Barbara Bush

I've been meaning to write about this for a couple of days now but I saw where former first lady Barbara Bush made the following comment regarding the evacuees in the Houston Astrodome "This is working very well for them." and "What I’m hearing which is sort of scary is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is
so overwhelmed by the hospitality." and "And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this--this (she chuckles slightly) is working very well for them."

So what she meant by that is it's better to be sleeping on a cot in an arena is better then sleeping in a home where you can be comfortable. They might not have had a privileged life like she has. Not had a mansion or anything like the fact to say that they are better away from their homes, their lives, thier friends and family is the most stupid comment I've heard regarding Katrina along a line of very stupid insensitive comments.
