Back to Pollitics

This morning I would like to talk about Bush's speech monday comparing the attack on 9/11 to the attack on Pearl Harbor on 12/7/41 and nothing can be further from the truth.

The only thing that the attacks have in common is both caused massive deaths. But if you look at the attacks and the response it's not comparable at all.

I've posted action and reactions before I'd like to do a couple now.

Action: Pearl Harbor was attacked by Japan

Reaction: The United States entered WWII against Japan and Germany who was already invading and dominating most of Europe.

Action: The World Trade Center and Pentagon were attacked as well as a plane that was heading perhaps to Washington D.C. crashed in Pa. These attacks were done by Osama Bin Laden and carried out by people of Saudi Arabia.

Reaction: First we invade Afghanastan but forget all about them and invade Iraq. Ignoring Saudi Arabia's part in the attacks and invading a country (Iraq) that had nothing to do with 9/11.

In lamens term it's like after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor the United States invaded Brazil.

By the way quick question can anyone name the different reasons why we invaded Iraq?

I remember spreading democracy
WMD'S
Immenent Threat
Iraq attacked us on 9/11

I know there is another couple if someone can name them please let me know. Thanks
