on tax fraud, corruption, and conspiracy counts. If you think Guliani didn't know about this you are wrong.

Flip Flop

So I see Pat Robertson did a flip-flop and decided to endorse Rudy Guliani even though he said he wouldn't endorse anyone. Way to go. Typical Right-winger.

Just a reminder

Although the media is ignoring the fact the year 2007 is the deadliest year for soldiers dying in Iraq at 852 so far. What we are hearing from the media is how the deaths of soldiers have dropped off in October but facts are facts.

Funny

It's funny how the Bush Administration is quick to complain about how Pakistan, an alleged friend of the United States and a country that has nuclear weapons, when they suspend the constitution but no one is looking how many laws on our constitution that Bush has broken. Just to remind you here are a few:

First Amendment: In September, a federal judge ruled that the FBI’s use of secret “national security letters” to obtain citizens’ personal data from private companies for counterterrorism investigations “violate[d] the First Amendment and constitutional provisions on the separation of powers.”

First Amendment, Fourth Amendment: In Aug. 2006, a federal district court in Detroit ruled that the Bush administration’ss NSA warrantless wiretapping program was unconstitutional, violating the “separation of powers doctrine, the Administrative Procedures Act, the First and Fourth amendments to the United States Constitution, the FISA and Title III.”

Article I: Testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee in June, then Attorney General Alberto Gonzales attempted to justify the administration’s detainee policy by claiming, “There is no express grant of habeas in the Constitution.” (Article I, Section 9, Clause 2 of the Contitution reads: “The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it.”)

Real Threat

So Bill O'Idiot seems to, as usual, forget a point when he has whoever write his commentary in the Los Angeles Daily News but today he attacks those (and since all he knows is how to attack) who are not taking the made up war on terror seriously. Well hell I guess that includes me too since smart people know no matter how much security we allegedly have, an attack will happen. Now to remind you this is the same "person" who said awhile ago that it's o.k. for Al Queda to attack San Francisco.

I'd also like to remind you how George "dead or alive" Bush has failed to capture the mastermind behind 9/11 Osama Bin Laden. And Al Queda is still as much as a threat today as they were before 9/11 and things like the Patriot Act are failures because we are constantly reminded how attacks can happen by terrorist by the Bush Administration.

But really I'd like to bring up how Bush is using, with the help of the friendly right-wing media the "war on terror" to both deflect attention to the criminal actions of his administration and to scare people to getting the laws he wants passed.

OLBERMANN: Speaking from Russia, Attorney General John Ashcroft reveals that an American name Jose Padilla is under arrest, accused of plotting a radiation bomb attack in this country. In fact, Padilla had by this time already been detained for more than one month.

Number three, February 5^th, 2003; Secretary of State Powell tells the United Nations Security Council of Iraq‘s concealment of weapon, including his 18 mobile biological weapons laboratories, justifying a U.N. or U.S. first strike. Many in the U.N. are doubtful.

Months later, much of the information proves untrue.

February 7^th, 2003; Two days later. As anti-war demonstrations continue to take place around the globe.

TOM RIDGE, FORMER HOMELAND SECURITY DIRECTOR: Take some time to prepare for an emergency.

OLBERMANN: Homeland Security Secretary Ridge cites credible threats by al Qaeda and raises the terror alert level to orange. Three days after that, Fire Administrator David Paulison, who would become the acting head of FEMA after the Hurricane Katrina disaster advises Americans to stock up on plastic sheeting and duct tape to protect themselves against radiological or biological attack.

Number four, July 23^rd, 2003; the White House admits that the CIA, months before the president‘s State of the Union Address, expressed strong doubts about the claim that Iraq had attempt to buy uranium from Niger. On the 24^th, the Congressional report on the 9/11 attacks is issued. It criticizes government at all levels. It reveals an FBI informant had been living with two of the future hijackers.

It concludes that Iraq had no link to al Qaeda. Twenty eight pages of the report are redacted. On the 26^th, American troops are accused of beating Iraqi prisoners.

July 29^th, 2003, three days later; amid all of the negative headline.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Word of a possible new al Qaeda attack.

OLBERMANN: Homeland Security issues warnings of further terrorist attempts to use airplanes for suicide attacks.

Number five, December 17^th, 2003; 9/11 Commission co-chair Thomas Kean says the attacks were preventable. The next day, a federal appeals court says the government cannot detain suspected radiation bomber Jose Padilla indefinitely without charges, and the chief U.S. weapons inspector in Iraq, Dr. David Kay, who has previously announced he has found no weapons of mass destruction there, announces he will resign his post.

December 21^st, 2003, four days later; the Sunday before Christmas.

RIDGE: Today the United States government raised the national threat level.

OLBERMANN: Homeland Security again raises the threat level to orange, claiming credible intelligence of further plots to crash airliner into U.S. cities. Subsequently, six international flights into this country are canceled after some passenger names purportedly produced matches on government no fly lists. The French later identified those matched names. One belongs to an insurance salesman from Wales, another to an elderly Chinese woman, a third to a five-year-old boy.

Number six, March 30^th, 2004; the new chief weapons inspector in Iraq, Charles Duelfer, tells Congress we have still not found any WMD in that country. And, after weeks of having refused to appear before the 9/11 Commission, Condoleezza Rice relents and agrees to testify.

On the 31^st, four Blackwater USA contractors working in Iraq are murdered. Their mutilated bodies dragged through the streets and left on public display in Fallujah. The role of civilian contractors in Iraq is now widely questioned.

April 2^nd, 2004 --

BRIAN WILLIAMS, NBC NEWS ANCHOR: The FBI has issued a new warning tonight.

OLBERMANN: Homeland Security issues a bulletin warning that terrorists may try to blow up buses and trains using fertilizer and fuel bombs like the one detonate in Oklahoma City, bombs stuffed into satchels or duffel bags.

Number seven, May 16^th, 2004; Secretary of State Powell appears on “Meet the Press.” Moderator Tim Russert closes by asking him about the enormous personal credibility Powell had placed before the U.N. in laying out a case against Saddam Hussein. An aide to Powell interrupts the question, saying the interview is over.

TIM RUSSERT, NBC NEWS ANCHOR: I think that was one of your staff, Mr. secretary. I don‘t think that‘s appropriate.

COLIN POWELL, FORMER SECRETARY OF STATE: Emily, get out of the way.

OLBERMANN: Powell finishes his answer, admitting that much of the

information he had been given about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq was

POWELL: Inaccurate and wrong, and, in some cases, deliberately misleading.

OLBERMANN: On the 21^st, new photos showing mistreatment of Iraqi prisoners at Abu Ghraib prison are released. On the 24^th, Associated Press video from Iraq confirms U.S. forces mistakenly bombed a wedding party, killing more than 40.

Wednesday, May 26^th, 2004, two days later.

ASHCROFT: Good afternoon.

OLBERMANN: Attorney General Ashcroft and FBI Director Mueller warned that intelligence from multiple sources—

ASHCROFT: Indicates al Qaeda‘ specific intention to hit the United States hard.

OLBERMANN: And that 90 percent of the arrangements for an attack on the United States were complete. The color coded warning system is not raised. The Homeland Security secretary, Tom Ridge, does not attend the announcement.

Number eight, July 6^th, 2004; Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry selects Senator John Edwards as his vice-presidential running mate, producing a small bump in the election opinion polls and producing a huge swing in media attention towards the Democratic campaign.

July 8^th, 2004, two days later.

RIDGE: Credible reporting now indicates al Qaeda is moving forward with its plan to carry out a large scale attack in the United States.

OLBERMANN: Homeland Secretary Ridge warns of information about al Qaeda attacks during the summer or autumn. Four days after that, the head of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, Deforest B. Soaries Jr., confirms he has written to Ridge about the prospect of postponing the upcoming presidential election in the case the event it is interrupted by terrorist attacks.

Number nine, July 29^th, 2004; at their party convention in Boston, the Democrats formally nominate John Kerry as their candidate for president. As in the wake of any convention, the Democrats now dominate the media attention over the subsequent weekend.

August 1^st, 2004, Monday morning, three days later.

RIDGE: It is as reliable a source—a group of sources as we‘ve ever seen before.

OLBERMANN: The Department of Homeland Security raises the alert status for financial centers in New York, New Jersey and Washington to orange. The evidence supporting the warning, reconnaissance data left in a home in Iraq; later prove to be roughly four years old and largely out of date.

Number ten, October 6^th, 2005, 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time; the president addresses the National Endowment for Democracy, once again, emphasizing the importance of the war on terror and insisting his government has broken up at least 10 terrorist plots since 9/11.

At 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time, five hour after the president‘s speech has begun, the Associate Press reports that Karl Rove will testify again to the CIA leak Grand Jury and that Special Prosecutor Fitzgerald has told Rove he cannot guarantee that he will not be indicted.

CHRIS MATTHEWS, MSNBC ANCHOR: We‘re awaiting a news conference at the bottom of the hour.

OLBERMANN: At 5:17 p.m. Eastern time, seven hour after the president‘s speech has begun, New York official disclosed a bomb threat to the city‘ subway system based on information supplied by the federal government. The Homeland Security spokesman says the intelligence upon which the disclosure is based is of doubtful credibility.

And later it proves that New York City had known of the threat for at least three days and had increased police presence in the subways long before making the announcement at that particular time. Local New York television station WNBC reports it had the story of the threats days in advance of the announcement, but was asked by high ranking federal officials in New York and Washington to hold off on its story.

Less than four days after having reveal the threat, Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York says, since the period of the three now seems to be passing, I think over the immediate future, we‘ll slowly be winding down the enhanced security. While news organizations, ranging from the “New York Post” to NBC New quote sources who say there was reason to believe the informant who triggered the warning simply made it up.

A senior U.S. counter terrorism official tells the “New York Times,” quote, there was no there there.

Number 11, a sequence of event in August 2006 best understood now in chronological order. As the month begins, the controversy over domestic surveillance without legal warrants in this country crests. Then on August 9^th, the day after the Connecticut Democratic Senatorial Primary, Vice President Cheney says the victory of challenger Ned Lamont over incumbent Joe Lieberman is a positive for the, quote, al Qaeda types, who he says, quote, “clearly betting on the proposition that ultimately they break the will of the American people, in terms of our ability to stay in the fight.”

The next day, British authorities arrest 24 suspects in an alleged imminent plot to blow up U.S. bound aircraft using liquid explosives smuggled on board in sports drink bottles. Domestic air travel is thrown into chaos as carry-on liquids are suddenly banned.

On August 14^th, British intelligence reveals it did not think the plot was imminent. Only the U.S. did. And our authorities pressed to make the arrests. Eleven of the 24 suspect are later released. And in the months to come, the carry-on liquids ban is repeatedly relaxed.

Number 12, May 7^th, 2007, Greensburg, Kansas leveled by a tornado and the state‘ governor notes, more in sorrow than in anger, that the redeployment of so much of the Kansas National Guard and its equipment to Iraq might now cripple the soldiers‘ ability to respond if another disaster hits Kansas.

GOV. KATHLEEN SEBELIUS (D), KANSAS: What we‘re really missing is equipment. And that is putting a strain on recoveries like this one.

OLBERMANN: The next day, the authorities announce arrests in a far-fetched plan to attack soldiers at Fort Dix in New Jersey. The so-called terrorists planned to gain access to the base by posing as pizza delivery men. It is not a suicide mission. They state clearly, they intend to kill personnel and then retreat to safety, even though they were going to attack a closed compound, full of trained soldiers with weapons.

And though the plan is branded sophisticated, its perpetrators are not sophisticated enough to have not handed over the videotape of themselves training with weapons to a Circuit City store in order to be transferred to DVD. The Fort Dix plot not only erases from most news coverage the issue of disaster readiness in Kansas, but it also obscures the next day‘ story that in anticipation of his testimony to a House panel, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales has submitted opening remarks that match, virtually word for word, the remarks he had given the previous month to a Senate committee.

ALBERTO GONZALES, ATTORNEY GENERAL: Recognizing my limit involvement in the process, a mistake I freely acknowledge—

a mistake that I freely acknowledge, I have soberly questioned my prior decisions.

OLBERMANN: And number 13, June, 2007, the JFK plot to blow up the jet fuel pipeline feeding John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City, thus causing the entire airport to be consumed in an horrific conflagration. One of the men arrested has, as past employee access, to the sprawling complex, but little knowledge of the reality of the pipeline system.

The manager of that system tells the “New York Times” that the pipeline is not some kind of fuse. Shut off valves throughout would have easily contain any damage, just as a leak in a tunnel in any city would not flood everything in that city below ground. The so called plot happens to be revealed the day before the second Democratic presidential debate.

And as the scandal continues to unfold over the firings of U.S. attorneys, and their replacements by political hacks, the so called plot is announced by the Bush appointed U.S. attorney for Brooklyn, New York, and by the police chief of New York City, the father of a correspondent for Fox News Channel.

So you see Bill it's NOT left-wingers but right-wingers who are using the "War on Terror" to further their agenda. As usual you are wrong again.

And by the way are "friends" in Pakastan really know how to run a Government don't they? Looks like our troops are going to be in the middle of not one but two Civil Wars and when Bush invades Iran he will sacrifice even more of our brave men and women.

Makes You Wonder

Has anyone really noticed the two most qualified candidates for either party seems to have no chance in anyway to win the election. I feel the most liberal Democratic candidate is Denis Kucinich and the most conservative Republican is Mike Huckabee but they seem to have no chance in winning next year.

The best line of the debate season so far was by Joe Biden the other night when he accurately described Guliani (paraphrasing a tad) "the only way Guliani knows how to make a sentence is with a noun, a verb, and 9/11." That's so true and shows nothing how Guliani is qualified to be president.
