What Went Wrong

They are talking about what went wrong on CNN with the disaster in the south. I'd like about that.

As posted earlier from the long-term Bush failed cause instead of helping out projects at home such fixing the levees but instead Bush had to have his war in Iraq and the money went there. Bush also decided to put FEMA in the Department of Homeland Security and that was obviously an error both of which ended up costing lives. Bush also has a lot of National Guard troops in the war in Iraq and the fact that they were not availible immediately caused a lot of the looting that went on.

Now as far as responsibility at a local level what should have been done is since there was warning of Katrina the Mayor of New Orleans should have got every bus availible every Greyhound everything availible to him so they could evacuate the city. I know in every hurricane there are idiots who think they can ride it out and won't leave but remember the ones who would get out a lot of them were unable to due to no transportation.

Let's take a look at the recovery though. I also saw on CNN that Mississippi,a red state, has pretty much all the power restored and Louisiana has not. Remember that on bias and funding.
